That pirate game is the same as Assassin's creed, and to put an even further point of it forward, the guy that does the voice over narration sounds like the guy that played Edward Kenway for Black Flag.

Ubi needed to make Assassin's Creed in a setting everyone has wanted like Japan, to get fans back on board. They failed. Also I agree with Jeff, every Ubi game is just the exact same mechanics with a different setting and narrative, they're either milking it or are their creatively bankrupt, I think it's the first.
They give some really dumb excuses for not making it in Japan, which are exactly the opposite of the truth. I think they say that there's not enough demand for it and nobody would play it, when literally everyone wants just that.

They finally made a pirate game based off of Black Flag... but it isn't a proper single player RPG. Another big multiplayer crapfest like those other "online" pirate ship games. So disappointing.
Chris Walker - problem is publishers see how long the sales tail is for multiplayer games as well as the continued monetary value a multiplayer game can have over many years.
I also prefer single player games as well but realistically they just don't make as much money as multiplayer.
