I would highly recommend you put a bit more research into warships. People, as I'm sure you noticed, get very particular and grumpy when you design the wrong one. If you are really interested in learning how the Bismark sank, read up on her sinking. The British shelled and torpedoed the heck out of her. Her design was so good, her crew scuttled her as the British were unable to sink her. There are a lot of pictures of the Bismark wreck on the internet. Check out the images. There are even diagrams of the hits she took during her last stand. Neat stuff!
Eren Jaeger First you follow the link and click download. Then you need to extract all the files and move it to your downloads. Then click sinking simulater 1.2 and play. (link in discription)
If anyone takes over the game, here are a few suggestions: (if you have ideas reply them and ill add them to the comment if i like them, ill give credit) Tools: Torpedo (Your cursor becomes a "target, if you click, a torpedo is launched. Doing blast damage and a shock wave) Iceberg (an iceberg appears, going in front of the ship randomly puncturing it) Flame (spawns fire that spreads. It destroys all wooden objects and weakens/rusts metal. Tsunami (spawns a giant wave on a random side of the ship, doing insane damage to the side it hits. Options: Passengers, a color of dots which move around the ship and trys to escape the water. Turns black and sinks if they are dead. a news report at the side of the screen if turned on in the settings where it says things such as: The captain got the first report of water in the ship, the first passenger has died etc Water temperature, how fast passengers die in the water, 0 is insanely cold. At 10 only people who cant swim (1 in 10) dies. Other functions: Lifeboats, some passengers escape when the ship starts sinking also SHIPS SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO BEND THAT MUCH, MAKE THEM MORE STRAIGHT DAMMIT
Airtight compartments on the bottom of the ship is a great idea. The flotation it provides gives ample time to evacuate, and greatly decreases the chance of a tear in the hull.
The Bismark wasn't a "Nazi" battleship, it was a German one. You don't say that the USS Arizona was a "Capitalist" battleship, you say it was an "American" one
Dodge Them All the kriegsmarine was the name for the German navy in ww1 as well and of course it would have been commanded by Nazi's because it was made when the Nazi's where in power so you would not call it a Nazi ship just like you would not call a Russian ship a communist ship
The spheres are actually hold water for fire suppression. It would take more energy, and time, to bring up water from the sea, so they just used gravity. The Bismarck also often carried four Ar 196 float planes, launching them with a catapult.
Yes it was. Bismarck had 12 Wagner boilers and 3 turbine plants. She could churn out 150,000 horsepower and cruise at 35 knots. Her main battery consisted of eight 15-inch guns, mounted in twin turrets. She had advanced stereoscopic rangefinders, and could zero in and hit enemy ships after only a few salvos. Bismarck had an impenetrable armor belt, made from a special formula Krupp steel, 13 inches thick.
The full and proper name for the American ship you have modeled is the USS Bismarck Sea C.V.E. - 95. Good to see you have not forgotten the 'C' in Bismarck, a very common error.
You know what this game needs? A way to easily make and edit ships on the fly. The editor could behave like the level does when you zoom and pan. The game detects all the materials defined, and creates a hotbar on the edge of the window. The editor is just a simple pixel editor. When finished, the image is saved into the ship directory.
"In her final battle the following morning, Bismarck was neutralised by a sustained bombardment from a British fleet, was scuttled by her crew, and sank with heavy loss of life." It's literally in the third paragraph.
I subscribed to u like year ago then I kinda stopped watching your vids after I got out of kill everything faze but I've just found u again and it's just bringing back all the memories
There wasn't any american Bismarck carrier. What you are trying to use here is USS Bismarck Sea. It wasn't named after the German chancellor, but after a site of battle between US Navy and Japanese Navy (They are doing this up today, USS Iwo Jima is a great example). Bismarck sea lies near New Guinea, (surprisingly) near Bismarck Islands.
im on my sisters laptop so im on her account. i have been watching ton of these videos to see if i like this game and i really want it now. it looks so much fun
Around 12:45, I'm pretty sure a ship can bend like that. If I remember this correctly, the right battle and what-not, the RMS Hood bent like that and then split in half after fighting (and losing horribly) to the Bismark. (Bismarck?)
there are two bismarcks, both of which are out of service. there was the WW2 bismarck and the 1890 liner by the same name, which was given to White Star Line as compensation for britannics sinking.
Dodge Them All Oh, well if you ever are by Prescott make sure you stay away from the Holiday as ours sucks and are complete jerks. Also stay clear of the Kitchen Table, they have horrible food and costumer service
As an engineer (electrical, but still) who has studied structural failure, let me just say the bending you're seeing around 12:39 isn't actually that exaggerated assuming that the entire front of the vessel is completely flooded. Metal bends far more than a lot of people realize. It may be different circumstances, but if you want to see something incredible try searching youtube for "boeing 777 wing test".
The level of "give" on a ship as well would greatly depend upon whether it uses rivet construction or welding construction. Welds are more rigid, but less strong overall, and the German Bismarck almost certainly used rivet construction.
But if a battle ship is made from brittle steel which is very common for the time these ships were made so once they exceed a certain angle they will snap or tear as me being a game developer my physics system which I'm trying to get working on this game will allow you to choose the hull material so if you won't the highest grade steel you can get it
Good point, I hadn't considered the degraded material quality for the time they were made. Nice work on the game so far, and good luck with including tensile strength factors.
The USS Bismarck Sea (CVE-95) was a WWII escort carrier, and was sunk by kamikazes on February 21, 1945 during the Battle of Iwo Jima, and she was the last US Navy carrier to be sunk during WWII. Escort Carriers were typically half the length and a third the displacement of larger fleet carriers (like the USS Enterprise). While they were slower, carried fewer planes, and were less well armed and armored, escort carriers were cheaper and could be built quickly - this was their principal advantage, as escort carriers could be completed in greater numbers as a stop-gap when fleet carriers were scarce. However, the lack of protection made escort carriers particularly vulnerable and several were sunk with great loss of life. The light carrier (hull classification symbol CVL) was a similar concept to escort carriers in most respects, but were capable of higher speeds to allow operation alongside fleet carriers.
I don't actually mind you blowing up the ships like most others do. Please, try to make the HMS Hawk sinking though. They must have a ship pack for that, because the ship collided with the RMS Olympic.
Your first ship is a fleet It's also called Bismarck But the 'Bismarck' that they're talking about is The Warship BismarckThe one that got sank by HMS Hood.
There was two radar masts, mabye there ,two on the bow ,but before the D.K.M. Bismark sunk the mighty H.M.S. Hood she did a test blast or something and it the battleship was so strong that the blast broke the highest radar onboard, and also you are awesome and I know a lot about the Titanic
The Bismarck was a WWII Bismarck class German battleship which became infamous for destroying the HMS Hood. It became a big target of the Royal Navy because of that and was quickly taken out by British Swordfish torpedo bombers.
The Bismarck was NOT scuttled. It was destroyed by ships and planes from the royal navy. It was already crippled, as it had taken a torpedo hit to its steering gear in an earlier battle.
The Bismarck refused to sink until it was scuttled. It was torpedoed duzens of times and it was hit by anywhere in between 400 - 600 shells. The Bismarck was only barely sinking but it's canons stopped working. So the Captain ordered for the Bismarck to be scuttled. He'd rather take down his ship himself than let it be taken down by the Royal Navy. The Bismarck sunk HMS Hood and if it wasn't for pure bad luck the Bismarck would've likely not been sunk at all.
The German Bismark was revolutionary for it's time, when you look up pictures of the German Bismark and you see the firepower it's packing, that was WW1, yes World War 1. You might be wondering, "OK? That's still a pretty standard ship." Thing is, that was the very first ship to have guns THAT big.
I thought it was the first battleship to have guns the big. Please do correct me if I'm wrong, but it was very, very, dangerous, that's why it's so famous.
"It's a aircraft carrier so it carried planes". Nah it carried tanks!!
+William Smith They could carry tanks but it wouldn't be practical.
One ship did bend to its breaking point, the titanic
I would highly recommend you put a bit more research into warships. People, as I'm sure you noticed, get very particular and grumpy when you design the wrong one.

Scarheart76 I think my channel may fare better if I make a mock video where I do everything wrong!
As long as you have fun!
Dodge Them All is the game free ?
I was expecting THE Bismarck battleship
I was expecting the same thing
This video has been up 3 hours and already has 21 comments. The best way to start my day!
No offence but what do you actually find entertaining about this game?
dude can u do the uss unsinkable? the one that looks like an aircraft carier that was seen in the how to make a ship tutorial?
Eren Jaeger First you follow the link and click download. Then you need to extract all the files and move it to your downloads. Then click sinking simulater 1.2 and play. (link in discription)
Vince Mortier I don't know, what's entertaining about shooting people in Call of Duty or Battlefield? What's entertaining about watching Dr. Who?

I recently came across your channel again, and it brought tears to my eyes. I love your content, and it’s good to see you again.

also
SHIPS SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO BEND THAT MUCH, MAKE THEM MORE STRAIGHT DAMMIT
Tornadoes that makes things fly off of the ship and randomly tears the metal of.
+theron Elite I may consider picking this up eventually once I've learned coding?
also when they sink they become jelly
... great ideas :)
bombs
I don't know why but although the game doesn't look like much its just so satisfying to watch a ship slowly sink
+Mind Oddities It's also relaxing.
i don't know 'bout you guys but I LOVE IT WHEN HE BLASTS THE SHIP INTO THE ATMOSPHERE!
Hunter lisle It's a love or hate thing.
i don't
Also me I love it
@@DodgeThemAll Yeeep!

Airtight compartments on the bottom of the ship is a great idea. The flotation it provides gives ample time to evacuate, and greatly decreases the chance of a tear in the hull.
You silly american, just assuming the Bismarck who'd be an american ship ^^
Umm Wikipedia maybe
You silly NOT-american, not knowing about the uss. Bismarck.
Silly me,being american but NOT knowing about the USS Bismark,Only the german one.
It's the USS Bismark Sea which was American
the first one at least, second ones german
Honestly, this wasn't the most interesting video I've seen, but your enthusiasm kept me watching through!

The Bismark wasn't a "Nazi" battleship, it was a German one. You don't say that the USS Arizona was a "Capitalist" battleship, you say it was an "American" one
The ship was built and commanded by the Kriegsmarine, which was formed by the Nazi Party.
Dodge Them All
the kriegsmarine was the name for the German navy in ww1 as well and of course it would have been commanded by Nazi's because it was made when the Nazi's where in power so you would not call it a Nazi ship just like you would not call a Russian ship a communist ship
Piratejoe44 Before the fall of the Soviet Union I would have called a Russian ship a communist ship... ?
mrbibs350 Soviet ship... Soviet era... Nazi era 😂
fuck you ti was a Nazi ship
The spheres are actually hold water for fire suppression. It would take more energy, and time, to bring up water from the sea, so they just used gravity.

Yes, named after the Battle of the Bismarck Sea (no connection to the German battleship; just a coincidence).
Tr Connelly yeah Bismarck was huge ship that can 1 v 2 ships except carriers
the phisics engine is more made for small ships
On small ships it works great
Or at least not as big as that

Actually they tried to scuttle the ship but the British navy found them first and fired 3500 shells and 8 torpedoes into the Bismark before it sank
They actually did scuttle the ship, after heavy damage they opened all of the doors to the airtight compartments.
Inigo Montoya
No they didn't
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_battleship_Bismarck
"In her final battle the following morning, Bismarck was neutralised by a sustained bombardment from a British fleet, was scuttled by her crew, and sank with heavy loss of life." It's literally in the third paragraph.
Inigo Montoya the Bismarck was so damn lucky that it survived the encounter with the Hood, speaking of the hood he should make the Hood.
Peter Akhurst You're right, even though the Hood was launched in 1918 it was still a damn good ship.
Reason why I look at these videos I seem to love how ships sink. LOL.
AA Guns are not always on the back
I dont see why everyone else doesnt like seeing the ships fly away, I think that it is really funny

Dumb question... how do you zoom out? i am going to assume you need to use the mouse wheel? (because i have a laptop and no wireless mouse)
Ah yes battlefield the best place to learn about military ships great video though man
I have a suggestion. Try puncturing your ships in different areas. Try experimenting with what ifs. Like a torpedo hitting the back or middle.
I subscribed to u like year ago then I kinda stopped watching your vids after I got out of kill everything faze but I've just found u again and it's just bringing back all the memories

does this game still exist ? and can you play it on Android or just computer?? please somebody let me know

13:00 ships of that size can bend like that, by that time it would be ripping in two. (The Tittanic sunk similarly to that.)
Yep
14:57 ; Actually, I think it is at about a 45 degree angle.
Isnt it an aircraft carrier ,if I am not mistaken?
This suprises me, normally if you look back at the movies of sinking battleships, they roll over to the side.
