This was the only time I’ve ever done a drawing challenge or anything public like this. Also it got me back on instagram after YEARS. Small learning curve lol. It was really neat to be a part of something. 👍🏻

I drew some of the prompts, didn't like my results, but learned a lot. And i plan on trying them again (and again) until I am pleased with my efforts. This has also served as a starting point for dozens of other things to draw. So, thank you for posting these prompts, for all of us who bravely drew, but weren't confident enough to share...yet.

I loved doing this challenge! It definitely broke me out of just practicing the fundamentals and faces. Embrace the fun!
Doing it again IS a good idea. I found it easier to commit to a shorter challenge, so 10 (or 7 even) is a good length. I tend to be more inclined to put pencil (or pen, or marker...) to paper when I have a defined task. I also really enjoyed seeing other people's interpretations of the prompts. I often felt pings of delight when I scrolled through the images.

This 10 day challenge might end up taking a month but i have 3 prompts done so far and now im inspired by everyones drawings!

I hope we do this again. I was very sick so I did some but not all, I'm still doing some of them. These are all amazing.
Danny - I live in New Zealand and your prompts were always a day late for me 😁 So I did whatever took my fancy and literally never followed the prompt! Except that I did draw everyday...

First drawing challenge for me. It just proves drawing daily improves skills. I struggled to draw a cup 1st day (I don’t draw!) but then pushed I. And drew my bathroom which my daughter said it actually looks like our bathroom!

I did all 10 days and uploaded to insta with the hashtag. No probs, I really enjoyed doing it.

Hi, Danny. I’ve been meaning to comment for ages. I first learned about you from Kurt Holloman who was my drawing instructor at the Pacific Northwest College of Art twenty years ago. At the end of the first semester, he did something that totally changed my life, though I didn’t realize it at the time. I was a “returning student” already in my mid 20s and not sure I wanted to spend years on a degree, so he showed me the nuts and bolts of how he marketed himself as an illustrator. On the strength of that tip, I dropped out of school and just started hustling my work. I was eventually publishing in national magazines and put out some books along the way. You were often a part of Kurt’s curriculum, so I think of you as the godfather of my career in that sense. Anyhow, I love your work, and your down-to-earth videos. You are at once an inspiration and a soothing voice of reason.

I really wished you did this on Discord. I wanted to do this project but I sure as hell wasn’t going to put it on Instagram where my friends and family can see
@ekw9459 I just created a second Instagram account for my creative works, so I do not interfere with my first IG account that I use for my job. It is quite easy, also to switch between the accounts, and my friends, colleagues and professional followers do not see the art I am posting.
