I was really looking forward to "Frozen 2", but I found myself liking Netflix's "Klaus" and "Green Eggs and Ham" a lot more than "Frozen 2". Not only did those have appealing 2D animation, but they also had interesting characters, worldbuilding, clever humor, and well written stories. I even liked "Spies in Disguise" more than "Frozen 2", but mostly because it was a genuinely funny and entertaining film. "Frozen 2" just felt like an exposition page.
Funny thing about Elsa being the main protagonist, she never did anything major to the story. Anna did more of the work. In Cars 2 Mater was the main protagonist, and he did more of the work than Lightning McQueen, since he took part in exploiting the truth about Miles Axelrod, saving the other cars, and even being honored by the Queen of England, so Mater did more than Elsa did. That is Sad. -TFS Android 16.
yes! you summarized my feelings perfectly. To be honest I barely even followed the plot and didn't realize the colonialism theme until afterward. For most of the movie I was just confused about why we cared about this random forest and tribe when they weren't mentioned in the first movie. I didn't like how Anna ignores kristoff and I didn't like how elsa just ends up... alone? like she forgot the entire first movie?? Great video!
1) HAHA! Kristoff’s side plot was so odd. Of all the things to do with this man, we make him fail a proposal attempt smh smh 2) Elsa ultimately doing everything alone is still my biggest problem with this movie. What was the message of Frozen 1 if not the benefit of working with one another? Maybe giving Elsa a clear weakness (a writing “kryptonite”, if you will), would have helped balance her out as a character. 3) Thank you for the sweet compliments! I really work hard on these videos. It means a lot that you enjoy them. Thanks for checking it out!
@@kaden.vasquez Yes, Elsa doing everything alone is what infuriates me most about this movie and it's story, and I love how you point out how the story is built around this. I just really want to see Anna and Elsa work together to achieve a goal since the Frozen series is supposed to be about love, sisterhood, and family. If Anna can't have magic, then maybe Disney should give her a musket or something to help balance her out with Elsa. Lol!
Why are you reading this Same! I have fallen in love with Song of the Sea since the first time I watched it. It is unlike anything else. I’ll definitely be checking out The Breadwinner soon
OK, even though I disagree with your contention that it's "the worst sequel in Disney history," the points you make are certain true. However, I think you leave out some of the good things Frozen II attempted; for example, I'm ok with seeing an entire town washed away as a consequence of its forbears' calloused calumny, but I'm an adult with a penchant for dark films. I can appreciate that Disney --at least a little -- brought up such "consequential" matters, while still respecting that it doesn't want every five year old kid in the world living in fear of massive tsunamis that will kill them. While I love Song of the Sea (and The Secret of Kells and Wolf Walker as well), there are worse things a kid could watch than Frozen and Frozen II. (My bias: Frozen will always be a favorite to me bc -- for once!-- "true love" takes on a non-Disney princess definition.) I love your reviews, Kaden. Keep 'em coming!
Honestly, I was confused how nothing except for little Anna and Elsa, had anything to do with the first movie. I don’t like Elsa ending up alone either, the whole first movie had Elsa and Anna longing to be with eachother again. Elsa didnt mind being alone and free but she ended up like that because of her fear. But now she’s alone again and might not even see Anna again. It also made no sense in the whole frozen world, I was disappointed and I felt like this wasn’t really frozen at all. A better sequel would have been maybe a look into their lives after the first movie and some other problem happening while still having connections to the first movie. The sequel was like, “oh let’s make a sequel but only use the same charcters but have an entirely different story plot that had nothing to do with the first movie and it’s plot in the first place”.
Why couldn't we just get a movie about Anna and Elsa? Why did Kristoff and Olaf HAVE to be in the movie?? They basically already didn't want them there (at least Kristoff) so just... Don't have them in the film.. it's that simple. Now you have more space to build the story and interactions. Olaf could've honestly been an easy part of the story to Anna and Elsa's film without Kristoff in it. Could've symbolized their relationship or something. He could've even still died and come back to life from this
Honestly I agree but I feel like kristoff should stay, he’s the one that helped Anna get up the mountain to be with her sister and added a true love insterest(other than Hans) to fit with her longing of a relationship. And without kristoff it’ll feel a little weird in the sequel like, where’s kristoff? Cause some people like him and Anna’s relationship.
The Snow Queen < Aisier, Goddess of the Mountains ❄️🏔️ The Knokk ❔ Really, no Norse mythology? I get that it's not much & it'd flimsy, but it's not nothing.
Awesome video! Good points too, especially about the ending. Seems like the obvious choice, they don't even have to destroy all of Arendale, just the castle would have been fine.
3:23 Nope you're wrong Frozen is trying to prove that rommance is the most important part of love. The entire 95% of the whole movie is only about the cliche love triangle and the remaining 5% was let it go that played twice. If you take out the cliche love triangle , the movie is just empty.

Very good analysis. I am a fan of Frozen, but not blind, this sequel is between mediocre and bad, they turn the characters into jokes, they do not develop them, plot incoherencies from the beginning to the end of the film, new characters introduced for nothing, 3 unnecessary songs and 2 that would be fine, but they do not make sense with what is shown in the work. The 1st glitch with the Trolls song which is unnecessary for the plot, but only that, this sequel is mistake after mistake, I can't believe that Frozen and Frozen 2 were created by the same team.
I honestly hated Frozen 2. In my opinion, it’s one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. The first film was okay, it’s just that the songs were pretty irritating. The second one here, it was just stupid. The first film had an okay ending, it’s just too bad that Disney is corrupted by money. Like, almost every single aspect of this movie is stupid. The characters are boring and annoying, the songs are surprisingly worse than the original’s songs, the story was all over the place, the settings are lame, just, Frozen 1 had a perfect ending. No need for a sequel. I’m done with Frozen. I don’t need to be irritated by annoying songs and pointless continuations of the franchise. I just can’t like this movie. 2 out of 10 stars for me. I need to watch something that doesn’t irritate or rile me up. I can’t anymore with Frozen. I’m done.
Yeah now there officially making a three and a four. I think we had enough of those Frozen movies. And they sell too many Frozen toys still I don't know why they're still selling Frozen toys that's actually annoying as well. I wish I can stop seeing Frozen toys in stores
@@SIMBA-tq2ch I also find annoying that they still sell Frozen toys. Like when will they stop selling Frozen toys. There's too many Frozen toys still. Seeing the toys is annoying me to tbh.
That didn't stop them from things like: 1) Snow White succumbing to a poisoned apple and the dwarfs crying over her; 2) Lampwick turning into a donkey with no sure way to turn back; 3) Night on Bald Mountain from Fantasia; 4) the deal Ariel makes with Ursula; 5) Bambi's mother getting killed; or 6) Aurora getting hypnotized into pricking her finger on a spinning wheel. These just scratch the tip of the iceberg.
