As an Australian i must say this is one of the best looking exhibits I've ever seen showcasing our native wildlife! It really does look like the outback, the plants are endemic to the areas shown, they're even showing wild type budgerigars ( green with yellow faces) . I get irritated with a lot of overseas zoo , Australian exhibits. They'll show woodland species mixed in with savannah species mixed in with Tasmanian species.... It would be a bit like if you went to a non American zoo and their USA aviary had Arizona road runners in with Canada geese while the aquarium had Manatee, Chinook salmon and hellbenders in one big tank.
Awesome, I had no Idea Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies were so hard to come by in Zoos. I know Zoo Tampa is one, but I unfortunately don't know the other.
A leucistic emu!!! I’m Australian and I’ve never seen one. How beautiful! Thanks for sharing this section, it’s amazing how well our Australian desert is represented in California. Great colours and theming!
It’s so rare to see Australia well represented in zoos. Great to see these amazing creatures being given the love they deserve. I know Omaha Zoo, Los Angeles Zoo, and Zoo Tampa have yellow footed rock wallabies!
@@ZooTours that’s good to hear! Even as someone who lives in Omaha, and visits the zoo regularly, it’s hard to keep track of all the animals! Do you know of any full species lists for the zoo?
Absolutely great video Zak, I felt that this was one of the most well written videos to date, with very good facts that don't drag, alongside smooth transitions and funny jokes. Works wonders when paired along with Marc's photography. Looking forwards to the next tour!
Thank you very much for being the first to mention these changes! The channel will have a much more casual, get to the point style from now on, no documentary-like dramatic effects, like a real zoo visit should be.
San Antonio Zoo had Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies for a while, but they haven't been there since 2018 which is sad as they are one of my favorite macropod species
What an outback? And well done, Marc! Say, Zak, which zoo are you visiting next for Episode 111? Also, I've got 5 zoo trivia questions for you.... 1) What is the name of the klipspringer that moved in to the Oakland Zoo from the Alberqueque Zoo? 2) How many new Mexican Gray Wolves moved in the San Francisco Zoo this year when Bowie is at his own exhibit, since his 2 Brothers passed away? 3) What animal sneaked into the SF Zoo & ate 2 wallabies + 1 red kangaroo at the Walkabout? 4) What new animal moved in to the Sacramento Zoo? 5) What animal did the Curiodyssey Museum & Zoo usually house way back?
As a loyal subscriber from Taiwan. I found out that the only two zoos in the US displayed yellow-footed wallabies are LA Zoo and San Antonio Zoo. Is that correct?
Have you ever noticed that the name " Australia(n) Adventure(s) " is getting more and more common like the overrated name of " Stingray Bay ". I mean, I can already think of atleast 3 zoos with the name. Maryland, Fort Wayne, as well as this one. Is Australian Adventure gonna be the next Stingray Bay? Who knows?
@@ZooTours Oh, my bad. My memory is a lil' dogshit, so I think I might of confused someone's African Journey for this. Lol. And as somebody whos been in the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo? I just beg of them to change the name of Stingray Bay. Please. WE DON'T NEED MORE OF THEM.
@@ZooTours Hearing you insult them is just glorius, to be honest. I mean, anything could be a better name than Stingray Bay. Hell, even I can come up with something better than it. Stingray Shores.
I've found several sources that state otherwise. Can't find anything about the Majove "Located in the Sonoran Desert" - thetravel.com "The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is located in the Sonoran Desert" - guidestar.com "They are in the Sonoran Desert of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains foothills near Palm Springs, California." - coachellavalleyweekly.com "The Eisenhower Trail, comprised of three different trail routes, is a great way to stretch your legs and see the landscape in the Sonoran Desert." - onlyinyourstate.com
Don't scare me like that😅 There's always one mistake per video and I already had to Trim one of them out. Though I don't blame you, I had my doubts about its location because other sources never gave a straightforward answer.

Los Angeles for sure has Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies, just saw them last week :) And I believe Tampa is the other location as mentioned by others!
This looks like an amazing Australia section! So many unique animals that you rarely see in many zoos.
Wow its nice different kind of animal .keep up g ood work .staysafe .i love it

I love new zoos to the channel! And Marc did an amazing job filming, and you did a great job editing as always, this was a spectacular episode!
I just booked a trip to Palm Springs and I planning on stopping at the living desert zoo for sure after seeing this video! Thanks Zoo Tours!!!
Its really nice to see so many unique Australian species!
That's some amazing bettong footage you got! My home zoo has a bettong, and I've had bad luck seeing anything other than it sleeping!
Desert exhibits are always my favorites, keep it up man!

Wildlife canyon reference probably made wildlife canyon fans cry and now are against roo valley

Did you try one time to go to a French zoo ?
I did not, but now that you mention it, there's talk of this channel going international in the works.
