The young lady showing you guys around was friendly, decent and respectful. That's always a good sign. Congratulations. May God keep blessing your family.
Congratulations on whatever y’all decide to do. But I feel like it’s best to stay in your current place and get more stable. Low income housing definitely gives you the ability to have some comfort in hard times.
I would wait for a two bedroom renovated in the price range you want because by the time you get settled in, your baby will be ready for his big boy room. I'm excited to see what you get. Super excited for you guys.
If you have section 8 find a nice place that affordable and keep your section 8 it’s nothing wrong with that. I am saying this so you can be truly financially stable
Right, and you can get a 3 bedroom. There is nothing wrong with the extra room. Maybe an office. But I agree, wait. I know how it's feels to be excited, and to throw away section 8, wait, it's hard for some to get a section 8 voucher.
He NOT on SECTION 8 y’all really skipped that video he on LOW INCOME based on how much he makes he clearly said it’s two different things he living on based his income he famous NOW and someone probably already told him something in the office you can stay there if you want to but you can pay regular rent he smart he looking at if he pay 1,200 for that he better off getting something way nicer even thought nothing is wrong where he living at just probably a bad area that’s it for him and I also could be wrong
These are the videos i like to see. Congratulations on your success and endeavors of greatness may God continue to bless and protect you and any young brother no matter the color trying to better themselves for them and their loved ones. You guys deserve
Ok...Questions I have. 1. Are you currently in Section 8 or Low Based Income? From my understanding Section 8 is off Vouchers and you choose where you want to live, just as long as it is accepted by the landlord. Low Income based, from what you shared...is based off of your income and is adjusted whenever your income is adjusted due to job loss or pay raises, which you have to report. 2. Why would you move EVERY year? (That's confusing) 3. What's wrong with where you are? Did you not say in one of your videos (which is how I found your channel), that the current place you're in, maintenance response is fast. It's a clean and safe area? 4. Are you wanting to move ONLY because it's government assistance? I personally don't know how it feels, as you expressed to live on government assistance. So with that I have one last question. 5. Do you feel less than, because you are living in a government assisted living place? Your current apartment on the outside building and surroundings as well as the inside of your apartment looks nice (from what you shared).
That's right Dontay take your time be smart I totally agree I wasn't to happy with the first two apartments you want to be comfortable and still able to get want you want under $2000 love y'all continue blessings ❣️
You've got the right train of thought. You spoke exactly what I was thinking while you were touring the apartment. It definitely needs to be an upgrade if you're going to move into it. Good to hear you say "amenities"!
Your low income apartment is just as nice as this apartment I would keep searching is there a house somewhere that is nice and affordable but congratulations to you both I hope you guys the best 💞🙏
The only difference between this place and the current place you live is you are on section 8 other than that section 8 is wayyyyy better than this. You don't have to live above your means to impress youtube. You doing big things without the glitter. Keep pushing forward save, Invest and be smart...type type 😂
Brother, as someone also from around your parts in Michigan (more downriver) I can't be more proud of you and happy for your success. We're very different but I grew up in a similar environment and I appreciate your willingness to be open and vulnerable. Good luck to you and yours in the future. I hope it's nothing but wonder and joy from here on out.
I get super excited seeing the adventures of other people’s journey because I know my blessings are on its way. Anyone who has doubts just look how far you came and count your blessings and be grateful. This man well deserves what he’s getting and YOURS IS ON ITS WAY…be happy for him 💯💯🙌 GOD ISNT SLEEP TRUST AND BELIEVE THAT

I didn’t see the difference either. I Was glad y’all realised that too. Rent in Fl is way higher. Ppl renting rooms for $1,000 a studio for $1600. I wish we can find a luxury apartment for $1500.
I personally think the place you're in now looks better than the 2 bd 1 bath you looked at. If you're gonna move, get what you really want. A house would be great for you guys. So, I'd keep looking. I'm sure you can find something nicer. I support you guys in whatever you decide on.
I agree with you; get what you want. Those amenities are very important. Also, the upgrades are nice. Otherwise, keep saving your money, and stay where you are for now. Congratulations, and keep dreaming big! You are a smart young man, and l know you will accomplish your goals. 😊
For those prices it’s better if y’all can look into buying a home. If you’re looking to rent first I would definitely recommend getting something with a washer and dryer in the unit
You have a nice apartment, for a good price, even at market rate...Plus if you lose your income, you won't have huge bills to pay. You have a safety net. Use it to your advantage... Keep grinding, invest, and save for a house.
If you plan to use you tube to pay for your new apartment, you should be able to pay your rent up for at least one year. You tube money may fluctuate, be wise dontay
Exactly and ask questions, please don't assume. That is what i would do and they have to give them time, they just can't put them out, even if they have to move because of income. Like be sure if it's an continuous, stable income. Money come and goes so fast.
It’s great seeing you finally gaining the traction you’ve worked so hard for. Moving is very expensive. I personally would it move every year. I would continue to live where I am at least until the middle of this year. Give yourselves some time to see how things will fluctuate. It’s not easy out here and while I understand you wanna stretch, don’t do too much too soon. You just got into a car loan. See how well you’ll manage your current bills with adding an additional increase in monthly debt. You’re doing well. Keep up the momentum 🤗
The place you currently stay at is better than the place you just toured. If you're going to move it should be an upgrade, but your current apartment is on the same level as the toured spot.
I agree with you. And why would they consider a 1 bedroom? I don't think that it's fair to their son. Because it looks nice? He's not old enough to really care, but still.
Not worth the money. Stay in section 8 until you can’t any longer and stack the RUclips money. Also, earn a high interest earning savings account and put most of your money in there. If you have debt, work on paying that down to be as debt free as possible. Use the benefits you have now to create a life you want later. You’ll have a much better account balance and be able to truly pick what you want and deserve.
Don't get over extended..stack cash! U want to have 3x your rent so in case of any emergency health, vehicle etc u wouldn't be hurt by circumstances. Check out the envelope budgeting online. Good luck.
I agree don’t rush to move stay until your lease expires and continue saving you money this way there want be any worries. You will want to make sure job is secured simply saying don’t rush you want out ways your budget take your time at first stay where you are
Also for those video. I think the first one is good. But yo should look for a townhouse. 2 bedroom townhomes that have a garage attached. Those are pretty good. I been looking and about to move into one as well.
Your channels is going to keep going bra I can tell .don’t let these ppl tell you how to live ya life! Do what makes you happy and enjoy never second! just be smart about it and keep grinding 💯
I would write down your necessities like your priorities & then do some investigating to see what the buildings have to offer over the phone & computer first. I saved a lot of time & gas that way🎉Good luck guys
I am in my late 30’s, I have been trying to get my own place since my early 20’s, they doing too much just to get your own place, and I live in Delaware, how all these young people there own place with no problem, they talking based on your credit, it does not matter how much money you have, they look at your credit, I have a couple of friends that lives in Philly, they comes down here to Wilmington, De, and they be saying to me Donte there is more homeless people right here in Wilmington, DE, then Philly

HE NOT on SECTION 8 y’all clearly skipped that video 💀🤦♀️ he living on low income based on how much he makes for income because he was losing jobs right to left so that’s why he was on LOW income and they probably already know he making some serious money someone probably on this channel see it he viral once you become famous you not gone get away with nothing somebody always know somebody it’s facts even if he try it will fail
Perhaps consider waiting, and saving more. Things are constantly changing, and you would wanna make sure you have a good cushion of savings, at least 6 to 8 mths worth just in case. And plus the apartment that y’all are living in now is really nice, and spacious. There’s enough room for Leo, you, and Hannah. You also just committed to the new truck. So make sure your expenses don’t outweigh your income. You said that your not being ask to move out of the low income unit, right? So just stay another 6 to 8mths, then see where y’all are financially then. And who knows, you wait, y’all could save up enough for a home. Maybe even think about purchasing land, they even have manufactured homes too. That way your money will go towards something that’s you own. Just don’t be anxious ~Philippians 4:6-7 Y’all pray and seek God about your next move, and ask God for clarity. Also write down what’s important, like a back yard for Leo, or a place with a park in walking distance for example which can narrow your search a bit. May God continue to Provide, Bless, and Guide y’all in all things! Much Love!❤❤❤
Get with NACA program they go by your credit profile not credit score and their interest rate is lower than the narional rate you can get a condo townhome etc i would stay put and save and go thru that program
Dontay I'm reading comments and I came across one that just about shared everything I shared in a video I uploaded yesterday addressed to you, new and small youtubers. AND another comment gave excellent advise. If you're creating these videos to upload on your channel for view count and your algorithm numbers to stay high, why not consider doing deep research and share the difference between Low Income based vs Section 8 (I know you shared a little about it), which is how I found your channel. Research the pros/cons of Renting vs Purchasing Condos / Townhomes. Renting vs Purchasing a House. Research First Time Homebuyers info and share that in a video sbout what you learned. These types of videos make great content AND will bring those individuals who may have a great deal of sound wisdom of experience and answers in your comment section of the videos to help others, ESPECIALLY for young couples such as yourself. TAKE YOUR TIME!!!. You both are young and have years ahead of you. When it is given Listen to Wisdom, not impulsive emotional responses...IF you Truly want what's best for your lives.
That’s a great idea! Teaching others the process of renting and also about section 8 especially when you are in the process of transition you Already have video footage and experience you are going through plus when it’s time to buy a home then that could be another content the difference between renting and buying. Love watching your family growth keep going and don’t give up
@@phyllisjrcrestorationdecordesi yea same I think Dontay is cool but he makes it hard for some people to like him because of his awful decisions like rushing into things based on emotions/impulse. Like immediately buying that truck was completely unnecessary since there's so many more affordable vehicles he could've gotten but he chose the one that eats up gas the most lmao. Rushing/ was planning into getting married only being with Hanna for 4 months is crazy work and probably another baby otw. Then him rushing to move out of low income housing like he actually and absolutely needs to move out right now without actually researching better options like the examples you've mentioned. The apartments they viewed so far look way too similar to the current one he lives at now it's not even worth it even if it comes with a gym or a pool which most residents don't even take advantage of anyway smdh not trying to talk low towards them but they're lazy and a bunch of liars talm some having a full time job lmao Dontay literary just got a job at a dealership and immediately announces it out in public and expect us to believe him and Hannah work a job?
I don’t know the full situation, but since your channel is gaining momentum, I'd strongly suggest focusing on building a solid safety net -- at least 6 months to a year of savings that covers your rent, food, travel, and other essential expenses -- before moving. I get wanting to move to prove to yourself you can get out of low income housing, but at the end of the day, there's nothing really to "prove" to anyone, not even yourself. You've already proven you can struggle through the hard times. As you know, the struggle continues -- it just looks a little different when money starts coming in. And right now, it's about positioning yourself for long-term success so that when you make your move, you do it from a place of security, not stress. That's real success.
I think you should stay at your section 8 apartment. You can if moving to fast and showing off. You could stay at your apartment and stock up because you never know things can shift suddently. And you should be saving up a lot of money. You dont look like you take time to think...always uploading videos for the world to see you need to filter.
Y’all should check out some 2 bedroom houses. I stayed in apartments most of my life then moved into my first house and on the bill side it’s the same. The only difference is you pay for water and trash but those are not expensive at all. My water range from 20-50 a month and trash about 15-25
Homebuyer Programs: NACA, Habitat for Humanity, FHA. Also there have to be homebuyers workshops that service your community. I learned a lot in Florida, moved to New Mexico and bought a home. All my paperwork was in order. They cleared me faster than they ever had cleared anyone to close because I took my time and learned what it required and every class I went to prepared me for my moment. My family and friends call my home a mini-Spanish mansion. I went from homeless to homeowner. I had section 8, let the voucher go, low income, went up to market rate and then bought my home. The money that you have is more than enough for a down payment for an FHA loan, or payment shock for NACA, and if your credit is good Habitat is also good. I went with VA but I explored all of the options before I went with it.
So excited for you guys! Follow Dave Ramseys Baby Steps and you will be set for life :) I lived in the projects with my Mom and there is nothing like getting out and keep moving up! Together you guys can accomplish anything!
Stay where you are at for now. Wait a year. With they money you will be saving pay down the truck and get Hannah a nice small car. Try to make good on the salesman job. Planet Fitness is $15-25 month.
Absolutely go the NACA route I purchased my home 27 years ago through the program. Save your money and don't rush you never know what you will find by the end of the year. A home with a yard for your son for Christmas would be a blessing for all of you.
Dontay & Hanna Just my opinion those apartments I’m not feeling. It still feels boxie, no openess. I think the luxury apartments would be better, the max $1,500. Yes, it did give the same vibes of your current apartment. But, also if you’re going to pay that much I would consider a house. Ranch or Bungalow! God Bless 🙏🏽💞
I kkow ppl are ssying buy a hone. DO NOT DO IT! Buyimg a home comes with alot of work and responsibility. Just chill in a apartment and take your time work on your relationship. Also mamy apartments offer discounts if you work for companies on their list. ❤
regardless if it comes with a lot of work it's having the knowledge in knowing the right people and the proper house that you're gonna get into with the proper steps to take instead of living off of somebody and making them rich they have something to call their own if he wanted to build a swimming pool in his backyard all he has to do is hire some guys that have permits to do it and he could build his own swimming pool there's a lot of opportunities there's a lot of ways but having the knowledge is the key and there are people out there that would help him not living in fear because owning your own home is gonna come with responsibilities
I know you’re ready but SLOW DOWN!! Learn from the truck incident. Yall should stay where you are & stack! That way you’ll have a better gage on how RUclips will play out. CHILL PLEASE LISTEN! Your place is cute just relax, pray to God, & he’ll lead the way but u can’t rush him. ❤
@ he just explained he didn’t quite understand interest rates & financing when he bought it. Due to bad credit the interest rate is sky high so by the end of the loan he’ll be then paid double for the truck. He was considering bankruptcy or a voluntary repossession because he went back to dealership the following day & they refused to let him out the contract.
@Soopaflhi1 right because he's not thinking about the what if backup plan RUclips is not a guaranteed funds one month you can make good next month may not enough to cover the lifestyle ijs
I hope you guys find what your looking for. The money your going to pay for Rent if you move, could go towards a deposit for your 1st home. Stay with what you have for now, and build up your finances. What you guys need is stability and a foundation in which you can build on for the future. All the best guys🤗
Dontay and Hannah check out other places to make sure you get the amenities that you really want. And maybe check out houses or condos for rent they will offer more space than an apartment.
Why don’t you just stay at the place you at for a year and then move instead of moving twice? I think you should just stay where you at until the money is correct tho unless your term is up.
Hey I think y’all give yourself more time where you are now that way you can go for what y’all really want. Wish y’all well in what ever decision you make.🙏🏽
Hey Hannah and Dontay!!!! These apartments are nice, but just make sure it's what you want. I'm sure there is more places out there that has what you're looking for. Keep looking...🙏🙏🙏🙏🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
That first apartment isn’t a luxury apartment I don’t understand how they get away with saying these are luxury your current place is much better maybe this is a better area 🤔 I’m sure you will find what you’re looking for, they throw a stainless steel fridge in apartment rent is higher l ,luxury is patio dishwasher, recreation room, laundry central air bath in half huge closets I’m just kinda giving you an idea praying you and your fiancé find what you’re looking for that’s worth the price 🙏🏼
Stay where you are until you ready to buy a home but slow moves you to geek up to buy get used to paying a truck note and insurance then prepare for next move🤔🙏🏿
Washer & dryer inside the unit is important. Ain't no luxury unit if you have to go elsewhere to do laundry.
Why don’t you call NACA for 1st time homebuyers and sit in on their sessions. Don’t rush into renting a new place. Work towards a home.
👍
I totally agree
He’s anxious to get out the projects, house shopping that’s forever.

Go get out of section 8 me and my fiancé got out 3 years ago best move we made you can't grow with section 8 congratulations on y'all success
Smart man
HE NOT on SECTION 8 y’all clearly skipped that video 💀🤦♀️ he living on low income based on how much he makes for income because he was losing jobs right to left so that’s why he was on LOW income and they probably already know he making some serious money someone probably on this channel see it he viral once you become famous you not gone get away with nothing somebody always know somebody it’s facts even if he try it will fail
Just don’t be anxious ~Philippians 4:6-7
Y’all pray and seek God about your next move, and ask God for clarity.
Also write down what’s important, like a back yard for Leo, or a place with a park in walking distance for example which can narrow your search a bit.
May God continue to Provide, Bless, and Guide y’all in all things! Much Love!❤❤❤
Go with what you want. Don’t settle
Get with NACA program they go by your credit profile not credit score and their interest rate is lower than the narional rate you can get a condo townhome etc i would stay put and save and go thru that program
Hey beautiful couple👫🏾 stay where you are save money 🤑
until you can rent a condo or rent a house preferably rent to own😊
Dontay I'm reading comments and I came across one that just about shared everything I shared in a video I uploaded yesterday addressed to you, new and small youtubers.
Good advice!
@@sinigangpapi3379Thank you. I'm REALLY praying they make careful decisions and not emotional impulsive ones.
Save your money and get what you really want so you won't have to keep moving!
Low income is important remember it alright Dontay London
Neither one of those apartments looked “luxurious aka luxury”to me or worth 1 or 2,000+ dollars
I believe they do...they are dirt cheap for tons of space
Save up invest in buying your own property. Stop paying rent period.
I’ll definitely continue to support your Channel , rooting for yall!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love it, blessed blessings 🙏🏾❤️
Its an amazing video 👏 dontay London
Buy a house and get a 15 year fixed rate mortgage. Make a payment every other week. Renting is dumb.
And you is right
That’s so expensive, I would stay cheap till you find a house
Don't like it get what you want Don't settle ❤
I would definitely be careful in this economy. The cost of living remains to be seen what happens. I would stay and save.
Whatever you choose make sure it accommodates you both and a very good area you guys got this something. Will come up and you’ll both love it
Y’all are doing a great job. I can’t wait till my channel blows up.
🎉 same, 🤞🏽I hope mine does soon

Y’all should check out some 2 bedroom houses. I stayed in apartments most of my life then moved into my first house and on the bill side it’s the same. The only difference is you pay for water and trash but those are not expensive at all. My water range from 20-50 a month and trash about 15-25
Homebuyer Programs:
NACA, Habitat for Humanity, FHA.
LET'S GO YOU GOT THIS DONTAY CONGRATS MAN KEEP ON LIVING THAT GREAT DREAM,
So excited for you guys!
Wisdom🔥
Absolutely go the NACA route I purchased my home 27 years ago through the program. Save your money and don't rush you never know what you will find by the end of the year. A home with a yard for your son for Christmas would be a blessing for all of you.
Dontay & Hanna
Just my opinion those apartments I’m not feeling. It still feels boxie, no openess. I think the luxury apartments would be better, the max $1,500.
Yes, it did give the same vibes of your current apartment. But, also if you’re going to pay that much I would consider a house. Ranch or Bungalow!
God Bless 🙏🏽💞
I heavily mess with you and ya girl relationship props to yall my g and congrats!
I kkow ppl are ssying buy a hone. DO NOT DO IT! Buyimg a home comes with alot of work and responsibility. Just chill in a apartment and take your time work on your relationship. Also mamy apartments offer discounts if you work for companies on their list. ❤
I purchased my home 3 years ago i regret it so my unexpected repairs very stressful
regardless if it comes with a lot of work it's having the knowledge in knowing the right people and the proper house that you're gonna get into with the proper steps to take instead of living off of somebody and making them rich they have something to call their own if he wanted to build a swimming pool in his backyard all he has to do is hire some guys that have permits to do it and he could build his own swimming pool there's a lot of opportunities there's a lot of ways but having the knowledge is the key and there are people out there that would help him not living in fear because owning your own home is gonna come with responsibilities
Yes! Even a lot of rich people still rent!
The apartment agent was so laid back and on it! Kudos to her 💯💯💯
IN THE LONDON FAMILY ❤.. We Trust ⭐ 💯 🎉🎉🎉
Wait what happened to his truck 😮
@ he just explained he didn’t quite understand interest rates & financing when he bought it. Due to bad credit the interest rate is sky high so by the end of the loan he’ll be then paid double for the truck. He was considering bankruptcy or a voluntary repossession because he went back to dealership the following day & they refused to let him out the contract.
@Soopaflhi1 oh my this guy just never listen
@@ramadakleckley4290 well hopefully he’ll listen & not move yet. 🙏🏾
@Soopaflhi1 right because he's not thinking about the what if backup plan RUclips is not a guaranteed funds one month you can make good next month may not enough to cover the lifestyle ijs
Don't move there. You may as well stay where you are until you find something you really like.
I don’t blame you get somewhere that’s more upgraded, buy or rent a house
Wish y’all well in what ever decision you make.🙏🏽
Take your time unless you have a urgency to move out take your time
Hey Hannah and Dontay!!!! These apartments are nice, but just make sure it's what you want. I'm sure there is more places out there that has what you're looking for. Keep looking...🙏🙏🙏🙏🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
Your old apt look better
I ain’t gonna lie I think y’all deserve a house
Nice places you viewed.
Congratulations brother 🎉❤
