+Kamil Actually Twilight Hammer doesn't suck, it's just not popular in the current meta decks. I've been running it for a long time now and it's awesome.
Kripp got lethal thanks to spell totem's buff to Spirit Claw in the first game, then he almost lost to a Shaman who got spell totem 5 times in a row. Bonus: He BM the Shaman and had Kreygasm 17:02. Enjoy.
"computer thrown out the window bm" pictured being random neighbour, hearing a soft canadian male voice yell "THATS BULL SHIT" and hearing glass break then seconds later a crash

I really don't understand the balance on spirit claws, compared to Cursed Blade for example. I think it would be so much better if the damage was just equal to how much spell damage you have, that would be more thematic too. And a 2/3 weapon is still powerful enough
professor bean Imagine Aviana into Ragnaros. Imagine Anub'Arak against Control Warrior. Imagine Herald Volasjz against Paladin. DO YOU WANT THAT? Oh wait those cards are still garbage, even tho they can be good sometimes.
Kripp clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Rolling spell damage totems takes a lot of skill and in fact determines the better shaman player these days, just like how you can't be good at druid without Wild Growth or Innervate early on.
Spirit Claws should be a 1/4 weapon that gets +1 attack if you have Spell Damage. It would still have a purpose for early game pings, but would not be completely ridiculous if you got turn 2 spell damage and could still kill many 2-drops. It would also do a little less damage going face , which is always a plus.
You could argue that Spirit claws is better than wrench, but it's not STRICTLY better. You're basically comparing mech synergy with spell damage synergy, and that's like comparing apples and oranges.
Fun and not so fun Spirit Claws according to Kripp: Fun: play Spirit Claws, win 1/4, get a spell damage totem. Not so fun: play Spirit Claws, loose 1/4, get rekt by opponent. Alternative not so fun: opponent plays Spirit Claws, wins 1/4, gets spell damage totem whilst Kripp gets salty
There is another card that gets big buffs when you have a spell damage minion, but nobody ever plays it, nor can anyone even remember its name. It's not actually that bad either, stat-wise, it's something like a 6/4 for 3 mana.
LOOOOOOOOOLLLLL excelent man!!! That game with your mage and killing the cancer shaman with randomness was awesome!!! Just like they ALWAYS do (and they still say that you need pure skill to play shaman when they roll the exact totem that they need out of pure luc.... err... I mean skill). Great job!!!
it's a 1 mana 1/3 weapon which is liiiike a 1 mana 2/2 weapon. but when you have spellpower, "half" of the time, it becomes a 3/3 weapon. the "average" of the times it's used (between being a "2/2" weapon and a 3/3 weapon) is a 2/3 weapon. considering that shaman has a 2 mana 2/3 weapon with overload for 1, even considering the fact that spirit claws has rng involved, it's still far superior.
just as a 1/8 minions sounds a lot worse than a 4/5 minion, yes? when the length plus the width equals the same number, the 'volume' is what determines how a person perceives the card's strength. but if we assume blizzard has done their balancing right, the fact that a 4/12 and an 8/8 both have the same value makes a 1/3 weapon have the same value as a 2/2.. tl;dr even though a 2/2 deals more damage in total than a 1/3, there's a balance of flexibility and burst.
joe chu "Cogmaster wrench" 3 mana 1/3 get +2 attack when you control a mech. Spirit claws are much beterr than wrench, cause you can get spell damage with your hero power, and make deck that has some of spell damage minions. Powercreep included
many cards aren't that balanced. cogmaster's wrench would be on the same level of stength as firey war axe if it was straight up a 3/3 weapon. pretty sure it's (fairly obvious?) that cogmaster's wrench is underpowered. anyway, I just wanted to point out that spirit claws is unbalanced, even considering the fact that it /should/ be 'above average' since it has rng involved, like lightning storm, elemental destruction, jousts, etc.
Change the card text from 'when you have spell damage' to 'when you have a creature with spell damage'. Whatever might be interpreted into this proposal, a totem is definitely NOT a creature ^^
How is a totem not a creature? Last time I checked, creature meant pretty much anything that moves/isn't inanimate. Also, many people call minions "creatures", as many card games refer to the things that fight for you as creatures.
I don't care what people call minions or what you think xD Blizzard can just program it as I proposed - and that would make sense. By the way: Wiki says "Creature is often used as a synonym for animal". Cambridge dictionary offers more "any large or smal living thing that can move independently" or "used to refer to a life form that is unusual or imaginary". It is clear what I was talking about when you read my whole comment. Period :)
I just thought that Al'akir should also have spell damage, stealth, spellshield, enrage, battlecry, deathrattle and inspire. For funzies! Maybe then it would be good?
I mean, Kripp's right again here. Any of these cards that can have such a dramatic effect on the game purely due to RNG are destructive to HS and keep the game in the 90% luck / 10% skill category it currently sits in. The game is too RNG-based and, while so much RNG is totally fine and great fun if the intention for your game is just that: purely for fun, it's clear Blizzard wants this to be a competitive game with tournaments, and prize pools, and the like. If you want your game to be taken seriously on the eSports seen then you need to cut back on the dramatic RNG that swings games one way or another without the slightest bit of skill involved.
I don't think it's as destructive as you claim. The conditions for getting both spirit claws and a spell damage totem in your first two turns aren't very easy to obtain. You have around a 1/3 chance to draw it in your first two turns, as in you have four chances: Starting hand, mulligan hand, turn one draw and turn 2 draw (You draw 9-10 cards total out of thirty). The chance that you will get a spell damage totem in one - two attempts is 25% (1/4 or 2/8). If you times 1/3 by 25%, you get 0.0835%. So basically, the probability that you will have spirit claws AND have a spell damage totem in your first two turns is 0.08%. So it isn't so much the fact that the card is destructive in the early game as it is the luck of the draw, making it fair.
I honestly don't get why blizzard didn't see this coming and this makes me question wether they are actually thinking about the fairness of a card before implementing it into the game.
I don't see how spirit claws on turn one which might work out to a 3/3 weapon on turn two but most likely will still be a 1/3 can decide games so much more than a warrior pulling an almost certain turn one or two 3/2 weapon.
Because shaman has much better minions then warrior, and warrior is much slower than shaman. Plus the one extra durability on shamans spirit claws can really make a difference
Shaman was very strong as is and Fiery Win Axe is a good(too good, in fact) weapon and this one is good as 1/3 for 1 and even better as 3/3 for 1 and a totem. 1 damage on first-second turn can be quite enough, btw, and it has 3 charges instead of 2 of Fiery Win Axe
It is a 3/3 for 3 at best early game as you have to invest in getting that spellfire totem which you could easily whiff on and waste early momentum trying to get. Nothing worse than turn 1 Spirit Claws into a Healing totem or flametongue totem (which you have a 50% chance of happening). Getting a taunt totem is moderately better but isn't exactly positive momentum. Comparing this to dropping almost any other popular 1 drop creature it is just not that effective turn one 75% of the time. At least in what is still a very aggressive format.
Heather Kramer Well, it depends against who you play and what deck you play. I should have mentioned that i'm talking about mid-range Shaman. Instead of Flametongue i believe you mean Searing, Searing is okay, especially if you don't have a turn two card, which happens, so we have a 50% of an okay outcome, 25% of great RNG outcome and 25% to... hmm... jump out of the window. Still, it's worth it, most of the time. Also, Having Azure Drake and BloodMage Thalnos is nothing new in mid-range, even tho Drake is not quite early game, we still can draw Thalnos early game. Also, it's not just a good early game card, but also can be successfully used mid to late game *"Comparing this to dropping almost any other popular 1 drop creature"* like what, for example?
Well there was that GvG weapon that worked the same way but with Mechs rather than Spell Damage, didn't people say it was bad? Oh right because it was a 3-drop for rogue
hearthstone players from an outsiders point of view; the opponent played a card: oh my god the game is so unbalanced can't do shit. the player randomly get's a strong legendary: hey that's pretty cool

You're welcome.
That sums up the video.
Fun fact: Spirit Claws are the only animals that eat warthogs.
Kiandyrino Kripperino Well hello there ye piece of piss
What a great card Blizzard gave to the Shaman, yet Warrior got cursed blade
You are going to complain about cursed blade, when you have all those cool weapons already when priest got PURIFY? Oh no you DIDN'T!
Warrior's renowned for having a lot of bad cards and very few viable archetypes in constructed, I can see why they're bitter about 1 bad card.
Battenberg91 Up until last nerf no other class had AS MANY archetypes in standard as Warrior. Even now they still have quite a few... So... What?
Guilherme Sabino WHOOOOOOOSH
Battenberg91 Damn. Now I have to clean your sarcasm off my ceiling. SEE WHAT YOU DID?
Kripp clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Rolling spell damage totems takes a lot of skill and in fact determines the better shaman player these days, just like how you can't be good at druid without Wild Growth or Innervate early on.
pls someone create a BMerino Kriperino and point out all those BM's
Spirit Claws should be a 1/4 weapon that gets +1 attack if you have Spell Damage. It would also do a little less damage going face , which is always a plus.
Light's justice power creep.
why would it be a plus to deal less damage if going face?
Spirit Claws is already a power creep for Cogmaster's Wrench.
You could argue that Spirit claws is better than wrench, but it's not STRICTLY better. You're basically comparing mech synergy with spell damage synergy, and that's like comparing apples and oranges.
Tyler Albers clearly oranges are superior apples.
It's a 1 mana weapon. Zealous Initiate has the same mana cost and there can only be one 1 drop. It means that it's a bad card.
That may have been the biggest krippGasm I've ever seen in one of these vids.
10/10 BM, good to see the old kripp back again.
What if Kripp never met rania ?
never seen a man so happy as I did when I looked I kripps face after that bm. Btw, whats BM stand for?

that spicy bm though
One time I played a Spirit claw when my opponent had 3 health, then Hero powered and got Spell damage, and won.
This was a better video than most, nice one Kripp.
You don't get a like your not a kripperino
The number of novelty youtube accounts just for this channel is amazing and shows how a great fanbase can enhance content.
funny how kripp had higher chances of getting that iceblock, than the shaman getting those spell power totems
12/10 BM at the end there. Well done Kripp.

Fun and not so fun Spirit Claws according to Kripp:
Fun: play Spirit Claws, win 1/4, get a spell damage totem.
Not so fun: play Spirit Claws, loose 1/4, get rekt by opponent.
Alternative not so fun: opponent plays Spirit Claws, wins 1/4, gets spell damage totem whilst Kripp gets salty

*rolls spell power totem*
"AMAZING!!!"
it's a 1 mana 1/3 weapon which is liiiike a 1 mana 2/2 weapon.
but when you have spellpower, "half" of the time, it becomes a 3/3 weapon.
the "average" of the times it's used (between being a "2/2" weapon and a 3/3 weapon) is a 2/3 weapon.
considering that shaman has a 2 mana 2/3 weapon with overload for 1, even considering the fact that spirit claws has rng involved, it's still far superior.
1/3 is definitly way worse than 2/2
just as a 1/8 minions sounds a lot worse than a 4/5 minion, yes?
when the length plus the width equals the same number, the 'volume' is what determines how a person perceives the card's strength.
but if we assume blizzard has done their balancing right, the fact that a 4/12 and an 8/8 both have the same value makes a 1/3 weapon have the same value as a 2/2..
tl;dr even though a 2/2 deals more damage in total than a 1/3, there's a balance of flexibility and burst.
joe chu "Cogmaster wrench" 3 mana 1/3 get +2 attack when you control a mech. Spirit claws are much beterr than wrench, cause you can get spell damage with your hero power, and make deck that has some of spell damage minions. Powercreep included

joe chu but here you have a weapon. you cant kill 2 hp minions with 1 kill as well as you take more dmg cause you can attack 3 times
Kripp, thank you for that bm, it was the best thing i felt today
Oooh my god the fucking BM in that last games was LEEEGENDARY!
Kripp.. that BM was actually painful to watch. well done.
bm net deck shaman SOOOO good!! great job kripp
That's irrelevant ofc. I am only excluding the totem on purpose, but if my definition excludes your examples as well - so be it.
I don't care what people call minions or what you think xD Blizzard can just program it as I proposed - and that would make sense. By the way: Wiki says "Creature is often used as a synonym for animal". What a topdeck on that Polymorph...
Does Kripp realize that he basically said "That's a spicy bowel movement, guys"?

Yeezus Kripp, I havent even thought of that card, ever. Thats some omnipotent jedi mind theorycrafting shit there bro. Niiiice.

I just thought that Al'akir should also have spell damage, stealth, spellshield, enrage, battlecry, deathrattle and inspire. For funzies! Maybe then it would be good?

Good claws: 3dmg to the face
Bad claws: 1dmg to a minion
Kripp hits a 1in4 at 4-1 in score.

no luck involved at all , just pure skill

I don't get the "bad spirit claws" part
The Mage thought he had the minion that summoned a Kodorider after hero power. FeelsBadMan
HAHAHA omg that BM was golden
You know what else sucks to play around? Shaman hero power.
Heather Kramer Well, it depends against who you play and what deck you play. I should have mentioned that i'm talking about mid-range Shaman. Instead of Flametongue i believe you mean Searing, Searing is okay, especially if you don't have a turn two card, which happens, so we have a 50% of an okay outcome, 25% of great RNG outcome and 25% to... hmm... jump out of the window. would spirit claws be less problematic if they reworked it to gain +1 overload everytime used with spell damage buff?
Well there was that GvG weapon that worked the same way but with Mechs rather than Spell Damage, didn't people say it was bad? Oh right because it was a 3-drop for rogue
That bm was spicy.

where's the only useful kripperino at? :( we miss u skipperino kripperino
Rogue has the same card printed in GVG, but it cost 3 mana. lol
How about some Faeria videos?!
100% agree.
7:20 Why didn't he get a kodo from kodorider? Bug with firelands portal?
GodEmperorLeto because it's not kodo rider...
thats not a kodo rider...
that was thunder bluff valiant. its inspire is give all your totems 1 attack and 1 defense. You're thinking of a different card.
Yeah we need another GvG
I see a lil bit of hate in Kripp's opinion in shamans lately
Imo the spirit claw should cost one more OR have 2 durability instead of 3
The gnome said it was going to be amazing.
10 / 10 BM Krip !
Gain attack equal to your Overloaded Mana Crystals maybe/
it should overload for 1 imo
Spicy.

Spirit Claws ?
wtf !
Could anybody tell me the full deck he uses in the second game. the deck list is missing some cards
I almost lost to a face shaman using that card, then he played mistcaller.
perfect BM
That was only a brutal BM if the person knew what was in your hand. Otherwise it just looked like how you won.
What i do when my opponent is 7 hp and i have a 3 charged spirit claws ?
I do lighting bolt , lighting bot and 1 attack for them weapon and win .
