And so Welsh, Irish, Scottish Gaelic and so many other languages and cultures were just smashed into the dirt to the point of irrelevance.
The Welsh are the British!!! Look up the origin of the name, it eventually comes back to Prydain, The P and D mutate to become B and T. The Anglo (English) are geographically British! Only used said term since early 1700s

Welsh sounds a lot like Old English, except I can actually understand more of it.
Probably because “Old English” was created by the Druids of Wales for the incoming Saxons which was loosely based on the Latin, Brythonic (Welsh) etc. of the period.
im SHOOOCKED they didnt mention mouse ONCE, wtf??? She's basically the reason he started all this and it would be better if people knew more about it thru her.
They speaking sim
Well the British did with Welsh what they did with any other language that sounded 'pretty' or different:
"Yeah that's enough of that then. Speak English you knobheads."
Loads of people in Ireland speak Irish, There are a lot of efforts to keep Welsh alive. Only Scottish Gaelic is struggling in your list.
He went to the same school as my mum 😂
Wow Welsh is so pretty!!!
It's crazy that they talk about Pewdiepie but not the charity that this is all being done for.
I didn't know people still speak cymraeg. It's kind of cool. They literally live next to England. But have their own secret language.
And the effort from there to keep it is very admirable. Should definitely get more respect, but obviously having a nation the size and outlook o England next to them is very difficult. Anyone would struggle having them as neighbours, ask Scotland too!
It’s not a “secret” language, for hundreds of years we were beaten if we spoke it and had to wear a board around our necks to shame us, but over the recent years, we are increasing the amount of welsh speakers
@@rhysjones1885gah I absolutely hate the awful thing our governments have done in the past such a beautiful language and culture
@@rhysjones1885That backstory really follows the logic I was going with. Sami language and finnish used to be clamped down upon in nordic countries for similar reasons. If authorities don't understand what parts of their citizens are saying it makes the authorities who speak another language nervous about your loyalties. And that's on top of the ethnic tensions.
Their speaking final fantasy
Dude I’m Welsh and I had a moment where I was hearing the Welsh and couldn’t even understand because they were talking fast. I need to do better 😂
The interview makes Connor look like he only speaks welsh
S4C is a Welsh language TV channel..most Welsh people, like Connor, also speak English.
Sims-ass language 😂
