- Out of the ashes of the destroyed Jerusalem Temple, a new interpretation of Judaism emerges. Its new clergy are rabbis (not priests), its new ritual is prayer and study (not sacrifice), and its new Scripture is a double Torah-written and oral. Thank you Rabbi for this wonderful lecture. As I'm nearing the end of my conversion process, I'm preparing two essays to present before a board of three Rabbis...kind of like a dissertation. One of the many subjects deals with the rise of Rabbinic era and the Torah as our constitution guaranteeing our autonomy. Your lecture was a great help!
It would be interesting to discuss the Saducees and their disappearance after the destruction of the 2nd Temple

Lisa Simpson once went to Revered Lovejoy for advice how to deal with her father who was Bootlegging cable tv. She asks if she should turn her father in but the Reverend points out the commandment of Honor thy Mother and Father. He suggests she boycott a big boxing match coming up on par per view. Marge (Lisa’s mother) sides with Lisa. When Homer sees his actions have isolated his family from him (combined with a really good visual guilt trip his consciousness gives him) He makes the right choice and joins his family not watching the fight and cuts the cable after the party.
What’s the point of secular jewish humanism? Shouldn’t you call it “Atheism with an interest in Judaism”. Why preference Judaism over Jainism or any other religion?? Secular judaism is the same as secular christianity. There is no “christian science” or “jewish science”... that’s the POINT OF SCIENCE.

Did i perhaps get you wrong and missed something. Did you actually say Daniel was written much later than the accepted date and was Pseudepigraphia in nature? Please clarify
Yes - this is commonly accepted among Biblical scholarship. If it's on Wikipedia, it's mainstream. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Daniel#Composition
