@@veronicabermudez4802 no external wires. Yeah. That’s what portable is. Just bc it can’t fit in your pocket anymore doesn’t mean it’s not portable. Same size as a laptop.
The only time this device is viable is literally when you're on an airplane because you'll be playing for extended amounts of time (not too extensive since it'll be most likely 3-5 hours) and you'll have the drop down table to rest it on and you'll have an additional power source if you're portable charger dies.
This is the only thing I could see a use for it, but its so big and bulky, I can never see someone who flies frequently enough to even justify the space it takes up. Everyone I know who flies on a constant basis, packs as little as possible to min/maxing their luggage. As it is now, they don't even have a carrying case for their switch, just stuff it into their backpack because a case is too big for them.
@@WindFromTheLandscapee just play handheld. And for 100$ more instead of this accesory, get an acctual tv wich you can use for a lot more then just a bigger screen for your switch
I was reading reviews, the display of the screen doesn’t output the same resolution as the Switch itself natively, so it’s actually lower resolution. The OLED Switch would need an OLED monitor or OLED TV to output to get the same crisp images and colors. A standard HD screen that doesn’t have the output of the Switch is always going to be a downgrade.
I wonder why nobody has thought of this before?? Oh, wait, I remember, it's because the Nintendo Switch OLED model comes with arguably the best screen available on a modern handheld console already and doing something like this would most certainly downgrade the gaming experience, not only will it be stretching a smaller picture across a bigger screen without the graphical change like when you plug it into your dock, but it's LCD and not OLED, so every single pixel is going to show and it will look muddied up. Plus, oh my god, does this take the already less than stellar portability of the Switch and nuke it out of existence! I've seen laptops that are more portable than that thing! Honestly, I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but whoever greenlit the project needs to be flogged for making Nintendo Switch games less fun for every single person who bought one of those screens.
“What if we were to make a portable TV that’s totally impractical to actually use handheld, and terrible compared to a regular dock? Surely this will be popular in the _____ market”
By the way, this thing costs as much as a switch for a worse, slightly larger screen that doesn't even have its own battery. I doubt the company that made this gave him enough to buy this thing.
Reminds me of those magnifying glass attachments for Gameboy’s to make the screen bigger, I personally feel like the Switch is a big enough screen for a handheld though and any bigger is not really necessary, at that point you may as well just play it on a TV
The problem is we need an OLED version of this thing. The bumping screen size is wonderful but the loss of OLED is just unusable. Once you go OLED you can't go back
I was gonna take it on an 8 hour flight to make passing the time more fun, but i dont think TSA would like the look of that power bank straped to the consone
The problem with the joycons isn't actually the grip, it's the fact that they placed the buttons and analog sticks above/below each other in a straight line. If you look at all controllers from other consoles and from Nintendo's past you will see that they should be placed diagonally from each other
It does. It helps with reflections, but harms clarity, color, and vibrancy. Thats why OLED screens are usually extra glossy. Its to not tarnish the image.
