I kid you not, I edited this the whole day. got frustrated at the writers every 5 minutes and took many breaks.

okay so I don’t want to start a shipping war and I know most of the people watching my videos are hosies, but I really want to know how handons feel about the recent events.
do you genuinely feel like they’re in a healthy relationship?
to me it looked like they were both manipulated into getting back together by this week’s monster and they didn’t resolve any of their previous issues?
I agree with you. He was mad at her for not saying “it’s going to be ok” which I thought was ridiculous because it’s not ok right now.
And I hated how he wrote that song from the letter her dad wrote to her, don’t get me wrong Danielle has a beautiful voice I just think he went about it the wrong way and now they’re ok just because she sang the song he wrote. It just doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t think their relationship will last. I know that’s what they are going to focus on this season but I think they’re doomed in the end🤷♀️
Hi I’m a Handon and I feel like the way they do some things are sometimes crappy
For example
-the whole non consensual kiss thing was just hypocritical like he ligit just woke her up with a kiss that hope said wouldn’t work in the episode prior
- 2 they just keep fighting abt the same things. Like we get it Landon ur not special and hope is. GET.OVER.IT. And I think that it’s maybe Landon that has a problem being human , not fitting in, not being special , not having a home. Which relates back to his trauma (being a foster kid who wasn’t wanted or special and just wanted a home)
And hope needs to cut loose a bit and let Landon live. Which like the counselor said ,it runs back to her dad and her loss/trauma. Since she doesn’t want to loose him. Which these are both things they need to work out themselves...separately.
- they put them back together wayyy to soon .she literally sang and it’s like “all there problems are solved” No there not and they have a long way to go and I thought a break from each other to grow individually was the right call.but apparently we aren’t doing that lol
*also the blatant disregard/ disrespect for hopes feelings during this episode was awful. Like klaus needs to be in the musical that u can’t change but using one of the only things she has left of her dad as lyrics. Cmon Lan that was a dick move.
That being said I still think that there endgame.Because of the love they have for one another. And I do not know why you guys hate Landon so much 🤣🤣.honestly I like him but that’s just me However I do think they need to take a step back to grow and develop as individuals and focus on themselves. Like hopes entire story shouldn’t revolve around Landon.
That being said I’m not opposed to Hosie / hizzie matter of fact I would love them together
( And I think that is the perfect timing for hosie/ hizzie) They could help hope grow and evolve and learn. That’s just my perspective tho.

Also, about Caroline being the better parent, am I the only one who noticed that Alaric, not once, checked on his daughters about the musical, like Lizzie being scared about doing her mom justice. A whole day went by! Did he spent the entire day picking the correct flowers to present to the Sheriff or something? He's just pathetic at this point. Alaric is one of those parent figures who are obsessed with reliving their glory days and use their kids as an excuse for it, you cannot convince me otherwise.

I think Landon is the one that can’t deal with the fact that’s he’s human now. He keeps saying Hope can’t deal with him being human now, and he’s probably a little bit right, but it feels like he wants to put most of the blame on her. He wants to run around and help save the day all the time and someone is going to have to look after him, especially with Malivore monsters running around. He’s always trying to fit in, and I get it given his past but sometimes it’s a little much.
And before someone says something I know humans are perfectly capable of helping fight monsters, but Landon sometimes doesn’t know when to back off.
This is how I feel. Everyone has their own opinions
he’s definitely projecting onto hope. yeah, she’s scared because he’s mortal now and always getting himself into life-threatening situations, but he’s the one who seems to thing there’s something wrong with him for being human and that hope should think it’s wrong, too
But when she was first with him in The Originals she was ok with Landon being human.
He also keeps crossing lines like when he made the song out of the letter that Klaus wrote. Just toxic.

Last season, Josie was telling Hope to stay while Landon was leaving. Why’s that? Cause Hosie is endgame
The problem is.... Hope did work through some of her issues in this episode, thanks to the "monster" but the writers seem hellbent on ignoring the fact Landon's issues are as big a problem in their relationship. And so we get Hope apologising to him at the end, FOR WHAT?!
They've had the same argument for like 7 episodes in a row and Hope's the only one that seems to be suffering from it. If epic love why she so miserable all the time?
you're right, she did work through some of her problems, but I still feel like they could have gone further and dig deeper, make it bigger, because her trauma is legitimately huge and always glossed over.
I really hated the monster approach, it just didn't sit right with me to see this discount klaus offer her advice, but that's just me (I'm still attached to the originals). She was going through it this episode and landon didn't respect her wishes and boundaries. He makes everything in their relationship about him.
In the end she thanks him for exploiting her trauma for entertainment purposes? like what?
I hate that she is always the one apologizing. He was the one who projected his feelings and initiated the fight, but she has to apologize? Yes, she was kinda being a dick to him with her small comments and gym class incident, but I think that was okay and I get if she would be apologizing for that, but to me it looked like she was saying sorry for their fight and her part in it, when she didn't even do anything wrong.
You're also absolutely right about hope being miserable. She is being held back by him and it makes her look so weak.
At this point I ship her with everybody except landon.

@@PattyBab don't talk to me about frustrated! The last 3 episodes have been ruined for me by the Handon stuff. I just hate it so much. For a while at the end of S2 I tolerated it because I thought it would lead to a break up eventually, but now it seems like they're doing the exact opposite.
I honestly kind of loved the monster dude this week. I thought Hope's little chat with him was so good for her. To actually get to speak about the thing that's at the root of all her issues, and for someone to listen to her, instead of what Landon usually does. But of course they ruined it all by making it all about Handon again.
P.s. how weird is it that they resolved their issues by her singing words HE WROTE! He's literally put words in her mouth to get her back together with him?!

I was initially very excited and hopeful, I still feel like we're getting a breakup soon, because it's a cw show and they have been together for so long, it's time for them to try out different combinations.
That being said *sigh* Hope will probably not get a gf, because Josie already has a female love interest coming and two sapphic ships would be too much! (I hope you can see my sarcasm in this, I really would love for the entire show to be gay, but we know how it is)
I will try my best to be open to Josie's new gf, I still think it's great we're getting Josie a gf and have some rep on the show, but my hosie heart is slowly shattering to tiny pieces.

I’m so mad that Josie and Hope has had like zero chemistry this season so far. The writers keep on trying to force Handon even though there’s no chemistry and Hope obviously loves Josie, and Josie loves Hope. I heard that Hosie will happen (I heard this from the actors live) but they don’t know what season. Julie said it will happen soon. I just want Handon to stopped being forced, and I want Hosie to happen!

i don’t ship nobody on this show so i see all ships comparing to the other ships. and i’m just like Handon is soo over hated for no reason. they call Landon toxic and useless just because it’s a trend. nobody actually looks at things from his point of view. i really grew respect for Landon after this episode. i mean i’ve always liked Landon but some things he does is so outta line but let’s not forget some things Hope does and said was outta line too. i can kind of see Hosie happening but what has Josie really helped Hope with? Josie has never apologized or thanked Hope for anything. Josie hasn’t taught Hope anything about opening up or not being afraid to love. at this point if Hosie happens it’ll just be forced. yes they had a crush on each other but that’s literally the only reason people ship them.🥱
Landon gets so mistreated by everyone and this episode he was going through so much pain and suffering and nobody even bothered to ask him if he was okay. he found out he wasn’t special anymore and then lost the only person who’s ever stuck by him through it all. they want Landon to die but it would just be like Tvd and TO. snap necks, kill someone and bring them back to life, pull out someone’s heart, blah blah. i was kind of getting tired of it. we’ve all seen and know of siphon witches, travelers, werewolves, and vampires. but never in tvdu have seen experienced the powers of a Tribrid or the powers of a Phoenix. so them being together is like an edge of like what if Landon turns dark and gains all these powers and then he convinces Hope to turn into a Tribrid. like that’s like a power couple and would keep me on my toes.
And another thing, i see why people ship Hosie because it would make the female lead bisexual and exploring her sexuality but it would totally mess up the relationship between her & dr saltzman and lizzie. i think if we give the Hosie stans a rain kiss or something then they should just shut up and leave it alone.

I just think that if Landon dies that would honestly make the story boring because he’s the son of a bottomless pit. we’ve seen his powers and explored what he can do. now i wanna see if he goes all bad boy on us and just decide to say fuck it and just go off. I’m equally sorry for this long answer. I’m splitting it into multiple comments to talk about every single one of your paragraphs. Please keep in mind that I don’t want to start a fight, I simply want to keep it civil and share my opinions on the points you’ve made.

You said that, but then went on and mostly talked about one ship in particular; that’s totally fine, just kinda felt like you were contradicting yourself.

I don’t think Handon is overhated, these days tv show fandoms often take shipping wars to a new level and in this case it’s also happening on legacies. Hosies/Hizzies get constantly attacked and hated just like Handons, it is what it is.
I don’t necessarily think that Landon is toxic, but if Handon keeps drifting into the direction that they’re hinting at, they are in fact becoming toxic. Sometimes a relationship just gets messy and unhealthy. They lack communication and often only scratch the surface of the problems that they’re having when talking about them.

I didn’t get any respect for him in 3x03. In fact it made me actually dislike him. He was pushing Hope’s boundaries the entire episode and even after she asked him to not include her family, he did and even used her father’s words. Simply said, he should’ve accepted her request and left it at that. What did he do that made you gain respect for him? Exploit Hope’s trauma?
He does a lot of things that are out of line. Every season he leaves for some reason and more importantly every season he projects his trauma onto other people.
Season 1? He talked MG into seeing his parents even after MG was hesitant about it. It resulted in Landon’s death, Raf was in his human x werewolf limbo and witnessed his brother’s death, MG killed someone and was then bitten which almost killed him. Don’t get me started on all the emotional trauma everyone involved suffered from this. Hope lost her boyfriend and had to safe his killer, MG realized he is a ripper and the stuff with his parents was just messed up, Raf experienced the werewolf/human struggle and almost killed MG. That’s a lot.
Season 2? He encourages Raf to find his fam. They find the dad. It ultimately results in Raf staying there and then getting killed by the necromancer on his way back to the school. The golden arrow took Landon’s powers , because Raf was under the necromancer’s control and killed him (again emotional tauma)-.
Season 3? He exploits Hope’s trauma for entertainment purposes.
Hope does things that are out of line, just like every other character on the show, just like Landon. These “kids” are teenagers/young adults, they have to grow and learn a thing or to, it’s totally normal that they make dumb decisions and mistakes. Landon has made lots of them. It doesn’t help that he’s always trying so hard and wanting to be the hero, when he’s not equipped for it.
oh boy where do I start here? I haven’t watched season 1 in a while, so I’m definitely missing a few things here. Anyways.

Josie has helped Hope with multiple spells/monster fighting situations, she was the one who actively felt it when Hope jumped into Malivore (remember how she flinched? it’s because such a huge part of her life had been ripped from her), she was the one who realized Hope was the person they’d forgotten, she traveled alone all the way to New Orleans to see Freya and work on the memory spell, you could then say that she is the reason why Freya had a sweet reunion with Hope after all of that. Josie was the person that asked Hope to stay at the school after everyone got their memories back, she made Hope feel normal (this is an actual quote from the show), she’d been there for Hope when Landon was leaving the both of them behind and that’s just naming a few of the things she’s helped Hope with.

She apologized to Hope for burning her crush confession and paintings in the process, I’m sure she apologized for the dark Josie ordeal, but we haven’t seen it or they’re still giving us this scene. She got Hope new paints and redecorated her room. Also what does she even have to apologize for?
She has thanked Hope so many times, “thanks, I couldn’t have done this without you”, thanks when Hope helped protect the sand clock, thanking Hope when she helped with Lizzie, thanking Hope when Hope called Lizzie out for being mean to Josie.

She has taught Hope a lot about opening up/not being afraid to love, she told Hope that she can make her own decisions, she wanted Hope to have the comfort and love of her family back hence why she brought people’s memories back. She was the one who knew how emotional the Klaus/Caroline dress would make Hope. She put her own feelings for Landon aside so that Hope could be happy with him.
People don’t just ship them because of their crush confessions; we ship them, because they rely on each other so much and have a mutual understanding for each other. They believe in the other person more than in themselves. Hope was the only person that could get through dark Josie and talk to real Josie, even if it was just for a few moments, her own father and sister couldn’t do that.
I recommend watching this video simply to see how organic -and not at all forced- Hosie is as a slow burn romance. And since you ship nobody on this show, you should be able to see the points that are being made in this video. And if anything it just really slaps (the music). Please watch the whole thing.

I honestly think the timing of the musical episode was so off! Landon deserved an episode to deal with the aftermath of losing his brother, a proper episode without the musical buzz. He wasn’t mistreated by everyone, in my opinion, he was in charge of the musical and of course people had their input and wanted to share it with him. I didn’t like that Landon, the person who’d spent the least amount of time at the school was writing a story about its history, but that’s just me. Nobody asked him if he was okay and I think that’s something the writers messed up, because they basically didn’t address anything raf-related. To be fair Landon didn’t let others see that raf’s absence was affecting him, so they didn’t ask. They really should have made an episode in between.
You talked about the potential of the new creatures in this paragraph too, I agree that having some new powers and abilities in the mix is cool and refreshing, the monster of the week format though is kinda ruining the show for me. They rarely have time to explore relationship dynamics and character development. So much time in the episodes is spent on the monsters. 3x02 was so good! And it didn’t have a monster in it.

This plays in with what I’ve just said. The monster format doesn’t give a lot of time for character development. We haven’t seen tribrid Hope, because that’s a huge storyline and they haven’t had enough time to focus on it in. Hope didn’t even have a real storyline in season 2 and that’s very disappointing, considering it’s her show. Landon turning dark and manipulating Hope can easily also be spinned around, imagine dark Josie (which we already got! so it’s possible!) influencing Hope and making her turn into a tribrid with her humanity off! Now that’s a sapphic power couple that would keep me on my toes!

This paragraph triggered me for a good reason. You’re saying that a sapphic relationship *would* make Hope bisexual. That’s simply not right. Danielle and Julie both confirmed Hope’s sexuality multiple times, she *is* bisexual. Even if she is in a relationship with a man, she is bisexual. You’re invalidating not only Hope’s sexuality by saying this, but everyone else who identifies that way. I’m sure you didn’t mean to, but please be more careful and considerate.

I don’t think Hosie would mess up these relationships. It’s actually pretty nice that Hope already has a bond with Alaric and Lizzie. Lizzie and Josie weren’t Hope’s friends when they were younger, they didn’t interact much, because Hope has always been the lone wolf type, also she had to hide her identity back when her parents were still alive, so she didn’t bond with a whole lot of people.
They’ve only build their relationships over the past two years, it wouldn’t be weird for Hosie to date. Also Hope and Lizzie are getting closer and closer, I would totally love a “my best friend’s sister is the one for me” dynamic.
Alaric has watched Hope grow up and has a special bond, he already considers her a part of his extended (weird) family, so if she ends up being his daughter in law that doesn’t change things for them. They’re not blood related so it’s all good. Have you watched the flash? Barry and Iris are actually adoptive siblings and got married.

I don’t like your tone in this, considering you don’t ship anyone on this show, anyways, we wouldn’t shut up. It wouldn’t organically work for them to just kiss and leave it at that. Their bond is far too emotional and strong to end there. Hosie stans are a different breed, we love the tiny hints we get that there is something more going on/brewing. We live for Hosie crumbs, and we wouldn’t shut up after a hosie (rain) kiss. We would relish and rejoice.
