I found X-men Evolution to be weak because too many of the characters were teenagers. I did like seeing Kitty in the series, Havok and a young Nightcrawler but I think the show could have been better.
It is still the animated series they changed the art style for a couple of episodes and seemed to forget that Rogue can't touch people without sapping their strength

At that time Fox network was struggling to keep the show aired due to decrease in ratings but were still contractually obligated to go forward with the 65 episode agreement. It was then that Fox outsourced production to an animation studio in Malaysia to cut cost but unfortunately the writing and the animation took such a bad hit that several of the original staff and voice actors abandoned the show entirely while other's contracts were terminated due to pay disputes. The final episode was so half assed that it angered loyal fans. The series finale resulted in Professor Xavier inexplicably becoming very ill and in need of medical attention where L'landra offered to take him away to her world where he will be cared for until his final days, and Magneto serving a bedside vigil makes peace with humanity. It left a lot of viewers confused and disgruntled.

There were handsome h heroes for the female readers to look at. I wouldn't pay the 20 plus dollars that it costs to keep up with a comic series today.
