this song really was a slap of fresh air in my face. it’s so different from what i’ve heard in kpop. they’ve got bright future ahead of themselves and have already done their thing even though they debuted two years ago

i heard that the songwriters that were part of this said “we’re not familiar with kpop” when they were asked to be part of the project and NewJeans’ record label said “exactly, we want a sound that has not been done in kpop” or something like that, i don’t know the exact wording but that’s the idea of what actually happened
The official music videos are very entertaining to watch if you like a little story with the song. Maybe check those out too besides the performance videos? Their choreography is good though, can't deny.

And essence of creativity comes from the additional parts. They are super creative not only in song producing itself but in every other aspects.
