Am I the only one thinking title needs to be changed as Eita vs Daigo? I always thought during the match Daigo was using the left Akuma or bluish Akuma however as I see from final player reactions and after from comments below I realised it wasn't.
When the accidental button got pressed at 2:49 how come Daigo was allowed to take the round? It looked like Eita was doing one of those crazy Gouki come backs. Was it him that accidentally hit the oause button?
@acidglow No he cancelled it into teleport, then into ultra 2. Crouching jab to crouching forward is a 1 frame link, then you have I think 3 or 4 frames to cancel crouching forward into teleport and then ultra 2. It's pretty damn hard.
Tournament rules state that the player who paused the game be either disqualified, or let the match go on if the opponent wishes to. Obviously Daigo chose the latter and took advantage of this minor confusion to take the round.

You know, as much as I like Akuma, I just realized I DON'T want Daigo to choose him as his new main, because it means I'll have to watch him do that damn Ultra 2 animation over and over and over....
@SedoSan controller adapter. Usually on tournaments people have sticks and controllers for different platforms (f.e. only an xbox360 stick or ps3 stick). To be able to play with your stick on a foreign platform you have to use an adapter. And sadly ps3 to 360 adapters are pretty crappy and you get more input lag with it on the 360 than on the ps3.
@T0b0re Madcatz sticks have a pause lock. I'm pretty sure their number 1 sponsored player would make sure to use it. Especially if it's someone like Daigo who makes sure to do everything perfectly if he can help it.

Daigo is cool. I used to be a hater, but he's really the coolest guy out there. Very well mannered and respectful of his opponents, even though everybody wants to see him lose because it rarely happens.

On the other hand when you see Daigo play in evo etc, not a single person claps when Diago wins. Its like boxing, fighting in the other boxers home town has a big affect on a person psychologically, nobody would be happy in a situation like that, however some people show their emotions more than others.

You're basically saying that if YOU mess up and pause the match while you're in the middle of a combo that I have to sit there and let you finish off a combo that you may or may not have even completed? for free? with no pressure... and with less damage scaling? Eita knew he messed up and waited for Daigo to end the round, because he understands the rules. He didn't cry about it.
