I got this laptop for college, and I've been fairly happy with it so far! The biggest issue I've had with it though is where it does not automatically switch from the speaker to headphones when I plug them in the jack. I had to go to Best Buy to try to get the issue resolved, and although they weren't all that helpful, it seems like they did something, because it began working after that!
Literally had the exact same issue this morning while trying to watch an online lecture, was thinking no way headphones were broken. Restarted laptop and it worked

It's good to hear that this laptop has both good battery life and USB Type C charging. The old style charger with a barrel connector is OK, but I'm hopeful that charging through a Type C connector would allow me to use a portable battery pack for charging while travelling with all of my devices. I am a fan of Dell hardware and I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7353 that is about 6 years old. I'm very pleased with it and I would consider another 2-in-1 such as this sometime in the future. own the ryzen 5 model. it still pretty good and still working like new. i own it for over a year now. loving it. so glad ive seen this review. even though i got the wrong ryzen processor lol but im not complaining.
I bought one of these a couple of months ago. I found the display, and especially the brightness, to be inadequate for even the casual user. Returned it to Best Buy and bought a HP Pavilion Aero 13 for less money and with 450-500 nits of brightness.
i love this computer very much! I got this in september and i play minecraft and do work on it too. i wanted to know how it can handle more higher end games like valorant or fortnite, but all things have their limits, so ill keep researching. but if you just want a great work laptop, this is a BEAST.

When upgrading the SSD, assuming I'd have to replace the current one of this rather than add in addition to? Also, when doing so if I was to want a 1tb or larger vs the 512gb, would I need to somehow switch then and then reinstall the os?
Yes, a new SSD. I upgrade mine from 256GB to 1TB. Basically, open the back panel and need to reinstall Windows 11 and also reinstall Dell softwares. A bit of work, but works well. Upgrade memory to 16 GB when you open back panel.
Hey so I checked my DELL AMD Ryzen 5 5500U. It says HDMI port is 1.4B so it's capable of 60hz. So I think your laptop is the same if not better....not capped at 30hz.

As a tip, if open up Dell Power Manger you could set the performance level to ultra and see if it makes any difference in games or other tasks.

I've tested valorant, PUBG & GTA 5, they run well with low settings on this machine.

Actually, there are few issues with Linux, mostly about the touchpad being disabled while leaving suspend. So I wouldn't recommend it for Linux users.

Purchase 16GB memory, DDR4 3200 8GB × 2. Purchase NVME M.2 SSD 1TB like Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Make a Windows 11 installation too, saved in USB.

Understand you pain. You can buy USB C hub with eternity and connect it to USB C post or USB A port.
