- Got a turbo smart recirc fitted. The diffrence is completely diffrent to the last recirc valve. No more vac leaks and boost kicks in really quick. Btw I'm running a vxr turbo on a gsi. bad recirc got stuck closed.

It's not a Astra. It's a zaf gsi. My astra is still a W.I.P.

Flutter is not good. Its forcing the properly to forcefully turn backwards hence y u get the flutter. Blank it of and get a bov much better fir the turbo and keeps the temps dwn

It was a turbo smart recirc. Boost was at 15 psi. Now I am running a recirc blank

I am looking to buy an opel astra 2.0 turbo 2009 and that turbo sound is crazy!!
The recirc valve was stuck closed. So if u want this noise u need a blank much cheaper.
What makes this flutter noise? Vac pipe off? Knackered recirc valve? Mine does it and I hate it lol
something is causing the recirc to be fully closed. might be a vac line.
This noise is a recirculation valve that isn't allowing the excess boost pressure to escape through a vacuum line 'hence the blanked of recirculation valve' basically the turbo produces the boost pressure and theres no where for excess to escape. When of boost the excess boost pressure is been forced back in to the cold end of the turbine housing and hitting the turbo blades in a negative way and that's the noise you hear. If you have a cheap recirculation valve or broken one then this will cause the problem or check your pipe work as you might even have them mixed up
Hello I have the same sound on my z20leh turbo with 2 Turbosmart internal (turbosmart by Courtenay)
It seems to be compressor surge and some people says it's not good for turbo.
Have you tried other DV?
Did you think it's normal in this case?

Some turbosmart recircs stuck close. I have blanked off my recirc now got passed off with recirc valves. Compressor surge don't harm the turbo below a certain psi. Like 35 plus or something.
I should be unlucky 2 news Turbosmart don't works.
May be forge could be a better value
Krs has said to blank of my recric valve as car don’t need it and won’t hurt turbo, does your pick up well in gear changes? Thanks. Unsure to try it on mine
I think its best to blank of recirculation valve and get an atmospheric forged bov its also helps to keep the temps dwn as its releasing hot air were as the recirculation valve just recirculates hot air
What recirc valve is this and is this on the pipe that goes to the top hat?
Its a turbosmart recirc. But it was faulty took it off after 2 weeks. A recirc valve is on the cold side of the turbo

Yeah it's a k04. But I have a krs core.

Hello, are you now running a recric valve? I spoke with krs and he said he has not run a recric in he’s car for about 2 and no point having one. I did have a dump valve and blocked recric but couldn’t make mind up as felt like slower making boost. Only standard car with a stage1 hybrid vxr turbo.
What recirculate valve you using bud
Was a turbo smart actuator but then I found out it was stuck closed. So if u want this noise just blank the recirculation valve off

Which dv is this?
Nothing. The dv was faulty and stuck closed. But it was a turbo smart recirc valve. Z20let dont like dv due to the maf sensor.
Mr Hades was it fluttering beacause of stuck recirc it what it fluttering after replacing ?
Am I right that the video was with a faulty valve as my Corsa vxr does the same noise and over revs
