Why do Real estate companies split up so many farms anymore? I hate seeing that. I understand trying to get more price per acre but its unreal how many large farms get broken up. I guess most folks cant afford a large farm, or even want that many acres.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and ask about it. While we understand it's great for one farmer or one owner to have a large chunk of land, there are very few people who can afford to buy these bigger properties. Did you know that in many cases the larger properties started out as smaller parcels that the farmer or a group of hunters put together over time? Selling a property in smaller tracts can allow the neighbors to pick up some additional adjoining land, a hunter to purchase their first smaller recreational property, or a local farmer to pick up some additional tillable ground. Selling in multiple tracts also allows more people to achieve their dream of land ownership and the way our auctions work, ONE BUYER can purchase multiple tracts or even the whole thing.
