What a GREAT explanation! I have had this condition since 1993, due to a traumatic ski injury where one binding did not release, pushing my pelvis backwards and rotating it inward, resulting in a leg length discrepancy (added 1/4 inch). As the doc said, I suffered on and off, staving off permanent disability for 15 years. But the last three years have been excruciating, where I can't stand more than a few minutes, can't walk without a cane, and can only sit or lay down, because any weight bearing activity results in debilitating pain long after the action. VA response - your pain does not 'match the mri's or studies" Seriously? Abnormal EMG of L-3-4-5, left leg (pain on right lower lumbar at L-4-5 worst, tingling, excruciating sciatica for 3 yrs) MRI radiologist 7'mm resthiolesis at L4-5, severe spinal stenosis, obliterating the thecal sac at L 4-5, anklyosing spodlythesis...this patient meets criteria for your attention...see neurosurgeon immediately".
It's all about the money, equipment and expertise available. I am lucky I was able to see a private surgeon who like many on line have expressed, THERE IS SURGERY THAT CAN HELP! AND THERE ARE SURGICAL SOLUTIONS WHEN YOU HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE! RESEARCH IT AND DEMAND A SECOND OPINION FROM AN OUTSIDE PROVIDER!
