- Doug Ford addressed the media for the first time after the start of the LCBO strike and states they will not be selling the liquor chain calling it an "asset" for the province.
"We're not selling the LCBO. It's an asset." Um, it's a monopoly. Monopolies benefit the holder, not the consumer.
Uh..... The people of Ontario are the holders of the LCBO, so it benefits all of us. The proceeds from the LCBO go to fund hospitals, schools, etc.

Monopolies in the retail sector just don't work and without protection will ultimately fail. We are all adults capable of making informed decisions. It's time to sell the LCBO and give the consumer choice.

Privatize LCBO, extend and allow more stores or supermarkets to sell alcohol ! These People does not satisfy, a lot of people are out of jobs or not earning enough money in Ontario, sad ! K
