FYI, there is an old town called Sandwich in the county of Kent (south-east England). The Earl of Sandwich was addicted to gambling and was often at the tables
for hours on end, without stopping to eat. One day, he asked to be brought a slice of beef between two slices of bread and so this snack was named after him.
Congratulations on 10K subscribers (including me). BTW, Harvard was founded by one of ours, John Harvard married the daughter of the Rector of Ringmer

The game called "Rounders" is what Baseball ⚾️ comes from, originally it was called Base ball. Rounders is played in UK Primary schools, consists of 4 bases, the batter hits the ball then has to run round the bases before the ball is caught by the fielders, who will touch the base with the ball to catch the batter out.

All FIVE of the examples you had yet (at the rime) seen in the original video were performances by Brits NOT using a British accent: Alan Rickman with a German Accent, Jeremy Irons ALSO with a German Accent, Gary Oldman with various accents INCLUDING a spot-on SOUTHERN AMERICAN accent (The others were "generic historical" Eastern European and spot-on Russian)
On another point, I love the fact that Anna seems to already be very-well versed in UK culture, even if she didn't realise it earlier.

Anna, if you're after a good book recommendation, a classic you could try out is three men in a boat by Jerome K Jerome - it might take a little effort to get into the groove of the victorian era language but it's very, very english & a lot of the humour is observations about human nature & holds up very well today, showing that people really haven't changed all that much.

Funny seeing one of the UK shows (Emmerdale), which was originally filmed on my father in laws farm, and I've fimed in the series also. They had a donkey on the television farm called Hamish, that was named after my father in law as a joke, took him a while to see the funny side of it 😂😂

(10:05) AND did you know that _All in the Family_ was a remake of a famous British sitcom?
It was called _Til Death Us Do Part_
...and starred (amongst others) Tony Blair's (the UK Prime Minister's) Father-in-Law in the Rob Reiner role as the live-in daughter's husband.

You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner after 10mins of Ep.1

JT, if you want to be thrown into a deep end of slang and accents imo the films snatch and lock stock and two smoking barrels will bend your brain until it snaps. Especially lock stock’s scene in the Samoan pub and any thing in snatch said by one punch Micky. I’m English myself and there have been moments where I’ve needed subtitles to work out what’s being said.
