Thanks for sharing your survival tip for starting a fire, guys! Sure to come in handy one day! Great video! Always keep the bloopers in! Congrats to doom1k
Great video brother. I didn't know you had a channel, subbed now. Congrats doom1k 2k is on the way baby! Good luck everyone and thanks to all involved for the chance.
OTIP! You’re out of the house!!! Yay!! May your health continue to improve sir. I do love a good fire. Thanks for the new method. My personal favorite fire is the downward burning log cabin where you do all the work up front and then just chill for the rest of the night. Cheers to doom 1k finally. I hope he continues to grow. Later OTIP!
Congrats on 500 subs Douglass and congrats to doom1k I always have stainless or galvanized wire on ne when I go into the wild such handy stuff for multiple situations. Swedish torches are fun and great for camping as well if you have limited firewood. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
thank you. I agree, I have used Swedish fire logs a thousand times. they do great for setting the pan right on top to cook, then keeping the chill off the rest of the evening.
thank you for watching. some of my best childhood memories are learning these skills from my dad and grandpa. now I am sharing with my son, and all of youns
I really appreciate you sharing and passing along techniques and skills that at one time was common and every child had the knowledge to not only survive but thrive on mother earth but sadly it's not so common at all anymore so really thank you and congrats to B.O.D doom1k
Way to show that baton who's boss! Wholeheartedly agreed that silly happens and it's those unplannad moments where preparation really shines. Shout out to doom 1k #doom1k as well. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Thanks for the information OTIP. I like your shamagh. The trees are beautiful around there. doom1k doom 1k for OTIP, if he is ineligible/declines please default to Crispy.
thank you. the redwoods are the very best part of where we live. I hope to be able to get down to the bigger groves this summer. I will HAVE to have my chair for that though.
Thank you for the survival tips, OTIP. I’m sure to avoid the #doom1k of freezing to death , or DOOM1K of being eaten by wolves, or the doom1k of being afraid of the dark , unless I’m seeking it out. Hopefully I don't have to start a fire in steel infused concrete. Thank you for your service.
Holy crap and oh my word. I love this method of building a fire. If planned, I always have a hatchet; if not, a sturdy fixed blade. Oh, and OTIP bipedal? That made my day. Great details like which part of the system is in motion during striking. DOOM is a pretty amazing human being for sure. The paper was visually washed out on screen, so doom 1K, doom1K, doom 1k, and doom1k, just for bases-covering. Thanks, OTIP and Jack! I'm going to go outside now...
thank you for watching. if I have my walker, I am good for 25-30 yards, so I try to do some walking every day. this is why I fall so much, but I have to keep trying. I am surprised the page was washed out, it was sharpie on white. live and learn.
Good video! Had me nervous leaning in with the beard. Lol Made me think how many little experiences we could record for sharing with future generations to try and pass on those little things we forget to pass down. Keep sharing! Love DSKFS. doom1k
thank you for watching. I was pretty careful to keep the beard out of the fire... but well, mistakes do happen. that is why I always have my first aid kits on the chair.. wait... wasn't in the chair ;P
@@OtherThanIntendedPurpose you definitely did man! I’m putting together a emergency bag tomorrow and I’m adding both wire and a multi tool to it now that you showed me the Swedish log. It’s Extremely simple and effective. Thanks man!
Congratulations beard of doom on the 1k 💯✊✊✊doom1k just seen the livestream last night while hunting for something to watch lol. Cheers to many more milestones ahead my brother, well deserved Mr. Doomed destroyer of toilets 👊😎keep on keepn on and look forward to more livestreams and content🤟

#BEUP saw 👀 ChooChoo along for the ride right away. This is great info and demonstration. Appreciate the knowledge very much my man. doom 1k for the win 🏆 👍
Finally! Someone that uses a ferro rod the correct way! Good informative video. I really wish more people did these "how to" videos. I really enjoy them. You're so right about the larger logs being easier to make Swedish logs. Tell Modi, Pepper says hi. Congratulations to The Beard of DOOM on 1k! doom1k
thank you for watching. I had wanted to use a full size log, but with the restrictions in that park, we did the best we could. I agree, it drives me wild when I see people smack their fire lay all over because they strike the scraper, instead of pulling the rod.. uh, that sounds so wrong ;P
I'd never seen a fire built like that. Haven't looked too much into bushcraft and all that but thanks for the video And congrats to doom on the 1k subs doom1k 🍻🤙
Great video otip good lnfo your a funny man and to doom congratulations man love your channel and content thanks for the giveaway and doom1k you rock 🤩

thank you. yes, it does. and I do not edit out the flubs, because real people, even people with decades of experience will fumble sometimes. and cold hands, tired minds, and old bodies make it a lot more likely.
Thanks, OTIP, for demonstrating the Swedish Log concept for starting unplanned fires as a survival skill. The items you listed should be in everyone's go back for the car/truck. Congrats to your buddy doom1k for his milestone as well.

the three options I would recommend, that I have used, abused and had no regrets on are the Tops Brothers of Bushcraft , Esee 5 ( I really miss my 5, it was stolen with a pack several years ago) and the Ka Bar/BK 7. if you have smaller hands than I do, the Tops Brakimo is also a great option, but it is a bit small in my hand
