- For today's episode we go over a couple of towns outside of Austria, Aspern and Essling.
We have been invited by the Historical Napoleonic Gaming Society of Toronto to produce a quickstike after action report.
This 6mm wargame follows the music of the 1812 Overture and really demonstrates the complexity and design of that music.
We hope you enjoy this specially commissioned video.
Using smaller figures is a great way to give a sense of scale and proportion. Great table and well edited video.
It was a fun one to edit. Thankyou!
A great video Andrew - thank-you for doing and posting it! Many thanks to Glenn Pearce for setting up such a great table. The Ruse de Guerre rules are also fantastic for all who want to try it. (Subbed!)
My pleasure. Those interviews were perfect!
Fantastic video, I really enjoyed the narration and the overture is the best of the best. Really gets me going.
I know, I was really pumped up by the music by the end.
Looks great, impressive mass effect...Beautiful table and maps!
Glenn really takes pride in setting up a scenario. He builds the map long before the players even know if they are coming. 6mm looks pretty awesome!
"No battle TOO small". Sorry I am in a very pedantic mood! But enjoyed the content, thank you.
By the time I saw it, it was too late. Lol. It did make for a more semetrical logo though... so...
Impressive tabletop "re-fight' of this famous Napoleonic battle. 👍
[p.s. May I offer some helpful information for those who are new to Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance and/or Horse & Musket wargames and wish to learn more about the types of soldiers in these periods?
Calvary is/was the name of the site immediately outside Jerusalem's walls where it is thought Jesus was crucified. 😢
CaVaLry are soldiers who fight on horseback. 😎
Also, Aspern (the place in Austria) should not be confused with Aspirin (the drug). 😂 ]
I love the Marxism Shirt. Truly the best kind of Marxism!
Groucho Marx is a legend!
I gotta get into this kinda stuff
It's an addictive hobby, but I started by buying some pre painted ones. It was cost effective and got me playing while waiting to paint things.
I enjoyed this very much thank you ,the units you showed on the map , where they battalions ? divisions or brigades ?
On the map, they were divisions, but bases in the game were brigades
Nice video, dude. One quibble, the music was at times, drowning the spoken word, look to the audio balance so as not to lose anything for next time.
Thanks for the tips!
Trudeau approved activity?
I mean, the French held their own, so...
figures are too small
You should see the 3mm
