- In the year 1988, a bunch of teenagers formed a band called Death's Guitar in Imphal, Manipur. They rechristened themselves to Post Mark in 1989 and released an album called 'Stamp On You'.
Many generations who embraced heavy metal as a staple diet have now discover their unique style - presenting the local folk tunes of the homeland in a metal version - and their unique style and music blowout people's mind. These guys have not only succeeded in creating a kind of music which we now can proudly called our own, but they have also show us a path which many generations can follow.
Post Mark was also one of the best around in performing art -- the way they dressed up, their long hair, and the way they performed on stage left the youngsters awed. During concerts in early 90's, the three guitar players and the vocalist used to stand in a line and head banged! Wow, we had never seen anything like that before. They always had that Heavy Metal thing with them while performing the art. Their showmanship was enthralling, the kind of energy they brought on stage was excellent and unique.
