You know I'm actually not against the fact that this has a switchable back. I think it's because of how GREAT it looks. Takara made the MPM8 look all plastic and bland while this guy literally looks like the same Megatron that destroyed the city and rip Jazz in two pieces
Good looking figure! I can definitely see the appeal, but personally I'll stay with the Weijiang one. I don't see the point of making a figure transform if you're going to switch out half of it with parts that can't transform in any way. Maybe a ThreeZero version would be more suitable for that? I can't deny that this looks good though. Great review Ben!
The only megatron that threezero is making is the revenge of the fallen megatron. I dont know why no company will make a non transforming version of 2007 megatron :(
This toy seems a little pointless. You have to swap out half the toy in order to get any improvements. If they had just made the back wing piece swappable with clean back armor part that would have made a lot more sense.
Now this is worth getting, dont even care if the final version doesnt transform, love the 2007 Megatron design and let's be honest, the original MPM Megatron is heavily hindered due to the atrocious backpack.
but in terms of transformation it sucks, to do the back it was enough to make sure that the wings entered the body from the back, and then the hands still have the problem of the claw with 3 fingers together that don't move, and need to be totally redone
Weird that TF Direct had pre-orders still available about 3 days ago. I assume it's a potential reissue but the ETA is 2022 is the weird part. Then, 2 days ago all the remaining pre-order slots were taken.
Ben do you think this is the definite movie Megatron? I’ve seen several versions but besides some die cast and different shades of metallic grey I can’t tell the difference (I got the BmB Bay Optimus)

i have seen hasbro masterpiece megatron go for over £150.00 on ebay , i liked the wei jiang version i thought about buying it but when you add the overseas shipping and possible tax , i have seen a preowned like new for £70 or £80 if thats a good deal or not , it does not have the box

Nice but I'll keep my Black Mamba and original 2007 (painted silver and gold) figures over this one. As for the flight stand, if I had this I'd probably display the figure with the new torso and then combine the accessories and original chest into a 'jet form' and display that next to him on the stand, giving me both modes even if not 100% accurate.
@@BensKOllectables Should work if you use the canon and maybe have some spare parts from something like your B2 acid rain etc.. mecha kits to replace the absent hands with canons or missiles etc.. ;-)

So unless you want to pose your transformers doing sit ups, it seems redundant to me, and just adds complexity and cost.
