I am 71 but remember my dad following the race. He always said Secretariat would win. I remember till this day the excitement of this magnificent horse. When Diane Lane starred in this movie, I watched it over and over (including the actual race on film)...and like KC it gave me chills and tears. I was lifted off the theater seat as tho I was the jockey leaning forward for the easy win. What a thrill. Friends know better than sitting next to me...I also was excited with Sea Biscuit...remembering my dad talking about War Admiral, another giant...ahhh, smelling my horse was always a delicious joy.
