I didn't tell the story of what happened in my first over 100 km ultra-running race back in 2022 when I was still in Canada. More specifically, I traveled to Quebec City to attempt one of Canada's most beautiful ultra trail races - Quebec Mega Trail, 110 km with 5000 meters of elevation gain.
It was a great adventure, and I went into the race with the attitude to study the sport and learn about myself, about nutrition I want to use during these races, and much more.
I knew that the result would be directly proportional to the time I spent in preparation. With that in mind, I was not setting my expectations to the sky.
Sometimes our ego is writing checks our body can't cash, and it happened to me that 110km was too big for me at that moment.
But on the other hand, I couldn't hope for a better lesson than this. Loses are great teachers if you are open mind and capable of seeing what happened and what you can improve.
It's time to get better. Step by step. See you soon.
