This is FATAL FURY after all, not just mark of the wolves 2, so with Billy showing up its safe to expect other Fatal Fury classic characters and Billy is rocking an all new look. The look seems... divisive? Some are scared by it, some seem to love it, regardless of the look however the gameplay is classic Billy and as a character whose been incredibly low tier over the last 20 or so years he heavily benefits from some of the universal systems in the game so works out for him! Give the breakdown a watch, like if ya liked it, and let me know what you think!

@@captainmega6310 He has. Billy is a boss character. The only time he was ever bad was XV. Billy needed to be nerfed from XIV, but SNK overnerfed him in XV. Every update in XV gave Billy buffs, and he's still not strong. Only consolation is that he's better than Krohnen...who is now trash after being nerfed into K9999. 😈
I'm so happy Billy made the roster, his new look took me by surprise but it's growing on me. I also like that he's taken over the Howard Connection and I'm really looking forward to his interactions with Rock. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if there's an gang/turf war between the Howard Connection and Kain's organization.

It’s always disappointing that for a lot of people they are just like “Eh. He’s aight.” I have always loved Billy. Dude’s iconic one of the first true staff users with said staff being able to extend and that rocker style! Being in a band doesn’t hurt either! Billy deserves more love and it looks like this game could potentially be the game to bring that love for newcomers and veterans alike. Now I just need my man Yamazaki.
9:06 They simplified this move into a 623 (Shoryuken) motion in KOF XV, so I can only assume it'll remain the same here. Same goes for Joe's punches - they also changed that into a DP motion, too.
That rekka is actually his 214B from RB2. I thought he looked goofy as hell, but now I realize the game takes place in the early 2000s and he fits that setting. Really bold of them to do such a dated design
With Billy Kane being formally announced, I just hope Duck King is next in line. There's no Fatal Fury without him. And besides, he will be amazing here in this game. Yamazaki and Freeman too are a must-have in this new game as well
It's a good thing they made Billy a base-game because the Jeff Jarrett look would make me worried about his dime-drawing capabilities. Also the thing you call a "pogo" the technical term for it would be a "vault" or "vaulting strike" pogo's more a term for for Yoshimitsu's grasshopper stance.
Haven't played anything SNK before since SF6 was what got me into fighting games. Really looking forward to trying this game. Everything about it looks incredible.

In my opinion she will have an upright idle pose, and one of those low-cut kimonos that mature women wear in anime. Similar to those that appeared in her intros and outros of the old kof and ff.
Gameplay wise, he looks really good, obviously I miss the bandana, but honestly he doesn't look bad and it does invoke him leveling up from level 5 crook to level 99 mob boss, because that's how the mafia works
No shade, but people having a hard time seeing Billy sans banana & Union Jack are letting their Failure Of Imagination flag fly. I’m 💯% here for portraying a character as more than their costume!

I personally hope they use Nightmare Geese instead of full on resurrecting/retconning Geese back again. Let him be playable so we don'tlose his moveset, hell, let him be story relevant as a spectre even, whether as a haunting nightmare or an actual spirit, but have him stay canonically dead. Nightmare Geese was made for a reason after all. Geese has the KoF timeline, ~14 years of Art of Fighting (which they said they wanted to try to do more of at some point), a potential revival of collaboration games, and the ability to easily guest in any SNK Fighting game (which are coming out more often than other companies that aren't named Arc System Works are making Fighting games) to play with, unlike Heihachi and Bison who kind of only have the one series.

This is nice! Spooky once summarized KOF as a roster of “well dressed assholes.” I love that! Stylish characters designs that are grounded in reality. It’s giving Mature Action Movie vibes, rather than a teenage boy’s power fantasy, and that’s what I want more of in my fighting games!

I like the fact that his new look is completely different from his previous looks, and Billy is a character that has had many outfit changes in the past, though I wonder how Billy would've looked if he were in the canceled Garou 2. Despite the fact that Billy's return was teased in the poster featuring Rock and drawn by Tonko, at least now I'm hopeful that SNK will add characters from previous Fatal Fury games and not just all the ones that appeared in Mark of the Wolves. I wonder if there's a possibility that Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei could come back

Ahem, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the skin tight outfits they wear, suffice it to say that Billy doing it in his street clothes is pretty impressive. So yeah, that's how I learned that pole vaulting is legitimately fun to watch, it's one of the sports where women are more entertaining than men, like volleyball. Good on Billy for representing a rare athletic talent 😅.
I didn't catch that he used the universal armor move in the air. I thought they made his counters able to be done in the air when I first saw it. I guess he doesn't have the counters in this game because I didn't see them in the trailer.

Is this game set in the year 2000's? Because if so Billy's clothes make so much sense
mark of the wolves is very specifically set in 2008. So unless they magically move it to "present day" the game should take place in 2009
