Also another thing i dont know if there was hoppers in beta 1.9 prerelease 3 or any other means to collect items automaticly but if there were you could use them to also collect the end portal (Not frames) so you could truly build it without frames in the middle? If that doesnt work You could try to die a lot of times and leave before they despawn because then you could transfer the item files into the new world and items laying on the ground And truly make the end portal 1000x1000.? I have never done either of theese things so bare in mind that i dont know much abt it!
Unfortunately things like this didn't work either! It appears that even if I got them into a chest or on the ground, they got removed when I upgraded the world version. I'm glad you enjoyed 💜

It's not a newly discovered game mechanic. As I've said to someone else, the main thing that I used to determine if it was an exploit or not was the intent. That is, were the addition of the blocks and the replenishing of them after death intentional features? Is upgrading worlds an intentional feature? The answer is yes. Are things like duping intentional features? No, that's why they get patched. Therefore, I'm simply using game mechanics, not exploits. Hope this helps!

New worlds often get corrupted upon downgrading for a REASON, and I see a lot of "I did X in Survival Minecraft" challenges lately relying on downgrading as if it's not an exploit. If such a thing is considered legit gameplay, then it's impossible for Mojang to ever re-balance the game, because anything that's unbalanced in any version is forever unbalanced. you can just switch back to that version after they fix it.

And at the end of the day, things like this are going to come down to a matter of opinion. At the end of the day, it doesn't really have much effect on the video itself, so I just went with that I felt was right (and what I've seen from others in the community). Yeah so I half covered this, but the reason that I couldn't do that is because it would have been impossible to connect the actual chunks of PORTAL themselves since they require a portal to be built... if I delete the frames, it's just empty space. Had the grey blocks (the end portal blocks) not crashed my game instantly, I could've brought them to the newer version and used them to do that. Unfortunately just wasn't possible! I obtained 4096 of each eyes of ender and end portal frames, but I didn't use all of them. I calculated what I needed for a 60x60 area beforehand and overestimated so that this video would be possible even if my calculations were off by a bit. What's important to remember is that I needed more than just my base calculations of numbers, since about 45% of any frames with eyes got destroyed by mushrooms during the expansion process. If you remember, I actually couldn't. The End Portal Block itself got removed from your inventory and chests automatically when you updated versions. It wasn't possible because it crashed the game when interacted with anyways. Hope this helps!
You need to load the same world up Minecraft 1.6 first, I believe, and THEN you can load up modern versions. If you don't load it up in 1.6, it won't show up in future versions
I used creative in test worlds only - not the world with the actual portal (which was created when I died 63 times). In other words, creative was only used in other worlds for testing footage and visual demonstrations for the video only, and nothing with the actual portal world was affected. Hope this makes more sense, I'm glad you enjoyed! 💜
I debated this before writing that part down... oftentimes, exploits are considered "unintended features"... things that could also be called glitches and will probably be patched after some time. For example, dupe glitches are considered exploits. The server glitch that Vitalasy used all of Lifesteal Season 4 is an exploit. These, when fully discovered, get patched. But the transferring of items is not new or unintended. That is so players can upgrade their worlds without losing them - someone who LOVED their 1.19 survival world can upgrade to 1.20 to obtain new items and play the same world instead of starting over. This is not something that would ever be patched since they want this functionality in their game. Therefore, it is an intended feature, and this wouldn't be considered an exploit. Hope this helps 💜💜

I am saying that it allows me to get a higher proportion of the PORTAL block in the area outlined by fhe frames because there are fewer EXISTING frames due to the 1-row portal gap being utilized. For an example of this, imagine we are typing using x's and o's, and for every x i type, it must be followed by two o's before I can place another x. x o o x o o x As you can see, 7 letters have been typed, and 3 x's are present. Now, let's imagine that the amount of o's is reduced to one. That'd look like this: x o x o x o x There's still the exact same amount of letters (7), but I higher proportion of them are x's compared to o's (4 out of 7 instead of 3 out of 7). By minimizing the o's, I can maximize the x's. That's the same thing I did here: I minimized the end portal frames that were on the ground by using the 1-row method, which allowed me to have a higher proportion of portal blocks in the 60 by 60 (3600 block) area that I was placing within. To summarize, there are more portal blocks in the area and fewer frames in the area that I was choosing to build in than there would have been if I built the portals next to each other.
