my daughters diet was ramen, chocolate chip pancakes and cookie crisp cereal, coco puffs....lol thank god her diet since improved since then.....shes 26 yrs old

Your very blessed to have a husband that supports you. The only place that we have full sun is in our front yard and he refuses to "allow" me to grow any vegetables in our front yard.....uurrgg...
I am an engineer as well 😂. That is pretty funny! I only got into gardening seriously when I bought my own house. My parents wouldn’t let me do crazy gardening stuff as a kid and it stopped my gardening itch. I wanted to have a more tropical/native landscape and then I found David/Pete on RUclips and my mind took off!
@@WildFloridian I think gardening really goes well with an engineering mind. Efficiency and order, making the most of resources. But I had two grandparents that had gardens. My grandpa loved forest and trees so the gardening just jumped one generation 😆
This was interesting. We also started gardening and even had chickens and goats because of our son, severe allergies and asthma. We never had done gardening or kept farm animals at all before that. He is older now, but we definitely have kept that gardening bug, too. 😊🌻

Your marriage sounds like my marriage. My mother used to say that we were the perfect balance to each other. I'm always pulling him forward and he's always holding me back. I don't let him stagnate and he keeps me from running amok. 😆 we fuss, we argue, we bicker, it takes us forever to finish a project...and we are sneaking upon our 50th anniversary in a couple of years, so not to bad for high school sweethearts that were so different our friends were taking bets on long it would last. 😁
Thank you for sharing your family, plus K9s, you've definitely learned your gardening via 'on the job experience.' I had my first garden when I was 5, sadly just like now my garden was mostly in the shade. And I'm still learning how to garden in the shade and semi-shade. PS - the smartest K9 I ever had was a PomPoo. 😎
