OH SHIT YEAH WE FIGHTING ZODIARK! HELL YEAH WE WON! WAIT DIDNT EMET TELL US THAT ZODIARK WAS SUMMONED TO STOP THE FINAL DAYS IN SHB!? SHIT!??!?! WHAT DID WE DO
It is really funny in hindsight, and I didn't realize till after either, but Zodiark really wasn't the big bad we somehow thought he was gonna be. Zodiark was protecting the world, and I don't think it was ever claimed otherwise. 😆
That stint as an unknown imperial? When it came out, it just gave me a reality check as of how brokenly powerful the WoL is in the eye of everyone that comes into opposition with them (or even those that fight at their side). As a single Garlean soldier, you barely manage to fight and survive an encounter with another soldier whereas, as the WoL, you slay them by the dozen; worst, you take down warmachina as if they were made of glue and cardboard. You don't even have access to that rapid recovery, you have to use medical kits and boosters just to recover from those encounters and even so, I would assume that's only temporary recovery until you can properly heal with the help of physicians. And then you realize that even people besides Garleans have, at best, a very limited version of your own power and ability to endure. So when you have a Garlean leader tell their troops to head into battle against the WoL? Yes, that's a death sentence. So is it really that hard to believe that people around you probably respect you out of fear as much as out of admiration? Hien did say it best : "You were impressive on the battlefield... impressive and a bit terrifying." So if someday the WoL decided to go rogue? Yeah, I think the Alliance would probably collectively shit their pants knowing they'd only be able to do so much to slow you down. Not stop you : slow you down. Also, the reason Hythlodaeus doesn't recognizes you on the moon is because he never actually met you before; he's one of the sacrificed after all. He did recognize the color of the soul of Azem, much like his shade did in Amaurot since it was revealed then you're one shard of him (well two now with Ardbert rejoined with you). And his shade is just a replica of the memory Emet-Selch had of him, not the actual person. So him calling you his "new old friend" is more because of the Azem part of you, not the 'you' you.
i feel like everyone had the same response when you and zenos are squaring up on the moon and fandaniel is like "excuse me can i say something?" "oh my god fandaniel not now" eta: OMG THANCRED XD
You know what I really wanted from this game? A lot of people noticed how stupidly powerful the WoL is after experiencing a few minutes in a random Imperial soldier's body. And we know that Ultimate Raids are a "what if" worst-case scenario... I want a Ultimate Raid where we face the WoL going rogue or berserk. A world transformed into a Dark Souls wasteland by the Warrior of Light.
Y'know, there might be a future where you save the world, defeat Zenos and marry Y'shtola... But in the end, there will still be Thancred. So what are you even fighting for?
This whole thing was traumatizing, I was playing the msq on my own that day and was screaming the whole time when Zenos swapped bodies 😂 and then the trial was Zodiark, and am like, ayo hold up WHAT?! I didn't think we'd actually fight him... well more so Fandaniel Also the wheel choosing Thancred...amazing, I had to go back to watch the cutscene to see every interaction but I chose Thancred first 😂
@@just_jordy23 Very true! When all the things happened, am like...oh shit this is for real- they tested the waters with Shadowbringers, and then went full on for Endwalker! 😂
So how did you react to this trial?
“Wait… WE’RE FIGHTING HIM NOW!?”
To be honest, it felt a bit off. Didn't give me the feeling of a "final boss". Didn't help much that it was way too early level-wise.
"already?!"
OH SHIT YEAH WE FIGHTING ZODIARK! HELL YEAH WE WON! WAIT DIDNT EMET TELL US THAT ZODIARK WAS SUMMONED TO STOP THE FINAL DAYS IN SHB!? SHIT!??!?! WHAT DID WE DO
"IT'S LEVEL 83, YOSHI P, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL HERE?"
I can say with absolutely supreme certainty that none of us had an inkling that Fandaniel was Amon and that Zodiark was going to be the FIRST trial.
Objective Completed: Ride the Dog
New Objective updated: Defeat the Eternal God of Darkness
ARR: Kill 3 rats
EW: Kill the literal incarnation of Depression

@@DoktorWieg yeah reminds me of the HW ending when Thordan sees you clad in shadows, that’s how your enemies see you as a monster 😂

Thank you!

Just like a wheel it all came full circle from ARR
My husband and I love your content. We met in 14. Please leave in more trial reactions like the rotation during Zodiark. We'd love to see more l!
Bro, when he was in my toon? I had a FIT. How dare Zenos violate my girl like that.
It’s like someone stealing your account 😂
When I did this, I felt so violated! Ew! Ew! Get out of my body, Zenos!! 😆 🤣
And people say he is our friend 💀
@just_jordy23 Obsessed. Like, I know I'm hot shit, but just, no.
You feel that way because you were.
