When 30-year-old self-proclaimed homebody Mack Martin (Elizabeth Lail) reluctantly joins a Palm Springs bachelorette trip for her best friend Carla (Taylour Paige), her inner 70-year-old is released - literally. The frustrated writer and influencer magically transforms into her future self: “Aunt Rita” (Oscar®-winner Diane Keaton). Freed from the constraints of other people’s expectations, Rita comes into her own, becoming an unlikely social media sensation and sparks a tentative romance with Mack’s adorable dog-sitter, Jack (Dustin Milligan). Yes just watched the trailer on a TV in the airport without sound and I was so intrigued by the scenes. Looking forward to seeing this looks fun with familiar plot but cool twist.

Why does she have cgi on her face? I get shes old but its kind of hilarious in a movie based on the premise of accepting being yourself she felt like she needed to photoshop her face to look younger.

Double-Standard: The Movie. If this were a film about an elderly man (Diane Keaton is like 76-77) pining for a young girl, then people would be calling it weird.

This movie certainly failed in one respect. It took a whole almost 5 minutes before they introduced the obligatory black friend/co-worker/boss/whatever agenda that's required. If the film doesn't centre solely on them and their all-black co-actors, they're always introduced in the first 30 seconds and never leave.

Right? It's gotten to the part where it's annoying. I get inclussiveness, racism shouldn't have existed in the first place but it did (does), because humanity's fucking stupid. The thing is, movies show portrayals and representations of certain (fictional or not) realities. And in those realities, certain races might not exist, because geographically speaking they're just elsewhere. But with this stupid agenda they keep including black people everywhere to make up for all the wrongs humanity's done for centuries, which makes no sense because racism is still there. Tensions and injustices are still there. It just doesn't seem fitting, it feels forced.
@@stephaniec.4905 ..the "wrong" with blacks started when black chiefs in Africa introduced the concept of selling members of their own tribes(because they did it themselves to members of conquered tribes so the idea wasn't new) to white traders in return for guns, trinkets, etc. In fact, with all the apologies they demand from the white race for whatever, their own race still hasn't apologized for that.

There's more to it than that as evidenced by the fact that "diversity" has only been demanded of countries like Britain, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France and other countries with a high-white population. Africa, after raping and slaughtering 77,000 whites and taking their lands are against "diversity" and this carries over to black production films where you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone white in them.
Wow 😮 this looks awful - just saw a quick trailer on tv ... in the 30 seconds, they don’t even show or hint at this terrible plot (can’t blame them). Just because a movie with the “switcharoo” hasn’t been done in like 15 years, doesn’t mean it should be done again. 🙄
