this was super helpful. I am now post menopausal, and 18:6 hrs fasting window is not helping anymore. Then I automatically restrict my food even more, even during the 6hr eating window. I need to change my mindset, which is going to be a huge struggle , I have fasted for 20 years now. Menopause changed everything :( Thanks once again I am definitely going to try your method....it makes sense.
I put on a stone doing it over a month doing it. I’m 52... very post menopause. Did menopause without HRT.... working with a nutritionist, looking at my symptoms and worked out I need 5 small meals at least 50% protein each meal to shift my metabolism. I feel completely different. More concentration, energy and desire to do way more exercise than I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Yes!!! I love that you've taken time to share your experience. Thank you! Same here. I'm finding that quitting IF is having a very positive impact on me, even though I really did enjoy eating within a smaller window of time. I'm not the biggest fan of breakfasts, but find that having a pre workout meal is making a huge difference. I'm so glad that what you are doing is working so well for you.
This is such an encouraging video! I’ve been on HRT since age 16 (now 43). I’ve tried IF 16:8 since Jan and have definitely plateaued after 10 lbs off (currently 165 maybe?) I need to strength train but don’t know where to begin! And I find the discipline of eating/ not eating easier than lifting weights. Any advice where to begin? Thanks
Yes I can definitely help you with strength training and getting started. You might need to tweak your nutrition a little too. If you fill out the Sparkle back form in the description of this video, it will give me a clearer idea of your struggles and your goals and I'll get back in touch with you via email.
Very helpful, thank you, however I am a bit confused with the amount of protein I should eat. If my ideal body weight is 60 kg how much protein should I eat? 60-70g?
@@resaboutb.9566 Oh jeepers, sounds like the tech gremlins are out and about .... it's looking ok at my end. Really sorry that you've had issues with it.

Your camera has gone off, am looking at a blank screen, can hear your voice though.
That's weird, because I can see Ms. Hartley but can't hear her!
