I live in Indiana, and YES you can't go anywhere without seeing pork tenderloin sandwiches on most menus! The Edinburgh Diner serves the largest pork tenderloin sandwich at 2 feet across!!! A pork tenderloin sandwich is great for lunch, or dinner! Don't forget a nice warm slice of sugar cream pie for dessert!
Yes I have had one from Marcy Jo’s. Joey was from Indiana and like you she loved them. They are delicious! Went back to Marcy Jo’s again just for the great Indiana pork tenderloin sandwich.
Pork Tenderloins are the Indiana staple. It's very hard to find a better meal than a homemade pork tenderloin with a side of Indiana sweet corn. #perfection
I grew up in Indiana and, as they say, you don’t know what you’ve got til you’re gone! I LOVE pork tenderloin sandwiches! But they don’t have them in any restaurant in Virginia? So I periodically make myself a tenderloin sandwich here to remind me of home. Great recipe! The only changes I would make is cut the back fat off the chop and pound it a little bit thinner. You could even cut the chop in half and make two sandwiches by pounding a bit thinner. Also for me, no Mayo, just mustard. Thanks!
Jack this is definitely a Midwest treat! I grew up in Iowa generations of making this sandwich had no clue you couldn’t find it elsewhere. Lived in many states and if a Midwest person lived in that state in the same area you could find it in a restaurant, but my job coach said if you can’t find it it is a job opportunity. A Jack Shack sounds like a good idea Jack ... tenderloins and loose beef sandwiches chips on the side and a soda for $7.50 you’d make a good living. Depending where you live you could charge more ... a taste of the Midwest could be your hook!
From an life long Illinoisan who has made & eaten countless BPT sandwiches across IL, IA, & IN - your recipe was perfectly executed! Thank you for sharing this classic sandwich of the Midwest! 🐖🐖🐖
Years ago, too long to remember, working on the railroad, we took a train out of Toledo, to Elkhart Ind and we were stopped on a siding and someone brought us these pork tenderloin sandwiches and OMG, they were amazing, I have been eating them ever since.
The Blueberry 🫐 Festival in Plymouth for Laborday weekend has some really good ones, and the best in Indy are on a food truck daily from 5pm-2am 1000ft east of the Washington st exit off 465!!
Gabby, I'm not sure why this is in my feed, but this is a PERFECT way to make a pork 'tenderloin' sandwich. the only suggestion I would make is - put a bunch of paper towels underneath a drying rack - after the fry - to wick away the oil from the bottom. the blotting on the top is great. that way you have the ultimate crisp. great job. don't give up.
My folks are from Iowa and we always got tenderloin sandwiches when we went to visit the grands. LOVE them and get the breaded tenderloins from Amana Meat Co. SO GOOD!!!
Many many years ago my friend and I stopped st this little whole in the worldall called Pork Chop John's in Butte, Mt. OMG never had anything like it before. Just mayo and lettuce on tHe bun. This place was featured on triple D.
Your husband is right about the proper size of the tenderloin! I am a tomato lettuce guy and Mayo with mustard. I worry about disposing 2” of oil. I don’t think you need so much and 10 minutes deep frying is too long. How about closer to 1/2 inch of oil and 2-3 minutes per side?
I’m glad to find your recipe. I make these but I’m not happy with my breading. I’m from Illinois and have had many of these. I love love 💕 these. I used flour and panko and couldn’t get the ratio right and wasn’t happy with it falling off the pork after fried. I buy a whole pork loin or pork tenderloin and cut it in the chops then butterfly them. And do as you do. Season these then put one in a gallon freezer bag and beat. If you hit to pull and stretch it goes easy. And it pounds the seasoning in the meat.. I freeze my prepared beat pork in that bag for whenever I want a tenderloin and it’s already in the freezer bag. Ty. I used creole or old bay. . But I do have those other spices I’ll try. Panko would have worked if it wasn’t so clumpy so if I use that again I’ll run it through my processor . So I freeze a bunch UN breaded. I’m not sure the results to freeze them breaded ready to fry.
CUTE AS A BUTTON, you need more videos. Its okay to have gross flour mouth, because you don't want to be embarrassed by having a crappy dish. Truer words were never spoken.

Years ago, too long to remember, working on the railroad, we took a train out of Toledo, to Elkhart Ind and we were stopped on a siding and someone brought us these pork tenderloin sandwiches and OMG, they were amazing, I have been eating them ever since.
You didn't mention adding the other seasonings to the meat but, I can clearly see the residue of the onion powder etc. on the cutting board.

Growing up in Ohio I've eaten many, many tenderloins. All with mustard and pickles. Every great once in awhile I'll add onion.

I so agree that’s what I do and will do when I use her recipe.
That is the finest method I have seen, so far, to ensure that, whatever happens, you won't be able to taste the pork.

I think I’m the only black person that would actually put more Mayo on this sammich than she did! Hahahaha I LOVVVVVVE MAYO!! Nice video girly!!

I always use a tenderizer machine, cabelas have them. I then do flour first, then egg wash, then the bread crumbs.
ya nailed it... very nice presentation... ketchup would have been a nice addition...

Wow, sounds like you are a professional at beating that meat! 🤣
I want a bite!
Which restaurant in N.W. Indiana, has the best pork tenderloin sandwich??
That's not a tenderloin. It's a butterflied pork chop. Only Iowa has real tenderloin sandwiches!
I have never had mayo on my tenderloin... I have ate thousands (maybe a exaggeration)... 👀
