This was a video that Alexis has been wanting to do for a while, Cody Johnson - The Painter. Now as some of you will know, the first video we did together way back when was a Cody Johnson video and she has been anxious to do a follow up video. This is the Painter which is a very good song as well as play on words. Rodeo legend and country superstar, Cody Johnson is a very authentic country voice and Burch really approved. @CodyJohnson

"I'm Brandi Johnson." Brandi is Cody Johnson's wife, who was dancing with him in the field. This song was definitely written for her. I'm willing to bet this is a pretty accurate description of how they met 🙂
In Honkey Tonks down here in Texas at least, a simple “wanna dance?” After just meeting is very very common.
The bones of the song sounds like the Bellamy Brothers let your love flow.

My aunt and my uncle were slimmer they dated for a week then decided to get married , they stay married to 2016 when my uncle unfortunately passed away, my uncle last words to my aunt was " I Love you" as a tear ran down his cheek , she was crying also , unfortunately she passed away in 2019, she knew he was still looking after her when she was going to put the dog out , but something stop her , only to find out there was a coyote right outside the door .
One of my best friends introduced me to his new girlfriend in the club one night.
With a smile, I took her offered handshake, turned to my buddy, and said, "Sorry, that was a mistake. I'm going to marry this one."
Two months later, I did just that. That was 34 years and 3 sons ago, and I love her still.
She however loves her new guy, some dude named Phil, number four in a long string of losers she has shacked up with since she left me alone to raise our sons 24 years ago.
He wrote the song for his wife.

It's all good Chris. Kudos for trying something new. I do it all the time with different types of music with a 99% fail rate...it's that one that works which makes the other attempts worth it
