Can we all just appreciate Tubi for a moment, I love it. There’s a lot of really good stuff on there and as far as I can tell it’s all free. Where also are you gonna see Shao Lin vs Evil Dead and the Spielberg classic Jaws?
You almost cant go wrong with any Ron Marchini led action movie. Imagine the $1 store version of Chuck Norris, this guy is the $1 store version of that guy.
The Tubi version "treats" us to the oldie music on the cassette tape - a terribly Beach Boys pastiche. Then there's another one on the closing credits.
So I am actually deaf in my right ear. I started watching this review on speakers but switched about halfway through to just my left ear bud and, even though I heard you talk about how the sound channels were messed up, still got really confused when you played a clip and there weren't words. I remembered and then put in the right ear bud to my left ear.
My mind just exploded: the main actor did the same movie 2 TIMES: Omega cop: cop, in a post apocalyptic future, travels to save pretty women. Also, washed out drunk actor has some scenes: Adam West. Karate Cop: cop, In a post apocalyptic future, travels to save pretty women. Also, washed out drunk actor has some scenes: David carradine
LMAO I THOUGHT THE SAME THING ASAP OMG. its like when the dude who made samurai cop made that same movie like 4 times over the years. RLM did an episode of his other 2 movies which were pretty much prototypes for samurai cop aka the same damn movies. its like both of these men wanted to perfect the genre or something, its weird. OH dont forget in karate cop the main girls tits were trying to escape just like in omega cop.

"Death Machines" from 1976 is THE Paul Kyriazi/Ron Marchini collaboration...it's their "Goodfellas". If you guys liked Omega Cop, Death Machines is a must see. Marchini plays a major character...who has no name and is listed in IMDB as "White Death Machine". There's a "Black" & "Asian" death machine as well. It's drowning in the best flaws, bad acting...really bad acting, dialogue from the villain that's impossible to understand and the most incompetent "hero" of any movie you've seen. "Death Machines" approaches that level of Miami Connection's this makes no sense but it's so entertaining. Just check out the scene where Marchini "breaks" out of a police station. Police officers shoot and kill each other in a horribly choreographed fight scene....or Diner scene when the owner tries to save Marchini's soul at 50 : 24 in the movie linked below. ruclips.net/video/C5-qvEXoh1A/видео.html
I actually am partially deaf in one ear. I instinctively switched my headphones when you guys played the first movie clip and I could hear clear sound but only muffled dialogue.😅
I'm fully deaf in my right ear so was listening on one ear bud. I had been listening through speakers at first and switched to the bud about halfway through the review. Got really confused when a clip played and there was no dialogue. Then I remembered and grabbed out the right bud from my case and put it in my left ear. 🙃
So I listened to this video, podcast-style, in my van which has only one working speaker... in the left door. It turned the whole experience into something borderline experimental.
Actually, a FAR SUPERIOR film to After Earth that used a compromised ozone, solar flairs and solar radiation as the catalyst for the apocalypse and as a constant foil for a hero's journey was the recent Apple TV+ movie Finch. Another one-man-show from Tom Hanks...........and his two faithful robots.
I started watching this review on my iPad, and only after half-way through, I put on headphones; I had forgotten about the dialogue mixing, so when I heard through headphones, it made me laugh really hard.
Solar flares were never about heat-they are magnetic energy building up in the solar atmosphere that gets released. What it could do that can lead to catastrophe is when it affects the earth’s magnetic field, and mostly affect communication channels.
Ngl when I was in scouts we all wore cloth neckerchiefs as part of our required uniform. You'd have to roll them and keep them tucked under the collar which took a bit to get right. Some of us eventually realized bolo ties were also considered valid uniform in place of the neckerchiefs and were way easier to throw on so we switched to those and never looked back. So in a way, for me bolos were the tie of the future!
Uh, Bryan. . . Not sure what the protagonist was wearing on his feet, but I don't think they qualify as "cowboy boots". They had thick, heavy tread on them, like hiking boots might. Or work boots for that matter. Also, I'm not surprised the goon squad got killed off so easily. . . I didn't see a single one actually aim their gun! Pet peeve of mine. . . "shooting from the hip" and still hitting targets center mass somehow! smfh!!! Finally (althought I doubt it!). . . In a post apocalyptic world where you have random and spontaneous solar flares that can hit at any time, does it really make sense to drive around in CONVERTIBLES???
Sorry Kyle but the first revolver WAS a single action.. They usually have a tube along the barrel that holds a pushrod used to push the empty shells out of the cylinders. Its a quick and easy way to recognize a single action revolver front a front view at least.
Forgive my "actually" energy, but both single & double action revolvers can have a pushrod ejector. That's not alway a dead giveaway. I can't get a good look at his gun, but it does seem to have a Peacemaker vibe, so it could be a single action gun.
@@The_Kentuckian Well let me ask you this, how many double action revolver models have an ejector rod out there?, and out of those, how many do you think will end up on a movie set where they could confuse someone who doesn't know about revolvers. I think the ejector rod is a pretty solid way to ID revolvers in Hollywood.
Chuck Norris said Ron Marchini was one of the toughest opponents he's ever faced, probably because he kept running up behind him and kicking him in the balls.

*sigh* Double-action revolvers have a "double-action" because you can shoot them without the hammer cocked, the trigger pull is longer and heavier, which can be bad for accuracy if you never shoot from double action. You can fan a double action revolver just fine. You might be able to shoot a DA faster fanning it. He was probably fanning it because its a movie, not for any practical reason, not that there are many, outside of some competition shooting and having fun.
