Nice way to mess up Hydrocarbons heating them up real good past operating temperature. If you're desperate it makes sense, if not get new oil.

lol its already messed up from the water but i should have explained better even if you put a ton of new oil in there will still be moisture. it would take 10x the amount to get close to this method. this is what you want to do to get the water out. even after all of that yes it is a good idea to do a flush after some driving because of the heat shock to the oil. but its not as bad as you think for for the oil if you keep it at about 250-270f. you use the same fluid to extract the water.. saves alot $$. also i pumped/flushed about 20 quarts of brand new fluid before extracting the water. i would rather have some heat shocked oil for a bit rather than water. at the end of the day the real way is to take the whole thing apart......

also i calculated how much it would have cost to flush enough fluid into this truck and it would have made more sense to buy a new tranny at that piont.

Most torque converters have a drain plug man. Why go thru this.. drain pan or take off change filter. Fill transmission.. Pull pump side line going to trans cooler. At same time have fresh fluid going to return side of trans. GET OFF THE DRUGS MAN. I OWN A 7.3 OR 2. SOUNDS LIKE A 6.4. YOU GOT. LOL

its not a 6.4 its a 6.0s and they dont have a drain plug on the torque converter you get off the drugs man! lol and i explained in my other responses why i went this route. when there is water its not as easy as putting new fluid no mater which way you slice it.

@adrenalinenjunk ive done it. The way i said. And if theres a little water the trans will burn off as long as there's no coolant in it. Ive had many mud trucks. And use too rebuild my c-6 trans and power glides. coolant is #1 killer of bearings in motor if in oil or trans fluid. Eats babbit material on bearing for crank mains rods or any shaft in trans that has same material. I got of drugs 40 yrs ago. Lol

Mine had a substantial amount of water the trans cooler broke in the radiator. And luckily, I only had distilled water in the block.
