I hope they throw the dating sim crap and back being fully focus on one main girl. Like Sora no Kiseki series.. Estelle and joshua is fully integrated into story thats why liberl game is soo good, the other charactera get another love interest, olivier/schera (now canon) agate/tita and so on, Crossbell game did contains slight dating sim but in the end only ellie get the confession ending and pretty much the story hints on them.. While the other just crushing on him. I rooting for elaine, van treated agnes like little sister and the blue haired boy seem to love her

It's safe to assume that Van's VA is too expensive to voice every conversation in the game. Still, it's weird seeing him talk undubbed with other characters who are fully voiced.
It's à Japanese regular trope that main character aren't fully voiced or not voices at all. I guess it let the player to read themselves out loud so they immerse in the body of the protag
In japanese visual novel normally they stop talking in romantic scene or ero scenes simply because it literally break the inmersion for the players there. Not so much when they are fighting evil dude x.

Actually, instead of just protagonist mute beside main story dialogue, I find Kuro no Kiseki to have entire party members you have mute more frequently beside the more important dialogue

I like it though because it’s rare and when there is voice acting i just really really pay attention to it, unlike other games where there always voice acting, i skip as soon as i finish reading each line bc it’s not rare to hear their voice. In this game when there is voice acting, you know it’ll be impactful and important, i like how this scene make it like we’re reading visual novel with muted mc.

So Basicly Van is similiar to Rean, trying to shoulder their burden alone. The difference is Rean have Family (Siscon) and friend who want to share his burden. but Van is orphan and the one who adopted him isn't really nice guy (Joshua and Rean are lucky). Now that i think of it, both Van and Rean learn they have scary power inside them and both trying to control it.
