Internal fuel lid opener is not given because it's an off road vehicle and there are chances of fuel lid opening during off-roading. As saftey measures opening with a key is preferred.
Drove the same Model practically straight out of the Showroom from Chandigarh - Delhi - Lucknow - Darbanga - Siliguri -Kalimpong ……. A total of 1832 km and got an overage of 18.78 after a mixture of Highways, Expressways and Hill driving, going from 500ft above sea level to 4600 ft above sea level in 18 Km (mostly 1st & 2nd gear). - fabulous performance so far ❤
Removing 4WD has reduced kerb weight for sure. But if there are 4 passengers with average weight of 70kgs, mileage has to drop. It would be good to a highway mileage test with 4 passengers. May be 15.3kmpl will drop to 13.3kmpl. But it would still be a good one.

Good Work however suggest for correct mileage test while filling fuel tank at fuel pump you should 1st step fill the tank to full then shake the car for two minutes then you will find the air coming out of fuel tank creating more space. 2nd step again fill the tank upto edge and shake the car...do this until the air is out and no more space is available..then go for the test on road come back to the same fuel pump and fill it again and shake the car again the same way it was done earlier..then note the reading before and after... this is the correct way of fue mileage test

My safari 3litre 2006 vx model gave 16.8 between Mumbai to himachal swarghat. Then at high altitude 13.4. I did a solo drive Mumbai to kargil army base via Manali and returned via Kashmir..drove Kashmir to ajmer 30.5 hrs non stop and rested 2 days...then drove ajmer to Mumbai non stop. Video footage and dash cam on my channel. 2006 model still gave a wonderful avg and it weighs close to 3000kgs

I’m owning Thar Hard Top and it’s a Worst vehicle. There is Huge malfunctioning in the vehicle.There is leakage in the roof hard top and water drops fall on the skull. 4 times vehicle has been called by the agency but they couldn’t able to fix this issue. Horn gets freezes during winters. Glove box is totally useless as it is very small and it has already comes out from the vehicle. Diesel tank lid has been broken. AC vent window knob has been broken during routine usages. Even rear defogger wire has been broke down due to opening of rear glass. Never purchase pasting accessories as they never fix on the vehicle and looks shabby. So I would suggest u to purchase some good vehicle in such a huge cost of 18 lacs instead of this scrap. My audi q5 2.0 TDI which 11 years old gives me 16 to 17 kmpl on highway when I ride 80 to 90 and gives 13 to 14 kmpl when I drive around 120 and more and gives 10 to 11 in city. Its a 2000 kilo weight car and its all time 4 by 4. I bought it second hand at 13 lakhs in, a pretty good condition

18.78 kmpl in MID means 15.78 kmpl in actual mileage. Still very impressive. Mileage will increase once you break in the engine

Ye constant speed pe test tha mostly. City and bad roads pe the average will drop significantly. I expected more of the 1.5 engine. A good car though
