in my personal experience postpartum, this nutritionist's video struck a chord. Her weekly food picks, including eggs, cottage cheese, and kale, align with my journey toward postpartum weight loss and well-being. The emphasis on full-fat options mirrors my own approach for satisfaction. While the Gem supplement caught my attention, my primary focus remains on whole foods during this transformative period. I appreciate the shared wisdom and value the genuine perspective on incorporating these choices into daily meals, considering the broader aspect of health.
Another problem with low-fat cottage cheese, yogurt etc, is that aside from just not tasting as good (let's be honest lol), it often has lots of really questionable ingredients. I'd much rather consume tasty actual food, and get the protein and fat my body actually needs, than save a few calories.
My liwfat just uses skim milk instead of whole milk
Also still has too much sodium
I’ve become OBSESSED with the cottage cheese/ almond butter/ apple cinnamon bowl. It’s 10/10 delicious! Thank you!
LOVE that combo!
Autumn- try bagel seasoning (such as Trader Joe’s “Everything But The Bagel” seasoning) on cottage cheese for a savory cottage cheese bowl. It’s so good! You could also add sliced grape tomatoes and avocado.
Congratulations on your weight loss Autumn! You look amazing! I love your videos! They keep me so inspired! 🥰
I just discovered your channel and LOVE it. You talk about food in a very healthy way, instead of restricting or doing crash diets. My husband and I are trying to be healthier and your videos have been helpful.
I'm loving following your videos. One of my favourite snacks is apple slices and cottage cheese. I've started buying large bags of pre-shredded cabbage slaw every week. While I do have actual coleslaw a few times a week, I've actually started using shredded cabbage in place of lettuce in a lot of my salads, I top my tacos with it instead of lettuce on taco tuesday, etc. I love the crunch, it's really nutritious and it lasts wayyyy longer in the fridge than lettuce.
loooooooove those options!!
I love slaw salads. I've been really enjoying broccoli slaw salads :)
What a variety of healthy foods!! Since I became a new mom last year I’ve been watching your videos every week and they have helped me a lot towards my weight loss too!! My favorite snack is apple with some almond butter and pecans 😋
Autumn thank you for bringing such joy and positivity into my day! You have taught me so much about how to take care of myself as a college student! I love how transparent you are with what you eat/how you are feeling.
Aw thank you so much! I'm so happy to be part of your wellness journey!❤️
Autumn Definitely A Must Needed Video!! Have A Wonderful Week!! ✨✨✨✨
Thank you! You as well!
Awesome Video! I will definitely be adding those to my own goals. Thanks for sharing
I love your protein powder! I get the vanilla for my smoothies, but I’ve also been making my kids hot cocoa with it (using milk, cocoa powder, vanilla protein powder) and they love it! No sugar crash and I know they are getting extra protein, plus they think it’s a treat.
Watched this while writing out my grocery list and it was super helpful. Your videos are helping so much with finally experiencing satiety and zero hangry outbursts. Cottage cheese bowls for the win!
Awesome video! I love your grocery videos because it helps me to get more ideas on what to buy. Thanks!
Thanks for tuning in!❤️
This is very helpful to learn how to sneak in the extra protein which I need more of. Also, love that you have your own chickens!
Thank you! Love my chickens 🐓❤️
Honeycrisp apples are so good! I'm so glad you said they're okay. Going to add them to my grain-free oatmeal with some cinnamon tomorrow
be careful tho, as any sweet and sour fruit, apples stimulate appetite 🫣 they won't leave you satisfied for long
Thanks for the tips. You have given me new ideas.
Sage!!!! She's smiling!!!! SOOOO adorable!!! Isn't she so much fun???
You look great Autumn - lots of hard work but it’s always diet. So proud of you
So helpful (as always!). Thank you!
You're so welcome!
I find your videos informative . Congratulations on meeting your goal. On my weight loss journey I’ve lost 126 pounds by changing my diet and watching portions. I would like to lose another 30-40 pounds. I have added more protein and less fried food. I recently have been diagnosed as type 2 diabetic and have been an advised not to fast other than while sleeping. ALOT of the foods in this video I actually eat, but can’t do milk or kale. Have a great day!
I have watched you for years and love your advice.
Thank you! I'm so happy to be part of your wellness journey!❤️
I love honeycrisp apples too. I like to slice and then roast them (skin-on) and sprinkle with cinnamon. OMG! SO GOOD!
wowowoow so good
nice vid, thanks! As a nutritionist I'm curious what's your opinion on the whole anti nutrient topic? I noticed you had a few cruciferous veggies on the list, which apparently have high levels. Not sure what to believe anymore!
You’re right!
The cottage cheese brand ‘Good’ is so good! I have difficulty eating dairy because it makes me very phlegmy (sorry, yes eww). I like dairy but it doesn’t like me ☹️.
BUT with ‘Good’ cottage cheese I don’t have NONE of that problem. This is great because I now have at least this option to have dairy without having the problem associated with it.
Have you tried ‘Good’ Double Cream version of their cottage cheese?
Yummy! It’s my favorite!
Thanks, Autumn!
Cheers! ☕️⚘️🕊❤️✨️
Congrats on reaching your goal!🙌 Happy to see the apples and carrots. (Im Keto and IF)
Thank you so much!❤️
Me too, on the apples and carrots! I've shyed away from them, but incorporating this time around.
Great job! 🎉❤ You look fantastic and I know how much hard work you've put in. Our girls have slowed down too 😂 we eggspect this each winter 😅🤓
Thanks so much! 😊 some of them have started to lay again, but we’re still not getting very many eggs yet 😩
@@AutumnBates
For our flock, we learned, some our our girls won't lay as often as others and age matters too, once they reached about 2,3 they started laying less. A few retired themselves and we had to add new girls. Not great if you become attached, they accumulate quickly 😂
When it comes to dairy, I consume feta cheese (in moderation), 5% fat Greek yoghurt and ayran (which is like kefir but not kefir); I am Greek. I can't say I've given cottage cheese many chances in the past; it's just that I've always been a yoghurt and a feta cheese fan. When it comes to fruit and vegetables, I stick to a seasonal approach; lately I have been consuming cabbage, which I either chop or shred and with fruit citrus ones (clementines, oranges), apples and bananas. Carrots also pair well with cabbage; still, I have it plain. Cheers.
Thank you for all the awesome information!! So helpful on this journey ❤❤ Question for u. I’ve noticed that if I have anything with sugar it raises my heart rate quite significantly for about 20 mins. Is this normal? I’ve been doing high carb for about 10 days now and loving it!! Thanks again!❤❤
Great video. The Gem bites sound interesting. How do you find those things? Thank you for sharing your list of 10 things you buy every week with us. Have a great week! 💪❤️🇨🇦
I first found them about 5 years ago when they first started up. But I recently stumbled across them again and have been loving using them!
They seem high in added sugar. Are they worth taking with the added sugar and carbs when you are trying to lose weight?
I love Sarachi sauce in my cottage cheese. Also, egg topped with avocado and sarachi sauce on top. Sometimes I'll have Ezekiel bread with it.
Luv your video’s! Thx for sharing! You look great! Congrats on your weight loss goal. You say you buy the big block cheese from Costco, I would love to buy that way, but I find once it is open it only keeps good, the flavor, for so long. How do you store yours once open? Thx
Hi Autumn!
Thank you for sharing all of your incredible knowledge. I’m new to your channel and am hoping you can guide me.
I’m trying to lose a little weight, have added a lot of protein and have been working out with weights for a few weeks but have gained weight.
Do you have any suggestions? Please 🙏 😊
Autumn thank you for your awesome videos! I’ve learned so much. Do you know if there’s somewhere that I can buy a large container of Good Culture cottage cheese? I can only find the 16 oz size 😢
Me: fast clicking on any video with a picture of Sage!
And of course the content is so on point and helpful too. 🤣😂🤣
Awesome!!! ❤
Congratulations autumn t
You look amazing
I use your protein waffle recipe every weekend but I also add cinnamon and organic pumpkin to add more fiber.
where can i find the protein waffle recipe? I can't seem to find it.
Between my husband and me, we eat a LOT of these foods. I need to try a cottage cheese bowl, though. I mostly eat my honeycrisp apple with crunchy PB.
Your videos have helped me so much.❤ What are your thoughts on 'natural flavors'? In Nut Pods and so many other products. From my research, it is a way to hide some nasty ingredients.
Very good video❤
Nice one, Autumn!❤
Thanks! 😊
You’re welcome!
Can you share your kale salad recipe it sounds delicious ❤
Thank you for this. I was curious if you had any suggestions for dairy free options. I'm not able to eat it. Thanks!
Yes! You can checkout my blog here: www.autumnellenutrition.com/post/the-best-high-protein-foods-for-weight-loss-your-complete-guide-full-food-list
Thank you!@@AutumnBates
Where do you find large containers of plain Skyr? Stores around me only have small flavored ones.
Thanks for the tips, Autumn! Where's Sage? 👀
Could you do a video for protein for dairy free people? Thank you!
Hi! I have a blog post with dairy-free protein options here: www.autumnellenutrition.com/post/the-best-high-protein-foods-for-weight-loss-your-complete-guide-full-food-list
These are all such yummy foods!!
Love your videos. question: with your protein waffle, could I make them into pancakes as I don't have a waffle maker and would really like to start making them? I have either maintained my weight and also I would love to lose some more weight. Unfortunately I cannot eat cauilflower or broccoli.
Absolutely! You can use the same recipe for protein pancakes instead.
How do you batch your waffles recipe? Do you only x the amounts per the number of waffles you want to make?
Great! Love to have permission to eat an apple LOL! And from where do you order your meat?
Butcher Box :)
Your baby is so cute omg just adoreable❤❤❤❤
Has anyone else tried the multivitamin bites?
What is the fat component in the protein waffles? There’s not much there even with the full fat Greek yogurt or whipped cream….
Great video! I’m allergic to whey, casein, white cane sugar, oats, carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower… I’ll check out the vitamins since everything I’ve looked at contains veggies I can’t have. I would LOVE to see a video on how to get your protein when you can’t have whey. Thank you so much!
Oooof I feel your pain. Wheat, casein, and vegetable oils here. But carrots? 😢 I'm back to CrossFit training and nutrition coaching after a few kids back to back, and my diet is basically chicken breast, broccoli and beans 😅 wouldn't it be nice to be able to eat everything??
@@threearrows2248 OMG I’d LOVE that! I’m 60 and just found this out! Decades I’ve had symptoms and been misdiagnosed. Good luck to you. ❤️
@@kimcarroll1129 I bet there are SO MANY PEOPLE out there who just live with discomfort and straight up pain and don't know what's bothering them. It's better to know. But so frustrating 😔
Have you tried Pink Lady apples? Soooo yummy! And have you tried lacinato kale? It is so tasty and not as bitter as curly kale. Have you tried A-2 milk? It is milk from A-2 cows that naturally produce only natural A2 protein and NO A-1. Whole Foods has the Alexandre Family Farm brand. It’s so much better and healthier than milk from A-1 cows.
Thanks for the video. Oh, and honeycrisp is the only way.
Have you tried pink lady apples. I think they have less sugar than honey crisp
I am establishing an inner integrity.
Recipe for the protein waffles?
Nice music ❤
Autumn I’m so confused about dairy. I added it back into my diet after watching your videos. But that new Netflix documentary made dairy sound pure evil. lol. Please help! Would love clarity on this.
I *definitely* recommend you checkout my video breaking down the research on dairy here: ruclips.net/video/OXRaL1IRRDc/видео.html
@@AutumnBates will do!
How did you enjoy the egg nog (without getting sick??). I tried having a treat, it was a dark beer and I got so sick after only a couple of sips. 😭 #imissguiness
If you already have high cholesterol or like me, take a statin every day, will the fat or eggs negatively affect this ?
I hear a lot from peers such as
‘I already have higher or just a bit higher cholesterol than desired. I couldn’t eat that!’
Bummer, Gem is not available on I - herb . As an a non US resident getting nearly 90% of health foods is difficult and the only way is through i - herb as they offer international climate controlled shipments that arrive refrigerated. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find your protein powder, nor LMNT, nor GEM. I hope your protein will be stocked there in the future. But Thank you for the lily’s chocolate recommendation. I was lost trying to choose a brand. It’s available at i - herb.
Autumn, did you take prenatal vitamins? I know they can be large… if not, that would be a great video to cover what supplements you did take while pregnant. Sorry if you e already covered this, I might have missed it.
I did! I shared the details during my pregnancy with this video: ruclips.net/video/K48qpvTzmBs/видео.html
I can’t find these brands in Australia 😢
Great video with lots of great choices!
Unfortunate that GEM puts in such “high quality “ ingredients just to add in a questionable oil source that they say”sunflowers and/or safflower oil “ which are extremely inflammatory. As a nutritionist, that’s a same you would promote this as a good alternative when that oil alone can/will cause issues that defeat the purpose of taking the vitamins.
Have you done a vegan protein powder yet Autumn? ❤
Not yet!
Can you tell us where you get your meat from?
Where can i find the protein waffle recipe? I'm not seeing it, or maybe i'm just blind.
Where did u get your chicken & beef from?.TIA
I can’t see the vidéo for the waffle’s 😢can somebody share it please ?
Here you go! ruclips.net/video/lk9Ar_0sht8/видео.html
Do you not have issues with cholesterol eating that amount of eggs?
What did you put on top of the apples in your bowl just now
Curious as well!
I’m pretty sure it’s cinnamon
Cinnamon and nutmeg!
Oh ok thank you cuz I love cottage cheese apples, and I bet it taste great with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Thank you so much.
I love fresh mushrooms in my eggs
That’s what I was thinking also thank you
I'm allergic to milk protein 😢
My tummy doctor said bacon is bad for you, but I like it. 😢
Low-fat dairy is better for us post menopausal ladies.
Going to try lily’s choc chips.
Sage is beautiful !
Apeel
No spring lettuce or Romaine?
Maybe not as nutrient dense
I like those as well, but I've been preferring kale lately
1.Eggs
2.Cottage cheese
3.Chocolate chips
4.Kale
5.Greek yogurt
6.Carrots
7.Broccoli &Cauliflower
8.Whey protein
❤
I’m allergic to milk and eggs :-(
For once can you please explain to your viewers what the artificial flavors are in your protein powder??? This question has been asked soooo many times and you keep ignoring it….
What
The constant body checks on your channel seem so unnecessary and unhelpful. Why do they need to accompany the nutrition information you want to provide? Health is about a lot more than how you look. And all bodies are different even if we all ate the exact same thing.
what is in the air, water, and soil that your food is sourced from? the earth is a large aquarium being contaminated beyond our control. capitalism privatizes profit and socializes costs. (externalities)
If you need to loose fat on your body keep fat off your plate! At your athletic healthy size you can keep the fat but be careful telling that to everyone
You have the look of a vegan
