    Zen gardens are definitely a piece of heaven. This is exactly how I imagine paradise to be.

    素晴らしい庭園だ。ドイツ人にこんな日本の庭園を理解かつ愛されてるのには親近感を感じる。いい物はどこの国でも理解されるんだと思った。

    A lot of people say that the most beautiful japanese garden outside japan is in Portland, but actually this one is a thousand times more authentic and more beautiful.
    If it wasn't written in the description that this was in Germany i would have never believed it was outside Japan. Even the kind of birds we hear are the same we hear in Japan.
    This garden is an absolute masterpiece. Nothing is overdone, everything is in the right place, everything is genuine, it is a gem !
    I live in Japan 20 seconds away from a 700 years old Zen Monastery and it is almost the same feel as this garden on the video.
    The only difference are the trees. Here there are three 250 years old Cherry tree, a 400 years old plum tree which blooms in 2 colours half red half white and 600 years old pine tree.

    How do all these plants especially Japanese ones survive after winter? please reply

    • @CarlaAmorimMyJapaneseGarden
      @CarlaAmorimMyJapaneseGarden  6 лет назад

      Nachiketa Pandya most Japanese plants set in this garden are rusting until -15 / -20 oC because in Japan there is also eavy snow in winter in some regions. Best regards.

    It needs moving water

      There is a tsukubai, Japanese fountain, near the lantern

      Zen gardens rarely have rivers or streams because it is a symbolic garden. They usually have water in the form of a basin called Tsukubai or Mizubachi but the sound of a stream would be distracting when meditating so Zen Garden are usually created to be quiet and contemplative.
      I live in japan near to a 700 years old Zen monastery, and i mean right next to it, just 20 seconds away from my house and i don't hear a thing, it is quiet all the time except when the monks bang the little piece of wood or the temple bell, a few times a day. Other than that, even when you walk through it, it is unbelievably silent, although there are more than 50 guys living in it.
