- HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT A HOUSE IN HUA HIN???
A subscriber who is in the process of moving to Hua Hin here in Thailand asked me to do a video with information on how much does it cost to rent a house in Hua Hin. Due to covid, there are many houses sitting empty which means lots of bargains. Find a list below of some reputable real estate agents in Hua Hin and Facebook Market Place rentals listing pages.

I am a retiree and though I love making these videos they obviously come at a cost to me as the cost of travel through the Land of Smiles when I make the videos takes a large chunk out of my pension. There are many “free” ways that would help me get recognised on RUclips, they include:
• If you like my videos on Thailand you can help me by pushing the subscribe button (which is at no cost to yourself).
• If you push “Like and Share” and leave a comment.
• If you watch the video content of my videos all of the way through until the end.
All of the above will give me more exposure and more viewing time on RUclips which then helps my rating on the RUclips site. I would appreciate your help so that I can continue to improve my videoing equipment to enable me to make more exciting videos for your enjoyment.

Good video, I’m based in Hua Hin now and renting a house just off Soi 94 which is a great location. I’ve been coming for several years and was here for 6 months in the 2020 lockdown so knew it was a place I could live in. I came over in November and spent a few hours walking around the area looking for rental signs. Found the perfect (in my opinion) house, location etc. It was unfurnished which suited me as far too many have old furniture etc. Went to the big furniture warehouse at the top of Soi 88 and kitted the house out and everything was delivered the next day. Signed a year lease, as I was aware of all the things you mentioned in your tips, electric charges, area at night etc. As mentioned before, enjoy the videos 👍🏻
Hi Jed
Gordon here , visited Hua Hin in August this year and although most people recommend it I personally found it to be heaven on earth .
Loved the people, country side and of course the food.
Not sure how it is in high season, maybe to many farang for my liking but must say I liked the care you put into the video when mentioned that some landlords may be just trying to hold onto their property ❤️
I like to think that if I’m getting Australian service or better then the provider deserves near to Australian prices , which in Thailand is a really good deal .
Thanks for the vid
Regards
Gordon
Hi Gordon. I am the same I love Hua Hin because it's central to everything and its a big town but not too big. The high season used to be very busy because not only did you get foreign tourists many Thais also came here from Bangkok and other areas of Thailand. There was also a ferry service from Pattaya to Hua Hin but the service stopped when covid arrived.
Thanks for buying my book I hope that you enjoy it and that it will help you in the future.
Cheers

❤❤❤❤ Thank you so much! Such valuable info for those contemplating retiring in Thailand. Absolutely brilliant!!
Thanks o am glad that it was useful to you.
More great information. At the end were some excellent houses for the sort of money you would be paying per week in small town New Zealand! Unbelievable - and so tempting....
Hi Martin keep in mind that the prices are because covid has ruined the tourist industry. Before 2020 they were double of what they are now. But to be honest I can't see things changing much in the foreseeable future as consumer confidence doesn't seem to be working, well not in Thailand anyway.
Cheers

Very valuable video, thank you...subbed.
Thanks GED 👍👍
Your video are great thank you from Scott new Zealand
Hi Scott I am glad that you are enjoying my videos. I am heading for Koh Samui now. Look out for my next video from Ao Manao tomorrow.

All very livable as far as I’m concerned…..I’d probably avoid the 6000 baht property but rest were good value for money…..thanks for sharing Ged.
Good looking out! Im in Hua Hin right now but leaving soon. I will be back. Thanks
PS the house for 13,000 baht is not $170 US. More like $385. Still a great price
Thanks, Johnny. Thanks for your input and for pointing out the error. I must have pushed #1 instead of #3 on the keyboard...Reminder to self "Do thorough proofreading before publishing video"
Hopefully, I will be back online soon with a channel more interesting and attractive to attract people to subscribe. So please don't unsubscribe.

Came across your channel watching TV at 4 clock in the morning in bed
My sister and mom went to kenny G's concert in Hua Hin today. 🤗😉👍
Extremely helpful vlog GED. I'm not sure if you're planning this type of video for other areas you travel, but I'd be curious to see the cost difference between Hua Hin, Samui etc. Stay safe and really enjoying the content.
Hi Kris if you look at back through my videos. I did a couple of videos about renting when I was living in Koh Samui. I will try to send you the links later

@@thailandmyland...retiringd2351 Thanks so much. I can definitely appreciate the time it takes to review so many properties in one video. It only takes a few minutes to watch the videos, however to see multiple properties and put together a video is definitely a healthy time investment.
@@Kris-bk3br Yes it's time consuming but being retired I have the time and it's good to learn new skills. I wrote books on Thailand previously but I prefer doing the RUclips channel as when writing books you sit at a keyboard all day typing but when making videos your out and about in the beautiful weather and enjoying everything that Thailand has to offer.
And I bought your book 👍❤️
Interesting John.....will be looking at the same from Nov, any more details appreciated
i live off soi 94, 3 bed 3 bath for 9,000 baht/mo... love this city!
Soi 94 area is probably the best area to be. Close to town and the nightlife there has taken over from Bintabahn as the busiest place.

Great video! In north America, we call house. Is there a difference between house and villa in Hua Him?
Hi Shine. I'm glad that you are enjoying my channel. A villa is normally single story and quite often they are in a complex with other villas. Some villas have their own swimming pool and others will have a community pool and maybe a gym within the complex.
I hope that this helps.

@@thailandmyland...retiringd2351 I am thinking of renting a house in Hua Hsin, just wondering if you have a good realtor to recommend. 🙏
Hi. No, I am sorry I never use a realtor directly. I just go to sites like Baht and Sold or Facebook Marketplace where there are many properties on offer, some by realtors others by the owners of the properties. Here's a link to Baht and Sold for houses you can change the search to condos if you want.

I'm not retired, I'm 35 years old. have around 100k in save money. how do I make money there. You can open a business for those who do not receive pension money every month. think your channel is really good. Think you should develop more collaboration with other businesses in Thailand for videos.
The question was how can I make money there when I well hsr moved yours with only 100k
Sorry I have no insight or expertise on business here in Thailand so I am unable to comment or advise you.
New sub, Can you create a video that shows villa rentals?

@@thailandmyland...retiringd2351 hi. Any luck yourself finding anything permanent
Ged, very helpful and informative vlog. You showed some nice houses, especially the last one. It would be a bit big for me, but if I can find a girlfriend…Thanks very much! Colin
I'm glad it helped. I have put some links for real estate agencies in Hua Hin in the discription page
If you can't find a girlfriend in Thailand then your not trying. The problem is finding the right one

Hi Ged! Are there any thai pool villas that are close in to town??? I don't want to live a 10 min drive away way out in the mountains. thanks!
I notice that the villas for sale must be sitting empty for yrs... they havent lowered prices
Hi. There are some very rich people in Thailand who are not desperate to sell. But it's still a buyers market as some people who own property can't afford to hold on to them with no income until Thailand recovers, which won't be for a long long time. I am in Samui at the present time and the amount of abandoned hotels, restaurants and shops is staggering, where the owners have tried to sell them and have had to walk away when there were no buyers. I think that it would be the same with houses and condos where many will have been repossessed due to unpaid mortgages.
Cheers
Ged
Hi GED please do not play music when you talk it is difficult to hear what information you have Thank you by hand,
I will lower the sound of the music as I don't like the sound of my droning voice when I dub the videos.

13,000 baht is not $170 usd, its more closer to $400 usd.
Yes sorry slip of the finger on the currency app. Always do your own research don't rely on RUclipsrs for accuracy.

@@jeffkravitz9109 Depends on landlord of each property. The same as anywhere else in the world, some allow pets others don't
13,000 Baht rental equals 130 pounds? I think it is closer to 348 pounds.....
Excuse me if I get things wrong occasionally, I don't get paid for this I do it to try to help people who may want to live here one day.
