I see many people complaining (not you specifically) about how Undertale has ruined the song, but really, music is supposed to bring us together as a community, creating similarities and bridges between us, but instead, many of us focus too much on our differences and not on our similarities.

and while the undertale cover of the song is not bad it just doesn't compare to the steven universe version..most of that is it fits the moment better, it's a song completely written for garnet and how she explains how she is one at the same time of being two, the love both ruby and sapphire feel for each other and how this love created garnet. she's made of love

Holy cow do people actually think the song is originally from Undertale or is that just bait? Not only is that simply incorrect, there's no plausible explanation as to how it could be correct. Even if it did come from Undertale that would get Steven Universe in legal trouble for using it, and with such amazing composers they simply wouldn't do so. The soundtrack as a whole more than illustrates that they would have no reason not to make their own song.
Don't get me wrong, I've never heard the Undertale adaptation of it but I'm sure it's just fine, and I think Undertale is a great game that one can learn a lot from. I just think it's disrespectful to the creators of this song to say that someone else composed the song and the Steven Universe team copied it.
I just went and checked: the description of the Undertale video does indeed acknowledge that the song is from Steven Universe. It took, quite literally, thirty seconds to check. I'm not saying it's unacceptable to be wrong, it happens, but at least put in the bare minimum of effort before rudely insulting someone else's work.
