10:58 I want to point out that Landon was under the mind control of Puck, just like everybody else, if Puck wanted that scene in the musical, because he thought it would help Hope, it was going to be in the musical. 17:23 I didn't expect to hear Candice's voice in the episode, I was so happy about it!!! 💖💖💖
The song about Caroline being okay because of Stefan is about him teaching her how to be a vampire and teaching her about control. He basically almost taught her everything she knows about being a vampire. It’s not about her turning into a vampire.
True, Stefan did teach her about control and she said that, but I was just mad they boiled down her whole development to that one fact instead of the fact that she changed as a person
SPOILER Klaus is the BEST father he literally died for hope. So maybe in everyone else's mind he is the super villian but that does not change that he would do anything for his dauter. Also I feel so bad you did not watch the originals before the legacies because now you have major spoilers if you ever want to watch the originals again.
Now I am just imagining in the last episode Caroline just finds Katherine plotting to destroy the town and unleash hell, pulls her aside and just starts singing to Katherine a thank you, how she will be ok, and how much better she is because of Katherine.
I'm so team Hope and Josie too hahaha and that was a really good video, I felt understood! it's awful how they just cut Bonnie off in the first opportunity, I wish there was a better explanation for that than just the obvious one :/
i would like to comment on your point about lgbt in the tvd universe: yes, in tvd itself ther was practically nothing, but in the originals there are three major characters with long term safe relationships, and in legacies there is actually i believe they are doing a good job, in the sense that when you are a teenager things dont go great most of the times and things dont work out for many reasons, however in legacies they chose to portrait a lgbt+ protagonist who is ending a good relationship and that after a while (excluding landon that was kinda a twisted dream - which wasn’t gonna work anyway, because of what it meant plotwise and since it all happened bc hope didnt exist -, jade seemed like a problem of actors' scheduling and stuff like that but most importantly to me it was kind of an awakening moment for josie (and a way to also show that the kids alaric basically imprisoned were real people with feelings), while josie and hope were in a proper alternative reality - even tho i personally would love it) finds someone else who also is not toxic in the way many relationships (both straight and not) are in tv shows. so my point is that exploitation of this kind of subjects happens and happens a lot in the media we consume, however in my opinion legacies is one of the good ones, as they say. speaking of bonnie, yes. i hated her absence tbh and i just,,, hate it about caroline in the musical itself, she was showed not really well in my opinion (she had to face a lot more than what they showed, and she became more than the insicure frenemy of elena), however i think it was a good way of summarizing lizzie. i think she always wanted to be more caroline-y because she sees her kinda as a hero so she auditioned to be her in the musical and i think the writers focused only on the part of caroline that were reflecting what liz was going through in that moment, just like they did with josie and hope. sadly i think this is a big reason for which they did not care to show bonnie or to have someone play bonnie. since i just wrote about almost everyone, about landon i would say that yes they’re cute and they’re important to each other and so on but i do think they need to grow as individuals instead of facing everything as a couple. both have a ton of things from their past and in general psychological stuff they need to face, especially hope and her hero-possessive complex and landon his kinda lack of individuality, so yeah, they should be not together but not in an unfriendly or angering way, and if in the future they will find themselves again, well, they will be together. i think the plot has to go on. i think hope’s arc needs to be of the discovery of herself, of what she can do (supernaturally speaking) and who she is, what her past left her and also who she can be with other people (..hosie!)
I feel like if you haven't watched The Originals, you don't have a good concept or deep understanding of certain aspects of Legacies. Cause Klaus (tried and sometimes failed but tried nonetheless) was a good father. He and the rest of the Mikaelson family were so loyal to Hope. EVEN KOL... I MEAN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT KOL WHO DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE EXCEPT FOR HIMSELF AND DAVINA. Plus, The Originals had quite a few LGBTQ+ relationships that were sustainable on the show, and loved by fans. You just missed them because you didn't watch. Your point a 12:55. I think that the lines that Lizzie is saying were supposed to Josie's as Elena, but Josie was hurt and Hope hadn't joined the show yet. I think that's why those lines are the way they are. Cause if you remember, in the TVD series finale, Elena wrote in her diary that. Stefan changed her life and started the path to who she ended up becoming.
I loved the episode. I thought it was great that they made fun of themselves. We can assume the musical included more stuff. They only presented the songs that were relevant to Legacies, plus some extra funny ones. As much as this was TVD story, the songs were about the current Legacies characters. The brothers being at odds then mended their relationship being played by the Werewolf alpha and the lead Vampire. Elena’s song was about change, just like Josie has changed. Liszt sang about never being good enough to saying she’ll be ok. Not to mention that wonderful motif of “I’m just ok” to “I’ll be ok”. At this moment in the story, no main character can be compared to Bonnie, and they probably thought that bringing some random person to play her wouldn’t be well accepted. It sucks that they glossed over her by having Landon just mention her, but it was a choice between two bad choices IMO.
Thejuliwithani me I crying in the song I'll be OK" Part 2 and in the Hope song Always and Forever.because First I'll be OK" Part 2 is how much Caroline love Stefan and in second Always and Forever is literally the letter who Klaus wrote to Hope and this is so very very very very beautiful and emotional 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
About that LGBTQ+ representation that you didn't watch the originals. the eldest mikelson sister freya and keelin were a couple they got married amd after klaus'dead they named their son nick like Nicklaus.
Kinda lost me at seasons 6 being one of the best seasons. Like it was better 4,5,7 and 8. But the first 3 remain the best. Elena is awful. Just less in the first 3 seasons. Katherine will always be great. Every Mikaelson sibling that isn’t Fin is great. Bonnie is one of the most wronged characters on television history. Still a queen. TVD got so damn stupid. There is good stupid, then there is 7 and 8. Btw Qesiyah was fantastic. Loved that psycho.
TVD would literally not exist without Bonnie, this is so frustrating
10:58 I want to point out that Landon was under the mind control of Puck, just like everybody else, if Puck wanted that scene in the musical, because he thought it would help Hope, it was going to be in the musical.

I just LOVED getting 2 songs about DELENA and listening to Candice’s voice as Caroline again❤️
Same love having my endgame confirmed again and again :p also yes I missed Caroline so much!
THIS IS ICONIC! I didn’t watch this either until now, and I agree they did bonnie so dirty
Omg right?!! She did so much on the TVD show
They did Ian said he would quit if Kat was kicked off the show
I ship Hope and Lizzie. Especially in season 4. So many scenes where they could have actually ended up together but didn't.
Why?! They don't have any romantic connection. Not even a vibe. Now Hope and Josie, vibe all over the place.
I loved this video!! you are so kind, and I loved the intro where you prefaced the actresses being lovely people.
Aw thank you :)
The way Kaleb moved so she could see Landon

ALSO! I had to comment again, your point about LGBTQA+ representation in TVDU is SO important. YES YES YES>
How do you feel about Josie's new love interest?
Now I am just imagining in the last episode Caroline just finds Katherine plotting to destroy the town and unleash hell, pulls her aside and just starts singing to Katherine a thank you, how she will be ok, and how much better she is because of Katherine.
... I mean Freya has a wife and ben and Jed are cannon and I feel in the last season hizzie is endgame
There was freya and keelin as a long term couple together.
Oops! Forgot to mention, I haven't watched the Originals but I've heard of them as a couple
@@thejuliwithani you should watch it! It’s awesome.
@@thejuliwithani that's something else you should react to!

The Damon song is emphasizing how stupid and selfish Elena is. The song sounds dumb on purpose.

That kiss between Josie and jade weirded me out so much. She literally said she use to babysit her😭. Y’all don’t find that weird?
