I have had the Vivo x100 Pro for about 3 months and the camera still blows my mind.. every photo I take I'm as breath taken as the moment I first got it. That 4.3x telephoto is as close to DSLR as it gets currently for phone photography, absolutely stunning.

I dont like the OS though with the notification issues and want to leave it but camera is the most important for me.
@@Granturion For me, the Origin OS is the smoothest OS I've ever used. Yeah, it would be nice if you could change the Chinese integrates apps to English but I hardly ever use them.

I was hoping that Xiaomi is going to beat Vivo. I have compared so many top smartphones and nothing can beat this device. Of course Xiaomi has crazy zoom and selfie slightly better but other than that. Vivo is still a camera king ❤😊😊
As a photographer, I think the key to Xiaomi 14ultra defeating vivo lies in the idea. Xiaomi 14ultra provides 4 focal lengths of dual telephoto macro coverage, covering basically all focal lengths. Vivo does not have the color of Xiaomi 14’s 4 focal lengths. The consistency and white balance are better than vivo. Xiaomi provides an amazing 16-bit color ultraraw mode on lyt900. As far as I know, this is to use multiple raw formats for exposure bracketing, providing extremely high-quality photos and It has great light tolerance, can record more details of highlights and shadows, and supports lightroom workflow on mobile phones and PCs. This time 14ultra also provides ev adjustment buttons, which is very useful. 14ultra provides log on videos. mode, and supports the application of 709 restoration lut monitoring during preview shooting, so I personally think that the 14u mobile phone is a lightweight mobile phone choice for photographers when traveling. It is a camera with mobile phone functions, while vivo is just a mobile phone toy. All these experiences are what I got from the Chinese version of 14u.

@@Roadside121 no that's processing bro. Use pro mode and raw photos and etc to actually compare cameras. Otherwise you are comparing algorithms. This video is comparing algorithms. Vivo is the algorithm king. Or the auto mode king. They deserved the recognition and love for their hardwork, but they get it from the auto mode people more than serious photographers. Xiaomi is definitely appreciated more by the the serious photographers.
@@yousifaldailami4241 well yea. Is the processing part. But even if u use a dslr, the processing also key point of what brand u gonna choose. I used Olympus in the past and its always lack in dynamic range and noise comparing to my friend Canon and Nikon. Overexposed area or too underexposed cant be recover. So even xiaomi offer more technical specs if the output is bad, its bad. Probably they got can do more in creativity,

I must say that xiaomi looks solid for the first time, previous generations had alyways terrible reds.

I clearly doubt it will be better. Hardware : new lyt900? Already on Xiaomi 14 ultra and X7 ultra. snap 3? Already on X7 ultra... Maybe new 200mpix ? 160 already on magic 6 pro. Of course, software and processing will be key, but hardware side, we already have other flagship there and x100 pro is better. Maybe, I say maybe, new one will not be better on some aspect. On my side, I don't take the risk to sell now my x100 pro in order to wait for new one, even if price will decrease logically

For the sheer amount of control you get with the Xiaomi with 4k120fps from the main and the thoughtfulness of the camera grip, you just can't find anything like the 14 Ultra. But for the price and competiveness, you can't go wrong with the x100 Pro either.
Without te fogg issue Xiaomi would be nice.

Hello LL! I received another software update this morning on 30.05.2024 for my CN Vivo X100 Pro - v14.0.22.12.W10 with further camera improvements to photos and zoom performance. It also improves its touchscreen responsiveness and network performance. I'm in EU and can't believe how well Vivo are doing with firmware updates as it only keeps making the best phone so far in my opinion even better - The Vivo X100 Pro is truly incredibly well optimized and fine tuned by now and I cannot be happier with my purchase.

I have the chinese version Vivo. Only using it a couple of weeks even though I bought it in January. I love my Mi 11 ultra so had to really try to stop using it! The Vivo is on Origin OS and has already had a few updates, the latest being yesterday. I must say I cant fault it. Its a quality phone amd the build quality and cameras are exceptional. All banking apps work great. My Mi 11 ultra global could never add my cards to wallet on google so its a great addition. I really recommend it

Tradingshenzhen has tons of videos about that already. Visit their website as well where they inform you about the limitations.
From the top of my head:
* Android Auto might not work
* Google Wear works only with chinese watches
* Google Assistant won't be able to be put on a quick start via shortcut button or swipe (except Xiaomi where their new HyperOS allows it)
Everything else should work as expected as long as the phones have no issues passing Safetynet (for banking or Google Wallet).

Since 2020 a good HDR is what we want but i still love the approach from xiaomi 14 which retained the professional mirror less looks as we all know professional cameras don't do HDR photos. If you want HDR photos yes Xiaomi will lose but if you're looking for mirror less professional camera look photos xiaomi will do

HDR meaning high dynamic range, any photo from a professional camera has better dynamic range than an HDR photo from a phone.
HDR is a gimmicky name for a process to somewhat hide the limitations of the tiny sensor.
Lmao man which unprofessional told you professional camera can't do hdr ? They absolutely can and will beat any smartphone without even breaking a sweat but it all depends on ability to edit raw photos and photographers knowledge about shooting.

Small correction about the Lytia remark around 39:36; LYT900 is unfortunately not using '2-layer transistor pixel structure'. If you check Sony's post with Lytia sensor model list, only the LYT800 features this, hence the minimal difference in comparison to last gen IMX989.
On a side note, I would really appreciate if you would do a small comparison between X100Pro, X14U, Find X7U in RAW photography - IMX989 vs LYT900, and telephoto comparisons, which phone offer the best, hardware wise.

I think Xiaomi is great to take landscape images. But it completely not suitable for portraits.
Very good comparison. They are two monsters in photography, with very close results, I would practically declare a tie between them. Overall, the Vivo seems better optimized, but the Xiaomi has greater potential for evolution, taking into account that it has just been launched and updates tend to fix flaws, as happened with the 13 Ultra, which improved a lot. I just thought that in Zoom it could have been a draw for both, 4.6 for each. The Xiaomi's zoom looks better during the day, and the Vivo's superior at night. Regarding Features, it is also quite relative, as Xiaomi has some exclusive features, such as LOG, 8K recording on all sensors, RAW, 4K 120fps, 1080p at 1960fps (exclusive to Xiaomi), 4K60 with Dolby Video, greater possibility of LUT filters , Pro mode with more features such as EV, cinema mode, Director Mode, variable aperture 1.63-4.0 with many aperture options, Master Portrait, as well as the Photography Kit that allows you to expand the features even further, making it look much closer to a DLSR. I think there would be a technical draw with 4.5 for each as well. This would be a tie for first place between Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo, which makes a lot of sense to me, taking into account the amount of innovations that Xiaomi brought this year, basically it would be the combination of Oppo's hardware with Vivo's features, well incredible. I can't wait to see what it will look like after 4 or 5 updates. Anyway, I thought the comparison was great, I can't wait to see how it will do against the Oppo and S24 Ultra. Excited for the launch of the Vivo X100 Ultra 😊

There is only one reason for me to pay extra for Xiaomi 14 Ultra: the variable aperture leads to a beautiful sunstars rendering. Things that only Huawei can do previously. Otherwise Vivo X100 Pro all the way.
what about origin os. is there a way to choose from new or classic control center on xiaomi 14 ultra? and what about notifications, will they arrive on china phones?
You cannot choose the statusbar control center or notification style. Notifications arrive on time after whitelisting the apps I want to receive notifications from

@@TobiLotta Normal apps work fine. Google apps almost all as well. Just Android Auto and Google Wear not really. Whitelist means in the battery manager enable manual management of the app and enable autostart so it starts automatically in the background.

I also own an X100 Pro and definitely think that Zeiss Natural is the way to go. In most cases it looks better imo. Would've preferred to see that being used in the comparison.

Cameras I have to test. Software and fluidity is on another level on the Magic 6 Pro. Pixel 8 Pro has microstutters in a lot of apps which the Magic 8 Pro doesn't

Dxomark ocenił tez Honora na 156, a Vivo na 150. Nie wiem na ile to faktycznie jest warte. To samo z ekranem. Honor zbiera medale. Czy Vivo jest faktycznie gorsze sprzętowo i programowo?
IMHO Vivo is better. Dx0mark has weird criteria that I do not agree to like ultrawide and their influence of the zoom score.
Softwarewise OriginOS (CN) on the Vivo is imho better. FunTouchOS (global) is worse than MagicOS however.
Moving up from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, I'm disappointed that although there is an improvement in photos and videos, they still have really bad jitter in low light! And I had a problem with condensation on the lens of the main camera!!!
Sending mine back to get replaced because altogether with the free photography kit and tablet and trade in deal its a no brainer but they better fix it!!!
Condensation is also an issue I ran into. So far not on the 14 Ultra though only 14 and 14 Pro as well as the predecessors
Vivo ultra wide narrowness just kills it. If a global X100 ultra with a wider camera comes out it will sure be on my list.

Achja und Grundsätzlich muss das natürlich auch für die Google Play Dienste geschehen, denn Push Benachrichtigungen laufen alle über die Google Server, damit die immer schön maßgeschneiderte Werbung liefern können

Yes, zoom range with video is better with Xiaomi, ultra wide seems a bit sharper in the edges but everything else vivo holds up or is better than Xiaomi. The Xiaomi is too constrasty, colors are off (the red and yellow in the warning sign are wayyy off for example on Xiaomi). Sometimes the face shots with Xiaomi there is a so yellowish or red glow in your face that you seem beaten up.
Overall vivo is much better than the small gap in points suggest.
The vivo pro plus is coming out next month rumored to have 200 mp main rear camera

Dear brother,vivo's 100 mm (4.3x)portrait should be more sharper as it contains much more details..sometimes slight shakiness while shooting with 4.3x makes the photo blurry...so try to take snapshots while using 100 mm lense..
100mm portraits where in the tripod with timer. Cannot imagine there being any shake.

A little disappointed by the points you have distributed for your ranking, from what I see on my big screen, the 14Ultra supplants the X100 pro in almost all areas except perhaps night photos, but the X100 Pro also had its problems youthful when it was released and has improved over time, the same goes for the 14Ultra which in my opinion should take a much better place if not the best. let's wait to see future updates. Thumbs up for your work

Seen some reviews of Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It isn't the realistic that we seen by eyes. Possible reason is that dark contrast, the autovignette style of Leica Vibrant/Authentic. We haven't seen that on Huawei X Leica. I prefer the Huawei x Leica due to fact its shot is real and seen by eye than Xiaomi x Leica.

The lyt 900 is not that much of a improvement compared to imx 989 as it only decreases power consumption and information transfer rate other than that actual pixels are almost the same . Also it seems vivo's coating , v3 chip , isp of dimensity 9300 is very well optimised for low light photography . No smartphone even comes close to vivo in low light
ANo mobile phone can beat the photos taken by the 14u's ultraraw mode in low light mode. You can try it. I also have a bunch of test videos here. All I can say is that traditional digital mobile phone testers cannot do as well as a photographer. Testing a device because they are not professional enough.

Let's be serious here. If you are paying this much for a camera phone then you should use it like a CAMERA phone. Use pro modes, raw files comparision. These should be included alongside point-and-click shots.
Yes I hear you. I will see what I can do. I usually don't work much with RAW as I try to get everything correct in camera. I am lazy and don't have much time with the dog and daughter to take care off and the wife also wants attention :P
