- The Patriot Valley Arms John Hancock, BadRock Precision SouthFork, and Seekins Precision Havoc Bravo are three top production precision rifles for 2019. These guns all come in under $2,000 and all shoot screaming groups. They are designed to compete in the production class of PRS, which makes them ideal for any shooter looking to get into tactical field matches.

Affordable? Wow! Boy do we have a different definition for that word!
PRS is not a cheap game, I dabbled in it for a year or so and I was out. LOL
Welcome to the new world when people are spending $10,000 on accurate rifles $2,000 is a pittance especially when you spend $1,000 on a scope
@@user-eg1ls1dq7y came here to say the same as a newb whos trying to get into it. Shits expensive as hell. Most good good stocks will run more than 2k
Probably have a different definition of precision also
Right ! 😐
I was looking at the Bergera HMR and Howa Bravo rifles (right at $1000 each) and thinking to myself they were kind of expensive! With the right glass on either one, they would probably hang right in there with these $2000+ rifles. Knowing your setup and being consistent means a lot.
The Bergera is a better option than the Howa. Plus the Howa is heavier and if you're using if for hunting and lugging it around, you'll regret it
I have a bergera b14 and my medium is about 3/4” groups
It’s the accuracy it’s the speed of a custom action and it’s the super heavy m24 contour that does heat up as quick factory contour u need speed perfect feeding tight group with a hot barrel that’s the difference in a 1000$ gun to a 2500$ prs class gun
A $300 savage can shoot sub moa too. There are many other differences though. Just the chassis alone on these rifles can cost $500-$1000. The bergara LRP 2.0 is around $2000 as well
Great review, Sir. To the point, informative, and no rambling. Thank you!
I use a Bergara B14 HMR 300 win mag. It will keep up and out class a lot of the top-end match rifles out there today. Retail without scope is $1,150. More than likely your gun dealer will knock off $100 off the top. My glass is a Nikon FX1000. It retails for $700. Include the picatinny rail and a decent bipod, and you have yourself one hell of a setup for just around $1,800.
You overestimate the $30 barrel on that gun.
Came in.. heard 2k$ and I’m out almost as quick as I came in :D
Same bro, same
Same here bro I feel like the title was a complete lie not that we don’t all understand that you can drop 2k on a gun but that’s not “affordable”
same here
Savage 110 Tactical is $600 on bud's and there's videos of hit hitting at 1,000yds. Food for thought, mine is coming in tomorrow in a 24' barrel and 6.5 Creedmoor.
Kevin P 24” not 24’. The ‘ means foot. I wouldn’t want to haul that around lol.
I see all the comments disagreeing with the title. It depends what your definition of affordable is. If you have been a target shooter for any length of time you know a good target rifle is expensive. These are way cheaper than what a pro uses. I have shot my savage 12 Long range precision and I would put that rifle against these three for sure as far as accuracy goes. No its not as smooth of an action but it is damn accurate. Good video of what they look like.
Surprisingly good looking rifles for comp guns! Those breaks look very effective.
I love the chant in the background it’s taken from “Guards Guards” by Terry Pratchet lol
Great entry point for PRS. Thanks for the video. 2K is cheap for this sport, well if you want to compete anyway.
It was enjoyable to watch this gun review.
Thanks for the vid. Didn’t know about these rifles. Good info
Great design means producing great results with reasonable design limitations. There are some great designs out there, the Savage 10 FCP-SR for less than a grand comes to mind. It will shoot with these Cadillacs any day of the week, and it took some real design skills to put it together, excellence despite design limitations.
savage has a good rep for producing left handed rifles too, were many others do not. and if they do the prices make it unaffordable.
I ended up purchasing a seekins precision in 6.5 prc because of this video. IMHO there are no bad apples in this group just my personal preference. I have never competed with it but I have shot it out to 1820 yards with excellent results. It has seekins precision 30mm rings and a vortex gen-II pst to round it out. Over all a good rig.
Sounds nice. 👍
very affordable. especially since the rigs many are using in precision are $4K or more with actions alone costing $1200-$1500. add another $4K for a scope and you're looking at $7K - $10K for a full competition rifle and scope. i've taken three weekends of precision long range rifle classes. many of my classmates and instructors were spending this kind of money on their rigs. I spent $1500 on a Ruger Precision Gen3 6.5 creedmoor and another $1800 on a burris scope which i just sold it for what i paid for it. i'm looking at the John Hancock or Badrock SouthFork as my next rifle as i get into entering my first competitions.
Ruger Precision is a dang great rifle and it is hanging in there with the expensive stuff, That Ruger has made 1 mile shots.
Great video, I've got an origin in a KRG bravo. The combo is great and I bet these are all just as good. I really enjoyed seeing these all run!
The action on the Patriot is awesome
Buy used - mine - Remington 700 .30-06 SPS ADL - $349 (like new used), Magpul Hunter 700L Stock - $279, Magpul Bolt Action Magazine Well - $79, M-Lok Scope Rail - $30, Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 with rings- $400 (never mounted), Total = $1137
And you can’t enter the events these were designed for with that!
Aftermarket stocks are banned from production class competition. This video is specific to that class.
Sub 1k- ruger American in 308. And decent Leopold scope- Shoots sub moa. Little brother took a coyote at 626 yards. Works for me.
That is all the RPR is, its just an American with a chassis, bigger bolt and bull barrel. You could turn your into one by buying a chassis from MDT. mdttac.com way cheaper to build your own.
@@ChuckBeefOG they do not come with a bull barrel.
dtbspookman45 nice. Similar. Just got a tikka ctr in 308. With a swfa glass. Love it. Havent made it that far yet tho lol
@@ChuckBeefOG dude those chassis are awesome. I may have to upgrade my 6.5 Creed with one. Have you tried one of these yet and if so would you recommend it for any basic rifle stock?

I attempted to see “just how low, you could go” and still have a dependable ‘relatively’ accurate kit - caught a Compass 6.5 Cr on sale (big box retail) for $259 w/22’, 5r barrel - coupled w/ Strike Eagle 3-18x44 at $329 - less than $700 w tax - three months ago I bore sighted, zero’d, and shot it on a s-texas range - 12’' plate - 655y, 5/5 - 875, 3/5 - 1095y, 3/10 - I have no formal training, but did have someone helping me at the 1095 mark - didn’t think that was bad for a $700 hunting kit including glass - think “I’m” going to find somewhere to take a couple classes on the subject
Thunder ranch has a phenomenal long range course as does tactical rifleman.
They both have some great videos here on youtube.
where can i get a 22 foot barrel lol sound like you got a sweet rifle for a good price.
@@coady-wp3xf - hmmm, didn't see that - lol - same with the plate, who could miss a 12 foot plate? - lol

@@gorioecho9789 Idk where you guys comes from but it's " after any number to mean inches. Ffs even subway does it.
I rebuilt a sporterized Mauser Gewehr 98 with an archangel stock, bipod, and match barrel. All in all about $1200 and very accurate with a hard hitting 8mm Mauser load. Not to mention one of the most dependable actions ever made. I'm honestly surprised rebuilt Mauser 98 sporters aren't more popular as cheap precision guns.
Also very surprised the Ruger Precision wasn't mentioned. It's an excellent rifle.
I have a sport kar98, that action is built like a tank. Almost no rattle. where did you get the match grade barrel?
@@catlikemeteor It was custom made by a local gunsmith. Even threaded it for a muzzle brake with a cap for the threads.
In my experience people want too much for sporterized rifles. They’re great based as you mentioned but they need a lot of work, on top of the fact that all of their historical value is gone.
True but there is no prs division that allows 8mm rounds
What a great video!!!!
Thank you
All of them seem ready to go , the Seekins is definitely my favorite. Great to see those rifles in a price range for a average person like myself, looking to start a new adventure.
John Hancock, good Oregon man.my home.
All 3 are good options if your trying to start at that $2k price point. However I think there are some great options out there for a better price point to have performance like that. I would start with Bergara, like the B-14 HMR and B-14 BMP, both well under that $2k price point allowing more room in a budget for optic and muzzle device. Other options would be Savage products, and Ruger. If you had no other options then maybe a Remington.
@Ben Sal yep. Best budget gun. Love my 6.5 Creedmoor. The hmr is a great entry platform.
Just picked up the Weatherby Vanguard, not quite the same budget, but nevertheless interesting video. Thanks for the upload man
Great video John.
Me personally I think the best gun to buy is the one you can afford. If it works for you and your happy that's all that matters.
Howa, Ruger, Bergara and Savage all offer excellent long range rifles that consistently shoot sub moa groups for half the price of the rifles in the video.
You have reason,i have a savage 10 fcp-k and it,s not difficult to group .500 or less at 100 yards, when i feel good many times .250 in at 100 yards,i have a good scope and i reload, with a factory ammo fed gold medal match 168 gr smk .500 in it,s not difficult,my scope is a night force 5x20 56 mm shv forceplex, howa, ruger, bergera is a very good rifle, mine sav 10 fcp-k is not superior to the others this rifles shoot very well and the price is low,my scope is expensive.
Bergara B-14 HMR to name one, 1,000-1,400. Or 2,000 for the premier version.
some great options to add a good scope and a few accessories to and light enough for some hunting tasks.
I like the Savage axis. It's affordable, readily available, and often has bundles with vortex scopes
“Ready shoot out of the box” with no mags included and no glass...great video but like the comments say, not “affordable”
F49 yeah I take a Ruger precision any day
It’s affordable, I just bought the Seekins.
My $400 ruger American in a $400 MDT chassis shoots better than my precision and it was $400 less when I bought it. Still $200 less today. Looks way cooler too.
I had a RUGER American Predator in 6.5 CM with a Timney trigger and Boyd's laminated wood stock. GREAT accuracy but NO bolt lock so I sold it. RUGER needs to wake up and fix that.
I think in this case “affordable” is a subjective term with regard to PRS, and the fact that Production Class was designed to offer somewhat more level playing field to people who don’t want to drop $4k-$8k on a custom rifle. There are plenty of less expensive options, but if I had to make a guess with this video, the intent is geared more towards factory options that give you the most premium of rifles while still being complaint with Production class restrictions. Just my take on it though.
I saw a RUclips video a couple years ago where a guy bought a Ruger American. Put an adjustable check rest on the stock. Put a scope on it. Then at a mile hit the target 6 times out of 10 shots. That seemed pretty dam impressive to me. I'm just getting into precision shooting tho.
Look at the Tikka.
@@lutherlewis6792 just bought my T3X Tac A1. Can’t wait to get started
@@rlsullivan85 In my opinion you have just bought the best rifle on the market. You can shoot it all on day and it keeps its accuracy. Different loads will sight in differently but they are all accurate. Congratulations. I put a good vortex on it and can hit a quarter or golf ball at 250 yards.
Only problem you will have is the cartridge feed on the magazine. Just open it up and stretch the spring a little bit.
Great info! What scope do you have (should you have) on this Seekins please????
I like that folding barricade!
Thought was about to get my first affordable bolt action rifle. Guess I have to stick with my bb and pellet gun and that old ak
You can get a bolt action rifle that shoots more accurate than most out of the box semiautos under 400 which is precise enough for most long range shooting, the extra money is if you are trying to hit a dime from a mile and a half.
@@funnelvortex7722 yup, not gonna spend extra when I cant even shoot that accurately. 😭😭😭
We shoot 6.5 Creedmoor MVP"s with a MDT chassis topped with Vortex Strike Eagles 4 x 24 x 50. We shoot 850yds with great accuracy! I believe we have around $1200 without the MDT chassis that we didn't need, just wanted the look, we have 2 of them, both shoot excellent. We're shooting 1200 in August at Bangsteel in Roanoke. They will do fine. We also have 338 and 300 in Savage 110BA stealth that shoot excellent at 1750 yds. Those are topped with Athlon Helos 8-34 x 56 BTR. We shoot beside guys with $4000 rigs and out shoot them......if you can shoot, there are many guns that will serve you well for not a fortune! Enjoy
3:56 Badrock Precision Southfork . Now that rifle looks beautiful 😍.
Thanks, I’m a fan already.
Is the 2k price including the scope? Because a 2k rifle with another 3k scope isn’t obtainable for most.
I would disagree with your statement. 5k is obtainable. What is NOT obtainable for most is the discipline to save for it.
@@davidcole333
Sure, anything can be saved for... But the title indicated that these would be "affordable" ... when discussing pretty much any product, classifying something as 'affordable' means that you dont need to save up for a year or more to buy it.
There are rifles in the $800-$1200 range that could fit this description. Ruger, Howa, Savage and Remington to name a few, all produce rifles that could be reviewed under the banner of 'affordable'
Bare bones models of custom guns by builders no one has heard of outside of a few internet forums and competition circles that cost 2-3x more than a Ruger or Howa in the same configuration.......... just doesn't make it.
Just get a Vortex PST II 5-25 for around 1k and you are on the game
@@davidcole333 truth. I saved for a long time to buy my Nightforce NXS. Best $2000 I have spent.
your mom these are budget competition rifles built for a specific class that limits to $2000 price point. They aren’t budget hunting rifles. They aren’t budget mass produced rifles. But they are the budget class competition rifles. A full blown custom can easily approach $10k. Compared to that it is budget. $3000-$4000 for a competition setup is cheap.
What other hobby can you be competitive for $5000? Nothing automotive related, nothing boat related, nothing motorcycle related. Probably can’t even get a full racing drone setup and a season worth of parts/replacements for that. Sure can’t get a new snowmobile or 4wheeler. Even racing bicycles are over that. It’s not for those who are broke but it’s far from an extreme barrier to entry relative to most other competitive hobbies.
Tikka CTR. Been around more than a decade. Still a champ
Tiika T3x TAC A 1
the bergara hmr pro is $1500 out of the box and i've seen 2 at my range and both shot 1/3rd moa, they're factory tested and the shot card is sent from the factory with the rifle
I’ll be getting the Seekins!
I bought a Savage FP110 in .300 WinMag in 1997 for about $400. Will shoot 1" groups at 100 yards easily. Granted, that is with handloads that I've built up over a period of a few years experiementation. But still. Great gun for under $500.
Have the same in 3006 great rifle
Things have changed a bit in the last 20+ years. In the 1997 I used to buy junky cars for $300-800 and they actually ran good enough to take them on day trips and keep them for up to a year. Now cars that need to be towed due to bad engines and transmission are that price and trucks and SUVs that don't run are even more. I also used to go to big concerts for $20-40 and those same artists are now 5 or 10 times that. Thankfully guns aren't 5-10 times the price that they used to be, but still- prices have gone up.
Great gun ,$110 bucks with tax when it came out.
So my boss got into precision shooting last year when he picked up a ruger precision in 6.5 creedmore.
What a lot of the other commenters don't seem to realize is once you get bitten by this stuff it becomes an obsession to shoot as small of a group as far out as you can.
He sells plasma to pay for brass. Just got a Kreiger barrel for a new rifle he's building, didn't bat an eye when I told him how much a prismatic +25 mil objective attachment costs.
2k really is a cute starting point for a just the rifle in this kind of game. It's not about being able to take an effective shot at game at 400-800 yards. These rifles are heavy, I wouldn't want to take one hunting. Again it's about having the smallest group at the longest range. Push your load out there until the groups open up, then figure out how to get them out farther, or build a new rifle in a cartridge that can.
Thats a Natural Progression....!!!!
Are there any mim components used in any of these rifles ? Are they available in .308 / 7.62X51 and .300 Win Mag ? What is the receiver constructed of ? What is the circumference of the barrel from the muzzle to the receiver ? What material are the stocks constructed of ? Do the stocks have an aluminum chassis ? Do the barrel muzzles come threaded so a muzzle break can be added as in your demonstration rifle ? Can the bolt handle be untreated so allow for a larger and different shape ball ?
Who manufacturers the barrels, krigger, etc ? Are the barrels and receivers stainless steel ?
I'm new to this those groupings are at what distance? What are those rifles chambered in? Thank you for the video
My Savage 110FP 300 Win mag shot .47" out of the box & my Savage 111 Trophy Hunter XP shot .42" out of the box, both at 100 yds w/ Federal blue box factory ammo & both around $500. $2000 should put every round dang near in the same hole.
yeaaaah bullshit. proof or it didn't happen. and by proof i mean an entire unedited video of you shooting from 100yds and walking your ass up to those targets to show that group size.
@@taylorharris5601 You need to talk to people that shoot Savage rifles before you go poppin off letting your mouth get ahead of your brain. Pretty brazen for a young pup. Yes but if you put those hunting rifles against these competition rifles they would get smoked along with the shooters shoulder.
Savage are insanely accurate rifles for their price. I got in before the Axis series when they made their first “kit” gun. The Axis are cheaper rifles that will experience issues eventually, but they will drive tacks and they are cheap enough not to care about. I want to buy a model 10 and put it on a MDT chassis
@@Happyhandcannon who do you think you are talking to "farm boy" I am from Iowa myself dipshit I see it in your name. I used to live near Elkader in east iowa. I live in florida now. I know many many people who own savage rifles. Everything from an axis to a model 110. I have never seen a savage shoot .47 groups at 100yds even with custom loads. And you aren't even using custom loads. So BULLSHIT! The best I have seen a model 110 do is a .76 group and that was in a gun vice. I own a bergara b14 and shoot .5 groups regularly at 100m laying down, and the best I have ever done using a gun vice mind you is a small 5 shot .386 inch group and 100 meters since I use a mil scope. And you want to claim that a savage got close to that. No way.
Props on your speed working the bolt for the most part but it will never cease to amaze me how people will spend the same amount of money on a pistol that will never see more than 30 yards when you get something that will do work at well over a thousand

My Savage 110 Tactical 24" with a Vortex scope, Harris bipod, extra mag, hard case, muzzle break, shoots like a dream and all of that was under $1000.
Take it to a PRS or NRL match and let us know how it shoots
@Luis Hernandez Who's never shot a match?
I Banks I believe it's more about training. Majority of people who go to PRS matches are actualy training for it.
For newbie there's not big difference between using 500 or 2000$ gun. Cartridge is more important and trigger tho.
That's what I shoot. Savage 110 Tactical in an XLR Element Chassis with a PST Gen II 5x25x50. For the money it shoots amazing.
Ruger American 6.5 you can even throw a chassi stock or any of your preference....and a scope and stay under the $2k
I thought this would be featuring rifles more in that price range, but I guess not
But you can’t compete in the class of actual long range PRS events these rifles were designed for! How do I know? That’s exactly what I did and was rejected, so I got the Seekins!
These are long range rifles. Sighted in at 200. Warm up at 500. 300 isn’t long range.
@William Heart have the same rifle and shoots 600 yards all day long with a viper pst gen 2 scope. I think what you get with these is the light weight we dont have with the rpr lol..
These rifles are for PRS Production Class, so you can’t change the stock from the factory configuration, or you’ll have to move to the open division, in which case you’re going to use a $1k rifle to compete against rifles costing $4k-$10k.

So everybody's always got an opinion on stuff like this, so here's mine: The best precision rifle features/build quality/accessories for the money is the Thompson Center LRR. It's just over $1000 (with optics is a bit more, but still sub $1500 depending on where you get it), but it comes with a fluted bull barrel, muzzle break, 10 round metal magazine, case, bipod, tactical bolt knob, picatinny rail, adjustable butt and cheek rests, skeleton aluminium frame, great two stage trigger, and great tactical grip. You can get it in FDE or black, and it's available in 6.5 CM, .308, AND .243! Just my two cents, but if you are in the market, and your local gun store has one, do yourself a favor and check it out,
swfa scope in any modern day rifle that is harmonically sound will get any job done. probably around 1000 bucks tops

Howa HCR or Howa Orynx…$1,000. Sub 1 MOA out of box, and with some skim bedding and load development they both will shoot .5 MOA. Howa just may be the best bang for the buck out there.
Hit the nail on the head there !!!
These days there is so many tac driving guns from $299 and up same with scopes . Its kind of funny how the price of these guns are quite high vs. a gun that is in the economical class and get simulator results.
Not even comparable. You can’t take a $300 factory hunting rifle and shoot sub Moa over and over particularly in the plastic furniture they come with. You might shoot a few good 3 shot groups. Try shooting a 10 or 15 shot group and see what it does. Tikka is the best we’ve found for cheap but still in over 1k for a CTR. If $300 rifles would do this people wouldn’t spend thousands getting what they do.
@@nathanhudelson4935 I don't know, I have a rem783 and a compass in the gun safe that I can drive 5 rounds into a quarter at 100 yds. The technology that has been developed in rifles over the years did not go on deaf ears at these rifle companies. I had a custom gun made for me years ago and I remember I only had just a few barrel options because there are only a handful of barrel makers. The actions today are way more rigid , the cheap guns might not be as smooth to open or close but they are stiff. Even stocks have aluminum inserts these days for consistency.
Thanks i wanna help my friends find stuff worth keeping

I dunno.
Ammo is a little pricey.
And they run all over.
For just target shooting, how about a $450 Ruger Precision in 17 HMR with a $150 Nikon scope instead?
Iv'e had a Tikka Tactical for some years now. A grand for the rifle, a grand for optics 500 for brake, bipod etc. I shoot same hole at 100 with my hand loads...
Is there a timed discipline for long range precision? Just looks like your rushing around and being ham fisted
Noticed you're running a nightforce on one. My cheapest nightforce was almost 2 grand...so how much is the rifle again?
1750-2100
You don't have to run a Nightforce on it you know.
All of you complaining about the price could cut your beer budget in half and have one of these rifles and a decent scope. These arent hunting rifles, the are production class PRS rifles that you could take hunting, it doesnt always work the other way. These are affordable rifles for serious people taking the time to get them right and compete, not so affordable if you arent using them for what they are designed for. Hell, I'm not rich and my last rifle was $2800 plus glass and other accessories. It just depends on the purpose of the rifle and what you are going to do with it.
So you bought into the marketing hype. Well good for you there fella. It doesn't matter what you get into. They try to up sell products that have no bearing on your abilities to perform. Im very pro 2A but Im an even bigger bass angler. I have a 30,000 dollar Aluminum bass boat and all of my rod and reel combos each cost less than 200 bucks. I see guys in 80k bass boats, 10,000 worth of graphs, and 600 dollar rods pull in to the docks on the regular. I ask how they did. "Oh the fish weren't doing anything today". I will usually say something like man I didnt catch anything either just to make them feel better, but the reality is I have my limit for the day in the livewell and I threw some back. Expensive gear does not make you better. It just makes superficial ass people feel better. My uncle has a saying that Ive lived by. "Foolish men build sheds with 100 dollar hammers, skilled men build houses with 25 dollar hammers and sleeps easier with more money in his pocket."
I'm looking to learn the ways of the bolt action
Must be
American made
Lifetime warranty
308
Magpul magazine compatible
1/2 moa at 1100 yards capable
100% scary black to terrify the Liberals
The cheaper the better while meeting specs. And I'm just going to buy a damn SWFA SS scope to throw on it.
So far, Ruger American Hunter with Magpul Hunter buttstock is the best I can find. Isn't black though. It's like a dark grey. Who the fuck decided grey was a good color? 🤔
Anybody got any recommendations
@@diversify210 Marketing hype, no. The rifle has certain features that make it more expensive. Your analogy is correct though, my less expensive rifles work very well, as do my zebco's.
Actually, they are over-designed with no real advantage to many production rifles. If you're not buying the manufacturer "taking the time to get them right and compete," what are you getting for the money? Those were good but not world class groups.
I own the BadRock “SouthFork” rifle and I love it....amazing package...$2300 if you have it
Production Class PRS as I understand it, sets a max cost on rifle at $2k, scope at $2k. You can go less expensive, that’s the max limit. After saying that, I purchased the Seekins Havak Bravo in 6.5 PRC along with a Steiner T5Xi 5-25x56. By the time you purchase ammo, a bipod with a few accessories your over 5k, and you’re still supersonic at 1 mile. Birthday and Christmas came early...
Like almost everybody else is saying, these high-quality, “LOW-budget” rifles are only affordable in the RELATIVE term. You have to realize just how much YOU’RE willing to fork over just to break in to the sport..which, apparently...is a HIGH-END game.
No cheap hobby if you're serious.
Savage 12FV is hard to beat for a fraction of these prices.
Once in a while, I dreamed of them in the sub $200 again...
I picked up a 12FV in 6.5CM for $319.99 and there was a rebate as well at the time. Great rifle but stock was crap so put a $280 B&C varmint tactical one on. Best shooting rifle I have and for right at $600 minus the scope. My only real issue with it is the blind mag
Ha.
no its not, the savage only has price going for it. its ergonomics are from the 1800s and not conducive to prs or target shooting.
I got my wife a 12fv and I've got a bighorn origin. There's a price gap but its definitely not hard to beat. Sloppy action, weak ejection, poorly made barrel... I could go on... my POI shifts down 1 Mil when the barrel heats up.
I've dealt with savage customer service before and it's awful. They are built as throw away guns...
This is great info! Thank you.
What caliber are you shooting?? And what distance are you shooting?
Considering the budget conscious, how do these stick up against the Ruger Precision Rifle? (I had the chance to buy one for $799)
I would jump on the RPR. They have all kinds of aftermarket options now that will fit just about anyone's needs.
All of these rifles are significantly better than the Ruger Precision. The ruger has bad ergonomics and needs a ton of work done to it to shoot at this level. If you are budget conscious look at the Bergara HMR, that is a massive step up from the Ruger and is in the same price range.
@@Burgerofthehill Just out of curiosity, how do any of these rifle offer better ergonomics? And how are the Significantly better? Smoother bolt operation? The guy in the video struggled a bit.
The accuracy wasn't anything special. The weights were nearly ten pounds. Not super lightweight.
The ruger already comes with a muzzle break. One of the "budget friendly" options didn't. The ruger also takes ar10 mags which are much cheaper. so there's that.
RPR all the way my RPR 6.5 shoots almost same hole at 200 yards on target 300 yards hits steal every time with consistent hold over.
Jared Davis
Go for the RPR. If you are concerned about budget, it has so much to offer in aftermarket and is quite capable of excellent groups. These 2K rifles are bare bones, he mentioned one of them didn't even come with a mag. Once you add a decent scope and whatever else you may need, they are no longer that "affordable. There seem to be a lot of people involved in this sport that don't feel like 3K - 5K is a lot of money to spend on a "hobby" but for the average person that is quite a bit of money. It always reminds me of the kid that shows up with the best bat, best cleats and best glove, that is average at best, who is then crushed by the kid with an old tattered glove, a wooden bat and old sneakers, that can hit the ball out of the park. Sure, the equipment can help but it usually boils down to the skill of the operator, not the equipment. Best of luck brother.
I like guns bt not available in india....,?not to easy purchase....? Difficult licence process😞😞
You get what you pay for I would love to have one of these guns myself I've spent over $2000 setting my howa up how I like it but after trial and error I can put another howa together for about $1300 and have just as good a grouping at a 100 yds but it would be nice to fire em both till their hot and see groups compared but anyway it's not like I'm ever going to get my barrel hot one shot deer drops and at best 3 shots 3 kills and I'm done for the season lol
I personally had a Savage model 110 chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum that you could stretch bullet holes with at 200 meters and this was bone stock as delivered from Savage and I bought it for $360 brand new gun, scope and hard case.
nope.
Tikka tx3 6.5 creedmor for 1k
You’re welcome 😉
Welcome for what? A plain Jane T3x isn’t ideal for prs shooting.
Him:2k
Me: I thought it said cheap
what cal can we get these in? how affordable are these to shoot?
Love it
Bergara HMR. Save your self 1,000 bucks
BoscoBear or get the far sexier BMP, for a little more
And get a Blackhound scope! They are fantastic and inexpensive
Howa HVR 1500
Well I looked up that hmr, and he’ll yea. I fucking like it dude. 🤙🏻
Hell
“Affordable”..... to maybe 5% of sport shooters. I’d think affordable to most of us would be more in the $600 range.
that's like saying a corvette isn't affordable compared to a ferrari...
Bjorn Egan more like saying an Alfa 4c is affordable when Miata’s exist.
Just buy an mdt chassis and a short action bolt gun of your choice. It’ll shoot better than you.
@@BuggaBoy69 it's not 'more like' anything. it's all relative. since you magically know what my shooting skill is, could you also magically tell me the winning lotto numbers?
Bjorn Egan yeah I know you can’t shoot a .7 moa group while on the move. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to know that. And actually my analogy is more factual than yours considering that both cars I mentioned have the same purpose and close performance but pose a $60,000 difference in price (20k-80k). Similar to people who waste their money on high end prs gear, there’re people who waste thousands on high performance cars and because the car itself is high performance, the person behind the wheel never learns enough to take it to its limit.
Get what I’m saying?
With on the move shooting these high end rigs will only squeeze 1 second off your time. If you get more than that it’s because you haven’t trained hard enough with a cheaper rifle.
@@BuggaBoy69 i didn't realize the mark of a precision rifle was shooting groups while 'on the move'. the rest of your comment is pointless.
Can u please make a comprehensive comparison video between the TRG m10 SAKO & the Beretta MRAD also shooting at the range the 3 different calibre .308, .300 & .338 lapua
Were these shot with regular factory ammo? & what caliber?
2k with optic? If not you're better off with a Ruger Precision that you can pick up for $800 drop 1k on a optic and bipod and were still 200 bucks cheaper than this thing.
2k is because PRS has a 2k rifle limit for production class.
The eval wasnt about RPR since its not new to the scene nor part of the manufactured base that they are talking about. Attention to detail would suit most of yall out.
CoOnIcK91 I would hope with optics seeing as he says ready for precision shooting right out of the box
@@TheMattc999 Its ready to shoot a match out of the box but that doesnt mean it comes with everything needed to shoot...ie: It doesnt come with ammo. So its obviously not skmething you take straight out of the box to the barricade on comp day. You still gotta get some glass for it and ammo since neither are organic to the firearm since these firearms arent sold with optics nor ammo....only used firearms are sold with optics already mounted unless its a real cheapopos! Lol
armyreader1 well, for what they are, they kinda _ARE_ cheapos, soooo......
0:34 *anxiety increases*
That green Seekins wow hubba hubba
Hello, on the middle riffle what was the scope model and MFG?
