Maybe fame is itself a form of trauma? Trauma of any form can lead to emotional stunting. This is pretty mindblowing. I never thought about this.

I guess that makes sense evolutionary. You are either known by many people for being a leader or for being too different from the rest. And children and teenagers are definitely not in a leadership position, so I guess it might be traumatizing feeling like you are the odd one out. Idk how to phrase it.

Trauma response is part of our natural system and can be a good thing when left alone as a natural process; the entire problem is men (and women) trying to "hack" this response to control others (or even themselves). They think it's "the next evolutionary step" but it's simply the neurological equivalent of clubbing someone over the head. Sure, you can do it. Sure, you can drag them by the hair into your cave. Is it the most effective or the best/right way to do something and should you do it? Probably not, caveman.

Miranda is not weird bc she doesn’t want to drink. I think her saying “ she doesn’t have a good reason” is a great reason on why not to drink. As a society we are consumed with alcohol and “ being drunk”. Proud of her!

This is so true, proud of her! Also, it's so weird how alcohol and "being drunk" is such a normal thing to the point where you're the weird one if you don't do it lol

This happens to a lot of people, usually when a major event takes place in your life. My aunt died when I was 16 and I've noticed that I kinda haven't left that phase behind, it's weird when you notice it but it happens

Miranda Cosgrove is a bad example, some people just don’t think drinking is appealing. Also Paris Hilton is literally just playing a character, she said it herself in a documentary a couple wile ago.

How is that not still a problem..the fact that Paris even does that stems from trama..and her upbringing was very much tramatic

I think it is a trauma thing tbh , I'm clean now but became addicted to drugs at 14-15 , I'm 24 now but mentally I'm 15 ( That's what my doctors have said ) , I know it's no where near the same as being famous but I think what happens is you're brain sticks to a certain traumatic event that was a big moment in your life and gets so stuck there it almost forgets to develop and then your just stuck there , Just my opinion

Hi Patty! You popped up on my homepage, this was honestly so interesting. You’re so well-spoken and I legit just love the way that you think.
With the theory, you pretty much nailed it with all of these examples. These are some of the most famous pop stars of the last 20 - 40 years. They must have all had such incredible (as in hard to fathom, not necessarily all good) lives, you’ve inspired me to watch more of their docs.

I think it's because the age of fame is the age where their real self had to stop living and an other "self" took over

So I'm 40 and I think trauma emotionally stunted me pre-18 because even now I have trouble with doing something if I havent gotten permission for it, including drinking, getting pierced/tatooed, etc.

I think this is a cool interpretation of what really said but it can also mean maybe that the expectations and pressure will always be at the level in which it was when she got famous and is expected to act or have the same success as that age

I’m 37 and have never been drunk or smoked anything. I don’t think that’s weird at all. People don’t need to explain why they don’t do those things. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Miranda is more mature than some of her peers that age and she got famous super young. Having boundaries, knowing what you want, having the guts to go back to school and being a stable famous person all are very mature behaviours shes displaying

I think in MJ's case, his weirdness was due to having to work and the abuse it came with in childhood.
With miranda, some ppl just don't drink ...
Justin dealt with alot of trauma in the industry. He is showing signs of maturing since being with hailey. Same with miley .... she also dealt with alot and has been maturing. Mariah is playing .... she has a sense of humour but she also acts her age.
The rest are doing bad things that yall just want to excuse.

Blew my mind awesome theory I wonder if this is directly related to MK ULTRA, but also makes sense due to the money and fame and constant demand from the public to be the person they once new and loved

I'm grateful this stuff is coming out but it's also pretty funny to watch the mainstream try to take it in. I have experienced multiple people trying to speak to me like I'm 16 (I'm 38 lol) lately and I can't help but think they either think on some level that I'm mentally frozen or they are just sheeping along with the monsters' orders? Anyways it's hilarious and I am not complaining i guess lol

I dont think its true for most, some can yes but not all. Many celebs grow up and mature, its simply society being obsessed with youth in women and celebrities having the money to fight against that

In 1 way, the business of fame inhibits growth bc ur absorbed in maintaining it esp since everything u’d do is business. After all, any1 who only works has no time 2 grow. A 2nd more probable-based & theoretical way is that ur concerns r not gonna keep u humble since u have the privilege not 2 worry about it.
But umm … I think in some of these examples, when it’s not trauma, it might also b just ingrained in their personality or could b neurodivergence allowing 1self 2 not b intent in obtaining every marker of adulthood. I mean, a lot of these celeb examples HAVE grown (& through different ways). I wouldn’t say ur theory is 100% correct & always applicable but I think there’s fair assumptions.
