Handy Hint: I’ve held yard sales all over the US in big cities & small towns. The one thing that people who show up early always want? Tools. They sometimes want rare items, but more often it’s to replace something they’ve lost or broken from a set they’ve had forever. You’ll make more than selling them for scrap if you go that route. 💜

Man should have emptied the boat and went back. Seen in the news a man in New York fished out a safe that had 100,000 in it. He called the police the safe had no serial # that had been reported stolen and they were told they could keep there findings.

If I had $5,000; I'd get a John boat, trailer and start magnet fishing the Ohio River around Wheeling or Steubenville. Steubenville was known to have 20-25 "kat" houses right on the bank of the river. For those who don't know what a "kat" house is, it's a house of prostitution and these houses ran from 1880 to about 1925. There used to be a dedicated trolley tracks which started in Cleveland, Ohio and ran all the way to Steubenville and in the early 1900's it was double tracked. On Friday nights and Saturday nights, the trolleys ran every hour back and forth until 4 a.m. in the morning. Cost for the trip from Cleveland to Steubenville was $.65 cents. Have no idea what the "ladies" cost.
I too want to do what Tyler is doing! I don’t even have the money to buy a cheap Brute magnet much less the boat, trailer, gear etc nor do I have anyplace lined up to do a scrap yard run too

Did you notice that up on the river walk where you found all the bikes was a place named Broken Spoke?
I had mentioned to you a couple of months or so ago about maybe you and Owen going to the Apple River and making a weekend trip there. I know that there is a lot of early settler history along that river and thought maybe you might find some very old interesting finds there. Just a thought. 🙂
