I don't know how I ever missed this guys comedy. I have followed comedy for over 40 years, and just discovered him a few months ago on RUclips. One of his performances in 1994. He sang, played the guitar. Talked to a couple girls in the audience, and had the whole room laughing hard. He should be world famous. That's how good he is.
I was shocked when we went to a local club and he was there. I knew him from tv but then he told us he was from our town. I hope to bump into him one day.

I worked in retail for almost a decade and I see a lot of husbands on their phones asking their wives if this is the item they were talking about and all I do is laugh really Hard! I love the ones now where they're on alive video. Chat and the husband is scanning the aisle with this phone so the wife can see every Box that is the newest thing and it makes me laugh all. The time! I'm not married? I'm single and I don't understand why doesn't the wife just go shopping? And then you see the old school ones where they have a paper where the wife wrote everything down and the husband doesn't understand
He is so funny and spot on! I love his accent. Is that a New York accent? I love observational comedy - and with no swearing! I hope to watch him on here again.

The Brooklyn accent is one of the most well known as a New York accent as even most early Long Islanders were Brooklyn transplants. Depending on whether someone is Jewish, Italian, or Irish their New York accent may swing one way or another.
Teenagers 🙄 My kids were teenagers before emojis. My son could text DURING SCHOOL with his phone in his pocket! My daughter didn't use vowels and expected me to 'get it' 😃

I had similar problem, not phone but glasses. One night, I was trying to see who car parked in front of my driveway but I couldn't see well. I ran around the house looking for my glasses, but only to find out I had my glasses on the entire time it just that it was dark and the car was partially hidden from the bush That'swhy I couldn't see. I wish I made this up. Lol
I've known John since I met him in a bar he owned in Huntington NY. He'd perform there and make up songs about things that were going on around him. If I walked in during a set, my name immediately got inserted in a line of the song. He is casually funny, as much so in real life as on stage. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago, and it is good to see him emerge with the success his talent deserves.
