Coke Studio Bangla gifts us a song that is very special and quite unfamiliar for the ear. It's soothing and heavy at the same time and we got an unusual rhythm used in this. The singers did a phenomenal job on harmonizing, whilst I should forget about the quire. It wasn't my favorite song, maybe it wasn't ethusiactic enough but I enjoyed throughout and the lyrics remain to be a riddle for me. I need you people to explain me content of this song. Thank you so much for your comments!

Hey, there is nothing to apologize for! You only gave an honest opinion and I believe that we all are free to speak our mind. You're making reaction videos, reactions are not supposed to be the same all the time and if the audience is mature, they must accept that and be respectful instead of attacking someone mindlessly. Thank you for your honest reactions, bro!

Ultimately the song is about that eternal longing for someone you miss deeply and you feel the entire nature is missing that person along with you.
Yesterday was 'Buddha Purnima'.( According to Bangladeshi time) The most special day for the Buddhist community. You guys might have already figured out that Coke Studio Bangla has targeted the festival/special days mostly celebrated in Bangladesh to release its songs. This song depicted one's eternal longing for his/her loved ones, waiting and the bittersweet feelings of it. Probably it also reminds us about the pain and longing of Gautam Buddha's wife Yashodhara (Joshodhora in Bengali) when He left His home to know about life's greater meaning. But nobody talked about the wife who was left behind. It's just a thought. Somehow can be related with this particular song's plot.

Let me explain, Arnob is the creator of coke studio Bangla, in this song he is acting as a husband or a boyfriend who lives in a city and misses his wife or gf. All his explanation is like a city dweller, like bed and pillow, Chilety Roud means a slice of sunlight as we see in a city.
2nd mail vocal Boga or Ripon is acting like a wife or gf who lives far far away in a village and missing her love incredibly. why village coz all the item he is describing is like in a village, like a goose. Ripon is using the northern tone named va-woi-ya. if you listen to his vocal deeply you can feel the emptiness, a echo of a crying heart. Its a specialty of this type of music named Va-Woi-Ya. Its the northern type.
I love your pause because you analyze the instrument and lyrics in the pause and I love that. without your opinion, it is just a regular video. So do more pause. Now feel the song again.
    ALL ARE MY ANALISIS

Wrong brother, Boga Ripon vai part of traditional Bangladeshi housewife, who is crying for dowry, her husband oppressed her for dowry. So she calling her well-wishers 😢 this song collected by Jossim Uddin💗

In Arnob's part, he is mission his loved one so much and thinking about her all the time.
And then in the High pitch part that was sang by Ripon, he is wishing if his loved one could come to him as he is far away from her.
You are right... Those word's coming from two heavy hearted lover. Its a melancholic song.
The High pitch part is actually a traditional Bangali style. This genre is called Bhawaiya that is a type of folk music.

Subtitle can't give you the essence of this song. It is so deep that translations can give you idea, but can't help you in feeling the song. Specially Boga's part was so deep in lyric and style. I was almost tears while listening it. This is a perfect love song with longing and melancholy. I like the way you try to understand the song. Yes, the song is heavy.

Here, Two singers are singing two different songs. Arnob is singing a melancholic contemporary urban song with sort of surreal wordings. It probably expresses the urbane memories of a pained lover. The secong singer is singing A traditional folk song from the northers regions of bangladesh, which to you resembled like hook song. In old days, when cattle curts were still the mail means of transporting goods and people, the curt drivers would be away from home for a long time, for months even. longing for the husband, grieving wives would sing this BHAWAIYA song. This folk song touches the heart at the bottom.

Its like you go to Alps, hike, camp, stand in front of high mountains and feel soft and broad, and then come back to city, in your life, and are running for livelihood; and then on a lazy morning you start missing that broad nature. If you have a time like that listen to this song at that time, it will make you cry.
Er.. in Germany, I guess Black Mountain right? Where ever, go to the cradle of nature.

  • @smmashikkhan5025
    @smmashikkhan5025 2 года назад +6

It's basically a mix up of sad romantic & folk vawaiya song where the singer urges to see his beloved. And Arnob, he's singing about his hesitancy to express his feeling to his loved one. And he's describing his feeling relating it to nature.

In Bangla poems and lyrics there’s usually a lot of metaphors so a lot of it gets lost in translation, especially with poetic lyrics and most of it is written very poetically. For example: ‘bird in a cage’ is often a metaphor for our soul. So literal translation doesn’t always make sense. Love of God is a very common theme, and is sometimes used interchangeably with nature, or the love of nature.
This is a song about loss, grief and longing. Bulbuli was a song about the pain of separation and the beauty of love despite the pain..again used nature references as metaphors

This came out on Buddha Purnima.
On one side there is Buddha's great sacrifice leaving the maya of world and family for enlightenment where there is hesitant unsaid feelings of missing, on the other side is the longing, yearning Yashodhara left behind who lost her partner forever and never got to see him again.

You will understand better if you concentrate on the themes, rather than on the actual lyrics. Both parts of the song is about longing for the loved ones. Both of the singers are away from their loved ones but expressing in a bit differently.
Arnob (the first singer) is singing it from the urban perspective, where people are more restrained, they hold back their emotions a bit. He is missing his loved ones deeply but expressing it through metaphors only. He is reluctant to say it directly, or not sure how to say it. One of the line Arnob singing is "ei kothata kemne boli" which means "how can I tell her" (that I am missing her that much). So, he is remembering the lovely eyes and is unsure how to say it.
Ripon is singing and wailing unrestrained. He is from the rural part of the country where people do not hold back their emotion in the name of civility. They cry, laugh unrestrained. He is saying directly what he is feeling and asking his love to come back to him, to see him one last time. There is no holds bar, so you can feel the emotion much more directly.
There is another background. Yesterday was Buddha Purnima, the full moon night on which Buddha (the god of Buddhists) left his home, wife, and children to find the meaning of life. He left everything behind. This is not easy and he must have felt tremendous pain. The same is also true for his wife and children. This song paid tribute the pain people felt when they are away from their loved ones.
    Hope this helps.
And, please be honest. RUclips is full of people who do not understand the meaning of honesty. Honesty is in short supply and we need more of it, not less.

Aye man! Thanks for listening to our music. It really makes me happy watching you react to our (Bengali) songs!!
The song is about expressing the feeling of "missing your love of life".
Arnob is singing in a subdued voice because he's representing that feeling of a man living the city life.
Ripon is singing on a more powerful note because he's representing the rural life, where it's more open and free...so you can sing loudly.

This song ( or fusion of 2 songs) is metaphoric. On the slow part the singer is missing someone, with whom he is not in touch.Though the singer is missing deep inside, bt he can not express his love/affection/loneliness so loudly. On the other hand the high pitched singer is missing some one, whom he is calling out loudly make visible infront of his eyes

Just keep in mind it's a completely different culture. The way of expressing our thoughts and feelings is different from that of western songs, that's why the lyrics may seem difficult to grasp as we are not as direct and straight forward as the Westerners. its a idea started by Rabindranath Tagor.and now more reflects in folk songs...cz folks songs are for mainly the people who says away for home for their livelihood so they express their longing for family and also god through same lyrics...most of the time..in bangla culture... the way we express our love to god..same way we express our love to our beloved one..like..god is also our beloved one..thats why..so..a good number of songs can be dedicated to God or lover.. its on the singer/listener whom he wants to....🤘

Actually, it is a love song.
No matter where or who you are,the blue deep eyes speak just the same.
one lives a village, he tells his lover to come to me once, take a look at how I am.
on the other side, A boy lives in the city. He says - I miss you very much, but how can I tell you this? Because you are not with me.
The two boys grew up in different environments. The two speak differently, one speaks a pure city language, the other speaks a rural language. But they are both alone, they are both missing the person who they love.
So long story short even though there is a big difference between them externally, their feelings are the same. because love is universal, pain is universal.
Again, it can be said that - 'Here the relationship between nature and human mind' is meant. When you miss someone so much, and haven’t seen your lover for a long time then you believe that even nature near you is missing your loved one with you !

Don’t believe love for God is a part of the plot here. Like others said Arnab is painting a picture of a person missing his loved one dearly and that person being on his mind always and him tossing and turning and sleep comes on slowly to heal his grief of separation. Ripon is singing bhawaiya which is folk and takes the piercing melancholy to another level and beautifully mixed. There is another genre of Bengali music which is sung my boatsmen which also is lovely. Love love love this.

personally I think the folk vocal ( Boga Taleb) could be used more efficiently. He got a very unique voice texture which is perfect for Bengali folk. The genre he is singing is Bhawaiya (a type of bengaly folk). Any bengali speaking person would relate to that pain in his voice which is longing for the homeland /loved one's.
If not for the other singer's part(slow one), the track would've been better.

@@Chandravadancena I'm not trying to hate on India, bro. India has a huge classical and Bollywood base. But Rock and hip-hop has always been foreign to India. And you have failed to integrate it with indian culture. In Bangladesh we have had hip-hop music since 1993. We've had successful rap albums in the early 2000s. I'd request you to listen to some old school Bangla rap. We even had Bangla gangsta raps in the early days. Abar jigay, acid ke, ganjam are three songs I want you to listen to first. ✌️

@@JahidHasan-ne3uu i don't give a fck bro what are you talking about? Hip hop will always be foreign to India and shit? Where did you draw this conclusion from? Dude your judgment on a whole culture is so vague and childish. Seriously. I don't give a fk about any bangla rap. Wtf. There's a lot that you don't know or don't understand. But i don't give a damn explaining anything to you. Grow up dude

Its not like this actually. Things like mine is best not yours. Just like my little girl says "papa my dress is more beautiful than yours". Please have respect for each other. If u have a tour all around the world and eat only burger lets say chicken burger, you will find how it get different every time you find and eat one. If only a chicken burger can have that variation then you tell me a type of music

Okay so i think i can help with the rhythm.
In indian music we have a lot of vvariations with the rhythms. and we divide them in very "unnatural" ways along with the common 4-4 and 3-3 system.
This particular song is running on 7 beats divided as 3 - 2- 2.
    So it goes like
    1 2 3 | 1 2 | 1 2 | 1 2 3 | 1 2 | 1 2 | 1 2 3 | 1 2 | 1 2 | 1...
THIS PARTICULAR PATTERN IS KNOWN AS 'TEORA TAL' IN MY LANGUAGE(bengali).
We have other divisions as well that have 9, 10 11, 14 , and EVEN 19 beats.
there are also beats that go
with a 4-2 and 2-4 division to make up 6 beats.
You can look up taalas or tal which is basically beats and many will show up.

this rhythm stuff is very interesting, because I played drums back then. Often I played rythms that were unusual but I just memorized by lots of practice instead of counting them while playing.

just be authentic man. There are too many people who make reaction videos where all they say is "wow, so good. now please subscribe and watch me etc". I would much rather hear someone's honest comments.

You are not getting essence of the lyrics due to cultural difference and how words are constructed differently with different mode in different culture. You can't just get idea of the lyrics by reading it and putting meaning of the words.
