Kripp punished a Mage who kept going face; and then got rekt by another Mage with a Frost Bolt, 3 Fireballs, 3 Flamestrikes, a Flame Lance, a Fireland Portal, a Polymorph, 2 Arcane Missiles, 2 Flamecannons. You're welcome.
You monster, I was still watching =(
Firelands Portal OTKs:
1. Cabalist's Tome gets you 3 Firelands Portals.
2. Double Unstable Portal into 2 Masters of Disguise.
3. Thaurissan into 2x Master of Disguise for 3 mana reduction.
4. Firelands Portal face 3 times - you get 3 Leeroys for a 33 damage OTK!
Or, if you're facing a Control Warrior...
1. Cabalist's Tome into a Cabalist's Tome and 2 Unstable Portals, then get 3 Unstable Portals from the second Tome.
2. You get 7 Prophet Velens (from the 5 Portals from the Tomes and the 2 in your deck).
3. Emperor Thaurissan into Duplicate and a Stealth spare part.
4. Draw a Firelands Portal (gets 3 mana reduction).
4. Play the two other Emperors on consecutive turns for 4 mana reduction in total.
5.5. Draw another Firelands Portal while you're at it (gets 2 mana reduction).
6. 7x Velen into double Firelands Portal into double Leeroy for a 1292 total damage OTK!
Still, if you're STILL not past that damned armour, then:
1. Summoning Stone into 1-cost spell into Babbling Book. You return it to hand.
2. Babbling Book gets you a Cabalist's Tome. You get an Unstable Portal and a Firelands Portal from it (the other card isn't important).
3. Play Thaurissan.
4. Unstable Portal into Spellslinger. You get an Ancestor's Call.
5. Your opponent plays the Thoughtsteal Spellslinger gave them and gets your Majordomo.
6. You play Ancestor's Call, your opponent pulls out the Majordomo, you BGH your opponent's Majordomo, then Firelands Portal into Leeroy/Doomguard for an infinite damage OTK!
And people say Kripperinos don't put effort into their comments...
You can't rely a otk on emperor thaurisan though so that doesn't count

The real frustration is those priests with their crazy 2 mana silence AND draw a card!
I know! The worst part is they can't silence your minions, what a scam!

the real frustration is that kripp cant think of better content than mage arena frustration every other day. (may be a slight exaggeration but still it seems he's making so many videos on this subject) i mean, we get it, its annoying. love you kripp but plz try to find more subject matter

Whats bad is that you managed to lose 2 games with that deck. That is just sad. That is the easiest 12-0 deck I have ever seen.

You're forgetting the arcane missiles and flame lances. It's not like you play those for face removal.

i just listed the reliable removal, used in the second clip so more or equal than 2mana. aracane missles isnt really reliable

Think of it in this way. if out of 10 people, all of them play well, then the wins will be divided and thus the rate will be decreased. But if fewer players play well, then those will dominate the rest and thus have a win ratio higher than the others'. The quality of the top is judged based on the lower ones. If they're weak, it's logical to have a higher win rate. So in fact those statistics prove the exact opposite. Holy shit that mage deck was nuts. 3 flame strikes, 3 fireballs, firelands, flame lance, frost bolt, 3 arcane missiles, polymorph all in the top of his deck. HOW?! I'm lucky when I play mage to get like 1 flame strike and a fireball.

Because he probably didn't. At this point, the match making system doesn't differentiate between 9-0 or 9-2 or 10-2. Once I played the same guy 3 times in a row at 10+ wins which means our scores were different. And you can ask your opponent too : I talked to a final boss once and he was only at 10 wins.

Hey Guys Blizzard devs here,
We balanced Mage by removing Snow Chugger, Faceless Summoner and Forgotten Torch.
Because god knows the problem with Mage was it's minions right ;)
(Though in all seriousness Faceless Summoner was irritating as all hell)
It's almost scary because the answer to why Mage seemed so dominant is seemingly so apparent (but none-the-less not any less complex). It's precisely because of it's Removal - It works just as well when behind, as when ahead, either being able to double up as face damage, summon extra minions, or just provide that tempo advantage.
And best of all? All of them occupy the common slot unlike every other class which at best gets 1 comparatively weak AoE and removal piece within each slot.
Here let me list them for you:
Paladin (Commons) -
4 Mana Consecration (Deal 2 all enemies)
4 Mana Hammer of Wrath (4 Deal 3 single target, +draw)
Other options (Rare/Epic) -
2 ManaEquality (Requires minions/activators)

Sure mages get the best spells - that's fine.
What's not fine is giving them excellent single target removal, excellent burst, excellent AoE and hard transformation in pretty much every rarity slot, and at almost every point on the curve.
How can you not see that that was the problem with Mage?
It's removal is too commonly acquired compared to other classes, and most of mages removal is a much lower tempo loss even on bad targets compared to other classes because of such powerful effects.
Firelands? Have a nice 5 drop whilst killing a 4/5 drop
Flamestrike? Better kill anything that's done trading and lower than 3 mana
Either give other classes more removal in other mana costs and at better rarities (Commons)
Or fucking stop giving Mages so many obscene fucking commons.
Just went and re-watched the last game. The dude had 3 fireballs, 3 flame strikes, 1 firelands portal, 2 flame cannons, a polymorph, a flame lance, 2 arcane missiles, oh and he got frostbolt from babbling book in the early game. That's almost half a deck of removal, and we didn't see about a third of his deck. That's Preeeeeeeeeety good

I do like the duality of the tan and dark wood background, but the angle of the dark wood as well as the way you slightly crane your neck forward makes for a claustrophobic scene rather than a cozy one.

That last game is exactly the reason I only watch this game and don't play it myself anymore. Even watching it made me sick and this game finds new and disgusting way for you to lose games.

If you notice hero power is actually the removal that sends the class from great to overpowered. It can play past taunts, does no damage to the hero using it, can be placed on either side of the board and answers minions that would be kept alive by any other hero except druid. I propose Blizzard change fire blast to freezing ring which freezes an enemy minion instead of dealing 1 damage which would be really good still but leave big threats still alive.

yeah but I guess it's not Battlenet enough. I expected better but the style was pretty good
yeah it was a great arpg, but it wasn't remarkably better than d3 or poe. which was kripps point, that you can still make good arpg's as good as d3 and poe, but it's really hard to make another arpg thats heads and shoulders better than what we already have. so kripps argument is that why spend the money to make a new one when it isn't going to be much better when you can just play what we already have. my rebuttal would be that people are willing to buy new games even if they aren't significant changes to existing products, just look at cod/battlefield.

1. Remove Firelands Portal
2. Remove Flamestrike
3. Remove Mage.

Calling it now, exactly 1 year from now one of Kripp's videos will be titled "Frustrations with Arena Priests".
I think Mage was the only class that didn't really get hit that much by the removal of the occurrence bonus...cause they've already got another 20-odd spells that can clear shit just as well as Firelands. I hope Blizzard learns from this and realizes they need to implement that new drafting system they've been talking about sometime very soon.

In my recent 7-3 Warlock run I've faced SEVEN Mages... Lost 3 of those, glad I managed to pull of even those 7 wins.
He is at 9 wins, the probability of him finding stupid crazy mage decks are pretty high, heck his deck was also actually pretty solid

Just today I've played against a mage who cast: Flamestrike, Blizzard, Flamestrike, Flamestrike... And to add some salt on the wound, topdecked Firelands Portal. (though it made no difference at that stage)
I loved Victor Vran! Only problem I felt was the game lacked depth in terms of combat.
I literally was guessing correctly what removal was going to happen next. RIP my sides from laughter. Sorry for the sh$t Kripp, that was just depressing.
